Brian Chanse, self-diagnosed adrenaline junkie and all-round good guy, is driving through a freak rainstorm in New Mexico when he takes pity on a hitchhiker. Little does he know that his passenger has loads more problems than mild hypothermia. It turns out that ex-cat burglar Delta Fox is running for her life. Why and from whom, she doesn't know, but the answers lie in her old stomping grounds in L.A. After Brian outmaneuvers the Yakuza in a high-speed car chase, Delta appreciates his talents but resists his offers of help. When the Yakuza threatens his staff, however, Brian insists they team up. So begins their partnership into the L.A. underworld, into a twisted place of murder and seduction, betrayal and revenge. Between her stealth skills, his stunts and their compulsion to watch over each other, they just might survive the hunt.

S. M. Stelmack is our pen name, short for Serge & Moira Stelmack.

We aim to give what we like in a story— gutsy men and women, high stakes and LOL lines. Serge is the storymaster who blasts out the beginning, middle and end. Moira comes behind, clucking and hemming, as the story undergoes countless rewrites till it meets our vision. She's also the media relations manager, senior editor, marketing VP, director of operations (domestic and foreign), comptroller and the one who makes sure that Serge has a steady supply of cola while he works.

We live with our two kids, and several other strange pets, in a land of wintertime sunshine and snow and summertime mud and mosquitoes. Actually, it’s not that bad. The snakes in the local lake aren’t venomous.

Price drop to $.99 for a limited time!! If you're looking for a great new Romantic Suspense author, this was a great one. This is an author to watch out for, guys!

I've dodged bullets, got in high speed chases, nearly got blown up, got kicked in the balls. None of it compared to being forced to wait for you to come back to me."

4.5 Stars
Well color me surprised! You never know what you're going to get when offered a read-for-review book. Since I was recently lamenting the lack of good new Romantic Suspense authors, the offer from Mrs. Stelmack seemed serendipitous ;);)

From page one, this book is packed with action, intrigue, sexual tension, and edge of your seat moments. And yet somewhere amid the chaos is a wonderful love story, between two deserving people.

My Synopsis:
Delta Fox (come on, can a name be ANY more kick ass?!) comes from a sad and lonely background. Betrayed in the worst possible way by her parents, she spent her teenage years being trained in the art of stealth by her mentor and pseudo father figure, Mr. Hadrian. When her one and only friend is murdered and people start chasing Delta, she doesn't simply try to get away...she wants to get even. Delta doesn't have special people in her life, and the ones who took her friend need to be brought to justice. Problem is, Delta is a thief. Sure, she only steals things from those that were originally stolen, so she's not technically breaking the law. Nevertheless, there have been enough run ins with cops and bad guys that she has a warrant out for her arrest. So she must stay hidden.

Brian is a thrill seeking stuntman and owner of a special effects studio Cause & FX. He's no stranger to danger...in fact, he actively seeks it out. When he comes across a lone woman hitchhiker in the pouring rain on the highway late at night, he has no idea that he's about to be led on a merry chase with more thrills and danger than he'd bargained for. Not to mention, the cute little ninja like woman he picked up is sexy as hell and pushes all the right buttons.

Within a day of Delta and Brian's first meeting, there are car chases and shootings, smashed limbs and assassination attempts. Boy, does this author know how to write action! I have missed this genre, although I have to say that it focuses less on the sexual aspect and tension than my normal Navy SEAL stories or FBI macho men romances. And yet somehow, the love story between Delta and Brian is very genuine, somewhat slow building, (although the time line is still very small, so much happens that it feels longer).

My Thoughts:
Brian is exactly what Delta needs. He sees a sweet, pixie like woman beneath her tough girl exterior. He uncovers her vulnerabilities. Here's what he says when he learns of her past:
But you beat them, didn't you? They betrayed you in the worst way a person can be betrayed, but you didn't lie down and die. You found your own path in one of the toughest cities on Earth. You found friends and a mentor and became this ninja, wall climbing super-thief...You're a hero, Delta..."

Ummm...Swoon! Yes, yes, I swooned!!

Aside from the fabulous suspense and action that this book contained, I loved most watching how Delta is slowly won over by Brian. He's steadfast when that's what she needs most. She changes from a loner woman, stoic and simply living day to day to a woman who loves, desires, giggles, and truly LIVES her life, for the FIRST time in her life. It was beautiful! And it made me smile while giving me warm fuzzies! When they finally reach the point of playful and fun with each other was the highlight of the book for me! I love how Delta goes from frightened and mistrustful to letting loose a round of giggles.
"I'm not most women." And before he could correct the stupidity of that remark, she keeled over sideways onto the bed and was giggling like a madwoman, making the mattress jiggle. He whacked her one with a pillow..."

