Hero Talos Xenakis (who is 38) believes his ex-mistress (heroine Eve Craig, 25) betrayed him eleven weeks ago when she gave a business rival of Talos's damaging financial information which almost made Talos lose his company. She vanished from Athens and resurfaced in London for her stepfather's funeral. Then she had a car accident. Now Eve has amnesia, and she's pregnant with Talos's baby...
I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining story. I liked Eve, who seemed to have gone through a personality change with her amnesia. And Talos was really falling for her against his will. He didn't want to because he knew she would revert into the cold person she was originally, when she got her memory back. But she seemed so sweet and innocent now. There were a lot of surprises revealed as the story progressed. Talos was angry and vengeful at first, but he eventually became a swoon-worthy hero.
I liked his friends Roark and Lia and how kind they were to create such a beautiful, fairytale wedding at their Tuscan castle for Talos and Eve on such short notice. I loved the settings in this book... Venice, Greece, Tuscany.
A highly enjoyable romance by Jennie Lucas.
I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining story. I liked Eve, who seemed to have gone through a personality change with her amnesia. And Talos was really falling for her against his will. He didn't want to because he knew she would revert into the cold person she was originally, when she got her memory back. But she seemed so sweet and innocent now. There were a lot of surprises revealed as the story progressed. Talos was angry and vengeful at first, but he eventually became a swoon-worthy hero.

Re-read. April 2020. Still five stars. Good thing I remember nothing these days and was surprised all over again. :)
Wow - I love revenge stories and this is like a double helix of revenge. You rarely get such plot twists in an HP, but this one has it. It's chock full of tropes, but it felt original. There's plenty of emotion, but it's memorable for its plot. Quite a ride.

This is my favourite book by Jennie.
The end scene alone was enough to make this book a classic. It's a tale of revenge gone wrong and right at the same time.
Eve was strong determined and on a mission when she fall pregnant and losses her memory.
Talos wants revenge for the secrets she has told his enemy. He finds out she is pregnant and runs to get her at his mercy and under his control. So of course he forces her to marry him.
I just love the whole thing.
Also, the fact that they want to have 6 kids made it for me. Having 6 myself I understand the desire for a large family.
Guess that influenced my loving this book.
Best book and I have read this book at 5 times now.
What can I say I am a total sucker for the epic grovel and the extremely hot guy!

Someone told me this author is a safe read! I'm suddenly questioning the safety element here. I don't think she understood by safety I didn't mean virgin heroine or HEA, rather I meant a faithful honourable hero which Janie Lucas once again failed to deliver. I certainly don't give two shits about heroine's virginity, but I think I'm going to start demanding the hero's celibacy if not virginity from now on.
Also, he may be a jerk, but she also doesn't deserve him. As I said a thousand times before, it is very easy to be generous when you have the proof of the other person's innocence. That's not love. That's calculated risk.

WTF??? I picked this up at the library and sucked it down in a couple of hours. Really liked it. Imagine my surprise to find that I had DNF'd this one a while ago. Here is my original review:

So... what's different? I must have been in the mood for it I guess. Big shrug here.
So my review this time around is:
I liked the amnesia bit here. I am a sucker for amnesia stories in general and this one was well done. I loved how she was so changed from her previous personality and how he couldn't help falling in love with her even though he was out for revenge. The story was told mainly from the hero's POV which I prefer. I really loved the hero. He really had a reason for his desire for revenge unlike most hokey revenge themed books. But he could not continue to be mean to her. Awww...
And there was a surprising twist that made the revenge element way more interesting.

I'll just add that I like the magic p as cure for amnesia, but not like I loved the magic v in A baby to bind his bride. Obviously the magic v rules because it revoked the amnesia in one dose. Take that magic p.
AND... I'm aware of the certain line most possible meaning but I'm choosing to interpret the "He'd been lost in a woman in a way he'd never experienced before or since." as in he's never invested that much time in other women, letting himself be distracted from his normal priorities and not exactly meaning sexually. But that's just me...