This was the ultimate man who knows EXACTLY how to handle the strong willed Delta. And boy, does Delta ever need someone to show her tenderness and devotion! My favorite Brian quote:
"Use my love. You need to wear it when you're cold. Turn it on when the room's too quiet. Read it when you're bored. Pop it back when you're sick. Call it when you're in trouble...Take it, Delta. Take mine, take it all."
She swallowed. "I've got nothing to give in return."
"Nothing at all?"
She knew what he wanted. He knew how to love somebody. She'd get it wrong, she didn't know how to love. "You don't want my love. It's small. And hard. And poky."

A remarkably full debut novel from this husband and wife writing team. I'm very much looking forward to the next installment featuring Brian's quirky, off the wall assistant Gina.

My HUGE thanks to the author for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was honestly thrilled!!!

This was my second book from the husband and wife duo, S. M. Stelmack. I still love Undertow more because it have the emotional punch and the characters were more complex. Fox Hunt was a fun, engaging and action-packed romantic suspense. We had a selfless and funny hero with a stoic heroine, who was on a quest to avenge her partner's death.

Brian, our hero was simply hilarious to read. He was an adrenaline junkie who owned a stunt company in Hollywood. He was such a soft-hearted sucker. I witnessed this from the countless time he gave in to a situation whereby he should walk away instead of staying. Brian was a 'Yes' man or maybe a much harsher word will be a 'doormat'. But I adored him. He was the kind of man who will save lost puppies and assist the elderly to cross the road. He was full of enthusiasm and an optimist. I wished I had someone so positive in my life.

After the night he picked up Delta from the storm, he was caught in her dramatic life of being hunted down by the Japanese mafia. From evading cars in a high speed chase to shoot out, Brian had never felt so alive. He was quite a psycho, IMO. This was a man had no self-preservation. He was adamant to help Delta out in her quest to avenge her partner's wrongful death, no matter how hard she refused it.

Delta was an ex-cat burglar, though she had her own code of honor. She helped people to reclaim their wealth, but never steal. Her last job that led her to becoming a fugitive was from helping a law enforcer to steal evidence. She had been hiding out and retire from the field until she found her partner, Akeno was killed from a job. Everything smell fishy and Delta was determined to right the wrong and clear her own name.

"Don't, Brian. Don't go all stupid and soft on me when you ought to be thinking straight."
His jaw hardened. "This better, Delta?"
"Yes."
"How about if I say, 'Get the hell out of here?'"
"Even better."

Having Brian in her life make things difficult. She knew he was a good man and she didn't want to endanger his life. But the man never seemed to take no for an answer. Their interaction was simply hilarious, with Brian caring so much about her well being, and Delta asking him to 'sod off'. Is quite a role reversal for me for read about a heroine who was more badass, stoic and in control of a situation.

"I've scheduled 'Get Naked' sessions throughout the trip, and the first one is not until we reach the bed & breakfast in Palm Springs."
"And how many of these sessions have you scheduled?"
"One every six to eight hours. Like taking a painkiller."

Is a pity that there wasn't much background story on Brian. There was mentioned that he had a big family and an ex-girlfriend. I wished they elaborate more on it or maybe let us meet his family. I guess this was a romantic suspense, and not a contemporary romance, so the author didn't have enough time to elaborate of menial things.

I love the slow development in Brian and Delta's relationship. From strangers, they become unlikely allies, and subsequently unlikely lovers. Brian thought everything will work out fine. He couldn't care less about all the obstacle they might face with Delta being a fugitive. Delta was more sensible, a person who thought things through. She can't see any possible with him unless she right all her wrong doings.

"You don't want my love. It's small. And hard. And poky."

Told in a multiple POV including the assassin and the villain, we got a clear idea of what was going on. So there wasn't much of a mystery going on. We simply wait for things to unfold. The assassin, Kannon Takahama was well developed and since I knew book 2 was his story, the author really did intrigued me to read it. Gina was Brian's staff and she was quite quirky character, though I felt a little reservation regarding her sexuality.

Well, everything work out fine on the end. This is a standalone with a HEA. I love the Bonus Love Letters from Brian at the end!!

"You know you got a job at Cause & FX anytime you want. Sexual harassment guaranteed."