I abandoned this but then it's probably coz I wasn't in the mood for it. So, I am re-reading it now cause all my friends loved it and because it was written by the flawless Jennie Lucas!
After re-reading this I can say this is the best Jennie Lucas book ever! The angst was delicious, both hero and heroine were three-dimensional characters with depth and complex emotions. The final chapters broke my heart. I couldn't believe Eve regained her memory and left Talos while carrying his child. And when she regretted leaving him and almost gave birth alone I was literally crying! I was so glad she finally overcame her bitterness and anger! The epilogue was super cute adorable and cheesy. I mean six kids? I adore Jennie Lucas, she is the best Harlequin Presents author out there. She makes all other Harlequin Presents authors seem so lame....

Ah, this was a awesome read! Thrilling, sexy touched with some mystery and humor and lots of romance. Jennie Lucas must have had a great deal of fun writing this awesome romance! I mean we have revenge and amnesia mixed together with lots of hot love-making in exotic places. We have angry greek hero Talos Xenakis who desperately wants to enact all his rage of revenge on his cold-blooded and bitter heroine Eve Craig who had betrayed him. But in this case we get a second-chance of love when a car crash causes Eve amnesia-and she is pregnant with his child.
I love Eve`s transformation into a happy, carefree,innocent and goodhearted heroine after she gets amnesia. Talos had NO chance of resisting her this time and i love how his plot of revenge slowly dies down after he realizes that he is unable to truly let go or hurt her. In some ways Talos reminded me of Lynne Graham`s iconic hero César Valverde from The Spanish Groom with how utterly explosive, passionate and totally smitten he was. Talos & Eve love-story are everything i craved it to be, its truly a passionate romance and i love how both fall head over heels for each other. We also get some came appearances by another couple from The Innocent's Dark Seduction which i thought was lovely.

This is full on soap opera, and Talos is very unlikeable for most of the book. You feel sorry for Eve, but then you hear about Eve didn't used to be very nice, so you don't know what to think. But it's complicated. Very complicated. I like that the roles flip flop, and I think this is an excellent example of the amnesia theme well done. Also it has the theme of the character who was not liked at all in their previous incarnation, but now they are different after their accident/amnesia.
The Old Eve seems like the vixen from the night time soap operas that you love to hate, but at the same time, you can't help liking her and wishing she'd be a nicer person. But even that is just one layer. I have to say that there are some many different twists in this story, it kept me guessing until the end.
It's one of those books where you realize just how complicated revenge is. Like the old proverb about 'digging two graves.' It's very true. In the midst, Eve and Talos actually manage to fall in love with each other, and they have a hard road ahead of them. With some almost cinematic moments for the reader.
It's dicey when the heroine isn't necessarily likeable in a romance, so I like that we don't really see that part of Eve through the book, although we get hints into the old Eve and Eve's disconnect about who she used to be. I like that Talos really isn't a nice guy, so you don't have to feel sorry for him. I'm confident that this book would not have worked as well if he was a nice guy. You see that he grows as he spends more time with Eve, the real Eve, not the Mega-Vixen Eve he used to know, and he's confronted with the mystery of who she really is.
The ending was the clincher. It was so well done, but an incredible emotional pay off. It makes you feel confident that Eve and Talos will have a good life together. I think this is one of my favorites by Jenny Lucas. It has the high drama quotient, but it's also has a complexity that takes things to the next level. I recommend reading this.

Here in the States we like everything supersized, from our food portions, to our household appliances, to our vehicles. It’s go big or go home. Jennie Lucas, who is American, has apparently taken this motto to heart by creating a supersized revenge plot and, oh, how I liked it! If that wasn’t enough, she also added the tropes of pregnancy and amnesia to make this the "Revpregnesia" storyline of my dreams. To say more about the plot would ruin the fun, so I'm keeping quiet.
I will, however, add some of my conclusions relating to the themes:
1. Hero's penis is as magical as they come by.*
2. Revenge always has a price.
3. There's always two sides to the story.
Things which reduced my enjoyment:
1. Talos's celibacy seemed unclear, which made me question his smittenness.
2. The angst and passion levels were good, but considering the storyline I think there could have been more.
3. The sex scenes felt a bit clinical and too brief. More scenes of Talos in all his sexy glory is a good thing, so no skimping, Jennie Lucas! LOL
I can see why this author has a solid following. If more of her books are like this, then count me in as a new fan.