I absolutely refuse to read this book, though I've been told that it's vivid, suspenseful and action-packed. Along with my husband, I wrote, edited and published it. It's too much to read it on top of that. Though by all means, go ahead and give it a try. BTW, this is the first and last time, I will connect this title with M. K. Stelmack. Now back to reading...

From the premise, I expected something cheesy where I'd have to ignore that little voice going "yeah, right" all the time. I was prepared to put up with that for the promise of a romance with two strong, take-charge characters. What I got was a ripping great action story with characters that I came to care about. Yeah, both Delta and Brian are a bit on the superhero side (I could probably stat them out complete with background in the superhero RPG of your choice), but they are also very realistically human and their interactions throughout are at turns endearing, frustrating, witty, and authentic. All in a plot that is fast-paced, harrowing, and with the exact right level of detail. I will definitely be looking for more from the author(s).

Picked up Fox Hunt and couldn't put it down! Bought this book on a whim not expecting much and found a real gem. The story is a high adrenaline, high stakes race as Delta Fox, a smart and savvy cat burglar, tries to clear her name for a murder she didn't commit.

But its not cops that Delta has to worry about. Kannon, a elite Japanese hitman is hot on her heels, but he's no stereotypical villain. Ruthless, relentless, but with a agenda of his own, he's got a bone dry personality that makes him one of my favorite bad guys ever.

Then there's the hero, Brian. He's not some swaggering alpha hero, but he's sure no wimp either. He's just kind and confident in a way that just made me swoon, and he's exactly what jaded Delta needs in every way. Not often to see chemistry like those two characters have, the romance works on so many levels.

Even the minor characters in this book are just fantastic, and I'd love to read novels about each and every one of them. Gina, Ursula, and Hadrian all are great fun, with razor sharp dialogue and memorable personalities. As great as the major characters are the minor ones add even more color.

Definitely a 5 out of 5 rating, and I've already booked some me time this weekend to read Gina Takes Bangkok, the next in the series. Defintely a book worth reading.

When you run from danger and end up being saved by the kindest and hottest man you've ever met, you know your luck is about to get better...

Delta Fox is a retired thief running from the Yakuza. Their boss has lost his son - to Delta's ex-partner, Akeno, if the rumors are true. After they ended his life, the Yakuza believe it's time she pays the price, too. So to escape the hands of her pursuers, especially a certain assassin, Kannon, Delta has made sure to never stay in one place for long, and trust no one. But there's also one more thing she's decided - she's going to find the one responsible for framing her and Akeno, and make them pay. But luck was never on her side. Until she gets picked up in the middle of nowhere by an ex-stuntman, Brian Chance. Brian is used to being a stepping mat for beautiful and needy women, but against his better judgement, he just can't let the petite blondette out of his sight. The danger she's running from may not be the most appropriate to face for his safety, but he's an adrenaline junkie, and he rather enjoys the rash - or so he tells himself. Still, when the Yakuza comes hitting his office's door and those close to him get sucked in this mess, he will have to stop being so gentle with the exquisite thief he finds himself falling for, and force her to accept his help - and his heart, if he'll have any say in it. Can a woman who has learnt to trust very few people and depend on even less find it in her heart to let go of her walls long enough for this sweet man to grab on tight? Or will the difference between their worlds be too much for her to let him get hurt?

Fox Hunt was a winner of a story, if I ever saw one. A heroine that is every bit a badass and a true damsel in denial of distress at the same time. A hero that for once is sitting back and letting the woman do the work - no matter how much he wished for the opposite -, providing support whether she admitted she needed it or not. Talk about a role reverse...

Delta was a heroine I rather enjoyed, despite the bitchy front she put on - the one that usually has me spitting fire towards a heroine's direction. She had her issues, but can you blame her with the kind of past she had? And for all her harsh words and rude manners, the woman truly wished to keep Brian safe, and did the one thing she thought would work: tried to drive him away. See what I mean? She was thinking like a man in this relationship, which was perfect, given how much of a womanlike-thinker (is that even a word?) Brian was.

Ah, yes, Brian. I was serious, you know, about him thinking and acting like a woman. He was patient, pleasant 90% of the time, and kind to the point where his employees and Delta came to question if he perhaps has a few screws loose. But that doesn't mean he was not a nice hot male. On the contrary, the happy-go-lucky, grown up kid did an 180 when it came to the bedroom parts of his relationship with Delta. Ordering, taking complete control, it was a true wonder to sit back and watch him change faces and take what he wanted between the sheets, and then get ordered around by Delta when they were talking business. A real knight in shining armor. I'm not a fan of his type, but I can't say I was disappointed in how it all played out - I guess this is because of the balance kept thanks to Delta's personality.