This is the umpteenth Re-read. I have really loved this book and have read it over and over and over and I liked how the hero fell in love with her against himself. I loved the heroine and I am glad I didn't have to read about how she was before. How angry must she have been to prepare herself, for 11 years, in the image of all the other women he had dated before. She had to suppress her real self to become the person he wanted. The thing that made me the saddest is her poor step-father waiting for her every Christmas and she never went. I felt so sorry for him and I pretty much despised her for letting revenge keep her from being a decent human being. She pretty much immersed herself in the role and I am so glad I didn't see that side of her. When she finally remembered, that old persona showed herself and I just kept thinking that she would remember how he forgave her what he thought was her betrayal and that she would do the same but she didn't. I was glad he came for her at the end and the epilogue was very cute. It was quite the ride for sure. I am ready for something light.

Awwww I loved loved loved this book!!
Surprising as it started out as a regular h with amnesia trope added to a grind-my-teeth-n-act-loving hero with an I-will-teach-this-bitch-a-lesson agenda. She’s pregnant and the H has reasons for revenge but he thinks he must marry her to get his child and teach her a lesson in a better way. Well it goes on in an eyeroller-been–there-read-it-umpteen-times way till past midway, and then the story has a completely stunning revelation and turn.
This story takes you where very few stories do, satisfying your every romantic yearning and desire. Two people so in love, hurting, hating, vengeful, tied to an imperfect past but helplessly reaching out for each other. Highly recommended for formula-HP lovers.

This book has been on my radar for some time now. At last I read it and it was worth the wait.
For me, it was the storyline that stole the thunder. It was so unpredictable. I loved both MC’s. And epilogue was just cherry on top.
Oh and completely safe.

Talos has finally run virgin villainess Eve to ground in London, and is looking forward to exacting his long-overdue revenge. Oh, that Eve, she was the epitome of evil. She and her rich friends ravaged hotel rooms and led lives that defined the worst in excess and pleasure-seeking. Eve was hard as diamond. She had the beauty of a goddess and she flaunted her beauty in the tiniest of tiny clothes. Any man who saw her was compelled to gaze upon her in helpless awe. How was such a creature a virgin? Such a mystery to Talos. And how could such a creature fool him so completely, and steal his Important Document, and then betray him to his greatest business rival? And then elude his crack team of investigators for three months? So many mysteries.
And none to be resolved in the short-term, for Eve, Talos learns, has amnesia. And Eve is pregnant. With his baby!
Talos will have his revenge. Sure, in the end that Important Document didn’t do as much damage as Eve had planned, but she had intentions, and she must be punished! And she was maybe in love with his business rival, and in non-coitus cahoots with him, and must be punished! He will pretend to be Eve’s beloved, and he will capture her and keep her close. Then, when her memory returns, she will know that she is in Talos’s trap and Talos will have answers!
Amnesia is just so great. I cannot believe that for the longest time I refused to read amnesia romances. I had this whole wrong-headed thing going, where I’d read this critique of them somewhere and was persuaded that they were bad because amnesia doesn’t work that way, and it’s all a big cliché. I refuse to let some kind of real-world grounded accuracy get in the way of entertainment. Never again. Especially not after reading the greatest amnesia romance story of all time: Maya Banks’ ‘The Tycoon’s Pregnant Mistress.’
‘Bought’ has a few things in common with ‘Tycoon,’ but never quite reaches the same level of crazy. However, it has some really wonderful moments.
Eve doesn’t remember Talos, but he’s hot and makes her insides go gooey. He also isn’t glaring at her and gnashing his teeth while he tries to conceal how much he despises her, so she’s not getting any weird mixed messages. She’s so sweet and earnestly sorry she can’t remember him, because it must be causing him great emotional pain. Of course she’ll go along with him to Venice, and then Athens. Sure, he can kiss her. He’s a great kisser. Eve doesn’t need much persuasion to agree to marriage. For the baby, and for love.
She’s noticeably different in personality. Amnesia-Eve is a far sweeter, happier woman than pre-amnesia-Eve. And amnesia-Eve feels very self-conscious in tiny clothes, and goes out shopping for clothes with more coverage. She’s also no longer into the excesses of wealth, and Talos really can’t work out what’s going on. She’s something else. But he likes it, and he wants to sleep with it. He wants to sleep with it repeatedly.
Talos is all alpha and controlling. He comes up with a plan to isolate Eve from anything that might remove her amnesia, to the point of removing all the sex he really desperately wants to be having with her, when she tells him that she’s having post-coitus flashbacks. What I’ve really come to appreciate about JL’s heroes is that she makes them as alpha and controlling as the worst of the modern-day heroes, but she makes it clear that their efforts are doomed. Amnesia-Eve is in love with Talos, and he’s desperate to keep her and their baby, but it’s so clear that he’s going to fail. He wants her so much. Amnesia-Eve is his perfect woman, and it’s only a matter of time before he loses her.
What isn’t clear, is what was going on with pre-amnesia Eve. I had my theory, and it was great, but completely wrong. JL managed to surprise me, and she had something even better. I won’t go into spoilers, but it worked. It worked because it’s not so much a shocking twist as a revelation supported by a good series of clues. Without giving too much away, I came out of this book with a full and deep appreciation for pre-amnesia Eve. And for JL, for the way she’d put the plot together. I had a great time imagining pre-amnesia Eve’s relationship with Talos from her perspective, and it wouldn’t have worked as well if there’d been more of Eve’s perspective. She could never have been quite as ninja as I imagined her to be.
The romance was so dramatic and doomed. Talos was a wonderful reluctant hero who found love when he least expected it, and then had to face his own powerlessness in preventing the end he’d set in motion. And I thoroughly appreciated the whole hidden story of pre-amnesia Eve, and how much as a reader I was left to infer, and to find the parallels between the hero and heroine’s stories. My favourite JL to date.

I had this whole wrong-headed thing going, where I’d read this critique of them somewhere and was persuaded that they were bad because amnesia doesn’t work that way, and it’s all a big cliché. I refuse to let some kind of real-world grounded accuracy get in the way of entertainment. Never again. Especially not after reading the greatest amnesia romance story of all time: Maya Banks’ ‘The Tycoon’s Pregnant Mistress.’
‘Bought’ has a few things in common with ‘Tycoon,’ but never quite reaches the same level of crazy. However, it has some really wonderful moments.
Eve doesn’t remember Talos, but he’s hot and makes her insides go gooey. He also isn’t glaring at her and gnashing his teeth while he tries to conceal how much he despises her, so she’s not getting any weird mixed messages. She’s so sweet and earnestly sorry she can’t remember him, because it must be causing him great emotional pain. Of course she’ll go along with him to Venice, and then Athens. Sure, he can kiss her. He’s a great kisser. Eve doesn’t need much persuasion to agree to marriage. For the baby, and for love.
She’s noticeably different in personality. Amnesia-Eve is a far sweeter, happier woman than pre-amnesia-Eve. And amnesia-Eve feels very self-conscious in tiny clothes, and goes out shopping for clothes with more coverage. She’s also no longer into the excesses of wealth, and Talos really can’t work out what’s going on. She’s something else. But he likes it, and he wants to sleep with it. He wants to sleep with it repeatedly.
Talos is all alpha and controlling. He comes up with a plan to isolate Eve from anything that might remove her amnesia, to the point of removing all the sex he really desperately wants to be having with her, when she tells him that she’s having post-coitus flashbacks. What I’ve really come to appreciate about JL’s heroes is that she makes them as alpha and controlling as the worst of the modern-day heroes, but she makes it clear that their efforts are doomed. Amnesia-Eve is in love with Talos, and he’s desperate to keep her and their baby, but it’s so clear that he’s going to fail. He wants her so much. Amnesia-Eve is his perfect woman, and it’s only a matter of time before he loses her.
What isn’t clear, is what was going on with pre-amnesia Eve. I had my theory, and it was great, but completely wrong. JL managed to surprise me, and she had something even better. I won’t go into spoilers, but it worked. It worked because it’s not so much a shocking twist as a revelation supported by a good series of clues. Without giving too much away, I came out of this book with a full and deep appreciation for pre-amnesia Eve. And for JL, for the way she’d put the plot together. I had a great time imagining pre-amnesia Eve’s relationship with Talos from her perspective, and it wouldn’t have worked as well if there’d been more of Eve’s perspective. She could never have been quite as ninja as I imagined her to be.
The romance was so dramatic and doomed. Talos was a wonderful reluctant hero who found love when he least expected it, and then had to face his own powerlessness in preventing the end he’d set in motion. And I thoroughly appreciated the whole hidden story of pre-amnesia Eve, and how much as a reader I was left to infer, and to find the parallels between the hero and heroine’s stories. My favourite JL to date.