The story was fast-paced, most of the time, and rightly so. With the Yakuza after them and the clock ticking away, they couldn't afford to sit back and relax - at least, that much Brian understood. It had a brilliant plot, too - up to the very last minute, I was guessing who was on their side honestly, and who was the true mastermind behind Matsuda's son being killed. And with a cast of other characters - some of whom we'll get the pleasure of seeing again in Gina's story - I just can't wait to pick up the second book! Gina is my favourite character, and hell if I don't find Kannon as delicious as a chocolate ice cream during a hot summer noon!

S. M. Stelmack, I have nothing but the tip of my hat and a wish to see more of that amazing teamwork of yours in the future!

ARC For Honest Review

Delta Fox, what a name, sounds like a code name but nope, that is the chicks name. I really liked this romantic suspense story. The beginning you are placed in the middle of a situation that has already happened, pretty much starting in the aftermath of a crime. Delta has been accused by a mafia family of killing someone, of course which she didn't. Her partner who was a part of the crime, has put her in danger just by being associated with him. In her attempt to flee and hide, she gets picked up on the side of the road by Brian. Wholesome, good guy, and always taken advantage of by women, takes pity on her and decides to help her. Of course Delta's secretive background and her kick ass persona makes her much more tempting. Both characters have smarts and skills to thwart those after them. With this story filled with more action than romance, it keeps the story rolling and filled with anticipation. I liked that it has a story with substance and not all sex, but drama too. Mystery, action, adventure, romance, I mean what else do you need for a great story. I look forward to more adventures from this series. Enjoy!

A wild, adrenaline-filled ride!

I thoroughly enjoyed this action-packed, sexy read from the husband and wife writing team, S. M. Stelmack. And I’ve already picked up their other books – how’s that for an endorsement! The hero and heroine are likeably edgy and the plot surprises you with its twists and turns. 5 stars!

FOX HUNT is the first storyline in The Femme Vendetta romantic/suspense contemporary series by the writing team of Serge and Moira Stelmack.

The storyline focuses on Brian Chanse and Delta Fox. Like the blurb says, one rainy night Brian picks up a lone stranger and his life will never be the same. Delta is on the run; as a proficient cat-burglar who steals back from those who have stolen from others, Delta learns she has been framed for the murder of a young teen. There are hit men after her and everyone she knows is either dead or lying to protect themselves. And to complicate matters, the law has caught up with her endeavors and she is facing prison time.

The relationship between Brian and Delta is interesting. Delta is ill when Brian first discovers her on the roadside to nowhere and he must nurse his ailing passenger but he soon finds himself falling for the beautiful thief. He is quick to accept her quirks and life-style, as he too, is a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Hoping to be of some assistance, Brian agrees to help Delta prove her innocence but along the way he will lose his heart and almost his life to the woman with whom he is falling in love.

Fox Hunt is a well-written storyline. I enjoyed the relationship between Delta and Brian very much. I also like the fact that although Delta is a strong, independent heroine, she wasn’t above asking for help and she had the ability to feel. Her emotions were not closed off or hidden behind what I call ‘the b*tch with attitude’.

The character building is fluid. There are no missteps with the background information to many of the secondary characters. But they are plenty of secondary characters involved in the action and chase scenes as well as throughout the building of the storyline.

We are introduced to several secondary characters including Brian’s assistant Gina and his manager Ursula aka The Nun. There are many humorous moments involving Gina and Ursula, especially when one is the polar opposite of the other and they butt heads at every opportunity including how to take care of their boss. The reader will be happy to know that Gina will have her story told in the next installment-Gina Takes Bangkok.

S.M. Stelmack (Serge and Moira) have written a fascinating storyline of action, suspense and romance where the reader becomes part of the action. The connection between Delta and Brian evolves throughout the storyline. Brian falls hard for the feisty female, but Delta holds back knowing that she will be placing Brian’s life in danger as the hunt for a killer, unfolds. In the end, Delta must accept the consequences of her actions and Brian will be waiting with open arms and an open mind.