This is one of those books where you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. In fact, you just can’t read it fast enough. However, you are enjoying the ride so you stay the course not wanting to spoil it.

He puts his heart on ice and begins his delicious course of revenge. He marries her intent on taking away anything of value to her…including their child. Along the way he wants to jog her memory. However, she doesn’t appear to be the same woman he knew before. She is softer, she is innocent(still sexy as all get out). Gone are the stilettos and the barely there party dresses. Snippets of her memory start to come back, every time he embraces her.
Now, the hero isn’t so sure he wants them to surface, as he is more entangled in her life like never before.

JL does a nice job weaving a story of two people who belong together but may be forced apart.
She also gives us a nice epilogue(I do so love my epilogues) I have only read a couple of Jennie Lucas’s books, and both have been 4 star reads for me. I look forward to reading more. There is mention of another couple in the book, Lia and Roark, I guess they have a story as well The Innocent's Dark Seduction I will be checking this out.

Hmm, shades of Body Heat and mucho film noir shadiness.
Talos, the H, finds out that his mistress, Eve, she who bit of the apple and betrayed all men, (subtle reference) is suffering from amnesia much to his glee. He is ready to exact his revenge for what he sees as the h's betrayal of her selling his business secrets. Much to Talos' dismay she really does have amnesia so he has to play the long con.
Talos struggles with his desire for Eve against his need for revenge. No spoilers here, but what transpires in the long run throws the H for a loop. Long term secrets from his past and her past vie with what the H discovers of the heroine's natural personality. One unpleasant scene for me is when Eve remembers enough to know that something is not right so she apologizes for .... everything she's done even though she doesn't remember it. All because she loves the H. Hmmmm.
Big surprises are waiting for everyone that explain the why's and wherefore of her betrayal.
Yep, this little Harlequin has some twists and turns worthy of a Hitchcock movie.
Uh oh. New memory pops up where she realizes she betrayed him because she hated him. Confusion reigns, and Talos' previous silence due to revenge and hate has now morphed into silence due to love and stupidity. HELLO! Haven't you people learned that communication is key! What does Talos do? Confess all? Nope. Too easy. Too practical. he continues to lie as an amnesia victim who starts to remember one traumatic memory will NEVER remember another memory or another...
That is his first error. His second error is when he realizes that awesome passion triggers memory. Ruh-roh! Passion-less honeymoon, confused bride and VERRRRYYYYY frustrated groom ensue. Not to mention the unfair fact that the h believes he is ignoring for something else she did that must have been terrible.
Her memory comes back FINALLY and more accusations fly etc...
Somehow, someway they end with a HEA. Implausible and doubtful as it may be.

I liked the book very much, it’s an emotional story of revenge: the h betrayed the H stealing some documents and giving them to his rival that almost destroyed his company. Now she had an accident and lost her memory. The hero, that for three months has been looking for her, finds her and plans his revenge, but finds also that she’s pregnant with his child. But the woman she’s now is very different from the woman he knew, and he begins to fall in love with her. Things are different and in the end we have a surprise.. nothing is as it seems! I liked both characters: he tries to hate her but can’t, she’s sweet and lovely but so different from the party girl he knew.. I was not sure if I had to read it because I read in some reviews that it was not a safe reading because he wasn’t celibate during their separation because of a sentence a little misty...The sentence was that he was addicted to her and that he had been lost in her in a way he had never experienced before or since. I am not English so I’m not sure but I think the meaning might be that he was really captured by her, that she had all his attention and no other woman interested him in that way before or after her. I don’t think it has necessarily a sexual meaning. In fact no other women are ever mentioned, and since the H is obsessed by the h and has been looking for her for months the most logical solution is that he was celibate. A good book that I completely enjoyed.