"Fox Hunt", the first of the Femme Vendettas is a fast-paced romantic crime thriller loaded with suspense and mystery. It begins when Brian Chanse, a stunt driver and owner of Cause & FX picks up a hitchhiker in a freak rainstorm in New Mexico. What he doesn't suspect is that the drenched woman suffering mild hypothermia is a former thief who's running from the Yakuza, a criminal organization whose boss wants revenge for the murder his son. Brian,a man with a big-heart agrees to help Delta Fox prove her innocence, but never expects that their partnership will lead him into the dregs of the L.A. underground where they will unravel clues to a seduction that brings betrayal and murder to its hapless victims.

In this engaging, imaginative plot romance sizzles between two lost people in a world stained by secrets, mystery, death and violence. The narrative is fast-paced with its high-speed car chases and flying bullets, and progresses smoothly as events unfold. As sparks fly and the romance blossoms, the language is sexually explicit, but loaded with a good dose of dry humor and witty remarks. Although the theme of the novel focuses on the discovery of love and trust during the dark moments in Brian and Delta's life, the murder mystery and manhunt by an assassin lend energy and drama to the romantic plot.

Moira Stelmack breathes life into her characters giving each a multi-dimensional and realistic personality. Brian Chanse the adrenaline junkie who's kind, generous and charming can be a pushover and very stubborn while Delta Fox a skilled cat-burglar, haunted by the demons of her abusive past is serious, untrusting and fears love. Mr. Hadrian, Delta's friend and confident is a shrewd cynic burdened by a bitter heartbreak in his past. Brian's office staff is a study in contrasts. Gina's the highly energized receptionist who's offbeat, chipper and fearless while Ursula the operations manager is bossy, efficient, tough-minded and stern. Because the story is plot driven, certain aspects of the characters are never fully realized;like the tragic circumstances that mould the personalities of Akeno, Delta and Susan Chang.

But, even the antagonists in the story are memorable; like Kannon Takahama, a half blood , an instinctive killer who's intimidating, dangerous and tough; Hero Matsuda the ruthless and savage Japanese mafia boss; Susan Chang, a user who feels empty, broken and unworthy, and Jeanelle (Saramond) Matsuda, the money-hungry, arrogant, and demanding wife. All these characters bring power and intensity to this riveting story.

I liked "Fox Hunt" and recommend it to those who like a romance story with a defining twist. And I am looking forward to reading "Gina Takes Bangkok".

My Goodness How I Love Thy Books!
I don't know how this team does it but their books have that perfect "ring" for me: the girl is a girl and the guy is a guy, the action is non-stop, the emotion is heartfelt and the story is oh-so-good!

That's kind of simplistic of me but I could not find another way to say it! The hero actually talks and acts like a man! (I hate it when the hero talks and acts like a girl, which happens too often in romances) and the girl is the girl you kinda wish you were: some badassery included but not the in-your-face kind, but the intelligent thinking kind (hate those"plucky", "spitfire", or "sassy" heroines that are supposed to be strong but just come through as immature). The ideal resultant of a M/F couple author team? (Don't care, just get me more! LOL)

This is not a story about a self-made billionaire with a kinky closet and an impoverished good girl virgin. And thank goodness for that! The H+h are likeable, intelligent and funny people, who are somewhat difficult and kind and open and complex and mysterious. They have done bad things and good things and are now in an impossible situation and are trying to live through it. It hooked me from the first chapter and I could not put it down. The action is good and believable (the hero's a stunt man, the heroine is a thief) too!

This book is that great chick flick you forced your boyfriend to come and see and he ended up enjoying it as much as you did. Or that guy flick you thought you wouldn't like but had to see again! I wish more authors were like this.

Highly recommended!
(check out Undertow the UnderCity Chronicles, from same author team, it has one of the most compelling heroes I have read about in a long time, got me hooked to this author team!)

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and am providing an honest review.

This is the type of book you can get through in one sitting (though I couldn't because I had visitors in town and had to sneak and read whenever they were distracted).

I really liked all of the characters. Delta was a really strong lead. She was very independent and afraid to rely on others, but we were able to see her learn how to trust. Brian was an adrenaline junkie, which worked really well considering Delta's situation. He really wanted to take care of Delta and it was really sweet watching him try to convince her to let him.

Gina, Ursula, and even Kannon were great supporting characters. They each added unique elements that enhanced the story. Gina was quirky and funny, Ursula was level-headed and no-nonsense, and Kannon was determined to prove himself by being a tough guy, but he also had a vendetta to settle.

The only issue I had was with the way it seemed like the authors glossed over a traumatic event in Delta's past. It was something that had been an issue for her for years, but she somehow quickly got over it with Brian. It felt like the type of thing that would take some time and effort to get past.

That being said, 'Fox Hunt' flowed really well and kept my interest the whole time! I would definitely recommend this book and will likely continue with the series!

I'm torn between and "it was ok" and "I liked it" so I decided to be nice and gave it 3 stars. One of my mayor issues was I could not get over the lead female character's name "Delta Fox". I don't want to be mean, but what a stupid name. It just sounded like it was picked from the reject pile from James Bond's lame female character's name. There was also something that reminded of Lisbeth and Blomkivit's relationship from Girl With A Dragon Tattoo that kept bugging me. It's the same dynamic: young girl from with a lot of baggage from her childhood teams up with the unlikely older male that almost instantly wants to help her despite how much she doesn't want him to. Unlike Lisbeth, Delta Fox (that name again!) does a 180 when it comes to trusting her man a little too quickly in order for it to seem real for me.

On to the man. Hot. I approve! Steamy love scenes. Definitely my favorite part of the book. The action scenes seemed well thought and the plot's resolution made sense.

All in all, it was a quick fun read but I'll probably have forgotten most of it by next week.

Received book from author for honest review.

Fox Hunt begins when Brian is on his way back home but he finds a woman walking in the rain in the middle of the night. So being the nice guy that he is, he stops to help her. He never expected she would be someone who was on the run from people trying to kill her, and now he's being dragged into the middle of it. And now he's determined to help her because this whole thing is making someone awaken inside of him, even though this woman wanted by the cops, and bad guys he is still anxious to help. But the woman is making that difficult by saying she doesn't need his help, even if she does.

This book was good. I really enjoyed reading it. All of the characters were fun, and enticing. Then there was the whole suspense/danger thing going on that added a whole lot of awesome to the story! Not to mention the major chemistry between the heroine and hero was very good! So over all this was a good start to the series. It has many good characters, and lots of interesting things going on. I also thought the story was pretty unique being that the heroine was a professional thief! So that made it so much more enjoyable!

For me, this book was just ok. All of the elements were there, suspense, mystery, murder, attraction but something was just off about it. It's really hard to put my finger on exactly what didn't connect. I know that there were side questions, like, why was he traveling through New Mexico for instance that kind of sat at the back of my mind. And why would someone with a past like hers trust anyone at all. Falling for him didn't explain that completely. Then the little side trips in the story, like his FX company and the meeting with the executives that just didn't feel like they meshed with the story. Overall it's a good story, I just think it wasn't as smooth and clean as it could have been.

What a wonderful, strong female lead Delta Fox was!
I felt that she almost "overpowered" Brian, her love interest, with her presence; I normally prefer alpha heroes but I made an exception for Delta ;) who doesn't like a savvy, badass female character?
This book had the perfect balance between action and romance - although it's not solely a romance book, more like a romantic suspense with lots of action. Lots of it.
Did I mention that S M Stelmack writes fabulous action scenes?
Reading this, it was almost like watching a movie: the fast paced, sometimes sharp and sometimes swoon worthy dialogues kept me glued to the pages.

Absolutely recommendable!

A novel where the heroine is a professional thief. An interesting premise that S.M. Stelmack has made believable. The story is well plotted, the level of suspense and danger balances the romance, and neither seems the focus at inopportune moments. The author introduces a lot of unique characters and makes each interesting enough to read more about it, so a series looks promising. The pacing was fairly even, the settings detailed, the romance passionate, the characters quirky and engaging, and the ending wasn't telegraphed. All in all an enjoyable read. I will look for more in the series.

I absolutely loved this book. After I requested it, I couldn't remember why I requested it, so I put off reading it. SO glad that I finally read it! Brian, a stuntman picked up a hitch hiker that changed his life. Delta, the hitch hiker, was running for her life and trying to prove her innocence. These two worked together and in the end succeeded in proving Delta had nothing to do with a murder. The ending wasn't really what I anticipated but it absolutely worked with the characters and the story. I will definitely be reading other books in this series!

ARC given by netgalley for an honest review.
This is my first book by the author, and as it is not available yet in my region, I'm honor to received the ARC. My impression, it is good book.
The plot, action thriller with mob-assassin chase scene, really move your seat. Not to mention the chemistry btw the main couple. The fast pace story really attract my attention, but this story did grab the reader. Hope to read more from the author for the next book in the series. 4.5 stars review from me...

lmao, "Delta Fox." That out-of-nowhere mention of the Yakuza piqued my interest though.