This was far and away my favorite Jennie Lucas book. This one was so good. This story definitely had a twist to it.
I loved Eve and Talos. This was a pretty emotional read and you actually are rooting for the hero in this book (at least near the end). Each one had reasons for their "revenge" and when Talos finally realizes why Eve betrayed him, it was a bit heart-breaking. I understood why he wanted to keep Eve from recalling her memories. He did love her at that time (even if he didn't realize it then) and just wanted them to be together. He does make a sacrifice that brought tears to my eyes.
There is a nice epilogue at the end of this one as well. Roarke Navarre and his wife, Lia from The Innocent's Dark Seduction make an appearance in this book.
This book is just another reason why Jennie Lucas is becoming one of my favorite HP authors.

This was a fun, different take on the revenge and blackmail themes. It's like JL threw together 2 people who'd obviously been born and bred in HPLandia and had been victims of vengeance and betrayal since birth and had continued the abusive HP cycle of vengeance into the next generation. It's like a public service announcement for those living in Hqns on breaking the sad cycle of revenge. Bonus: with amnesia!!
It was certainly emotionally overwrought and tropey, but enjoyable. I won't spoil all the particulars, it's more fun to just go with it and let it unfold.

I'm sick to death of the "you're carrying my child, you must marry me!" romance trope, but adding in amnesia and revenge definitely makes it more fun. I also enjoyed the fact that, after starting with echoes of several other books, this one took a different and (to me) unexpected turn.

Great twist! Loved the Hero POV, this is a really refreshing take on old revenge/amnesia tropes. Nice to see a Hero who thinks he knows it all actually come to grips with the upending of the facts as he knows them as well as his notions of justice. Finally, a 25 year old virgin who had a specific, consuming reason to maintain her virginity. Lost a star when hero reflects on the women before and "since" heroine. Given that they have been apart for 3 months, and he was supposedly devastated by heroine, consumed with work and finding her, the notion of him pursing other women in that time frame is very jarring and undermined the specialness of his feelings. It's gratuitous and made it harder to dive into the story.

Talos has finally been able to track down his ex-mistress, who disappeared after betraying him..only to discover that she has amnesia, and that she is having his child. As she has no one left in her life, he soon plans to marry, take his child, and abandon her before she regains her memory in order to extract revenge..
But the new Eve is a different person altogether, and soon Talos finds himself falling for her..

I have reread this several times and wasn't too impressed the first couple of times. As I re-read it today I felt differently. I enjoyed it and recommend it!

★★★★☆ I’m not much for “revenge” plots, and not into too much angst. However, I love a good amnesia theme. This one held my attention through-out – maybe because I was in the mood for a little angst. That, and the Hero being an ass-hat more than once, but realizing the error of his ways quite a while before the end. Plus this one has a nice little twist. Ate it up in one day.

It starts with revenge and hatred all directed at Talos' ex-lover, Eve, because she betrayed him.
The frustration, anger and lust Talos feels for Eve Craig literally leaps off through the pages penned by Jennie Lucas.

This is an revenge story with second chance at love.Absolutely enjoyed each second of the book.Talos-Eve both are strong personalities and are bend on revenge on each other,Eve is plotting her revenge for 11 years and Talos for 3 months but cause of the Eve's accident which leads to amnesia and which brings out the real Eve who is warm caring loving selfless person,to the world she has presented that she is cold selfish shallow woman but Talos gets to know the real Eve and when it seems the happiness is around the corner tragedy stikes not once but twice and then again they both have to surpass the hurdles to become a family together and find their HEA

Descubrí que no soy muy fan de las historias de amnesia, sobre todo si se lleva el tema tan lejos y es resuelto cerca del final de la novela. Estuve condicionada por eso, quizá, y porque acababa de leer a Betty Neels, y eso puso en evidencia aun más lo plano de estos personajes.
Las últimas novelas de Bianca que leí me dieron esa sensación: como una falta de respeto a los lectores, argumentos sin sustento, protagonistas que sólo hacen y no tienen un trasfondo que los hagan queribles o detestables. Me da igual si les va bien, no les creo el romance y avanzo páginas con sufrimiento, queriendo acabar rápido y pasar a otra cosa.
Esta autora y Maisey Yates se convirtieron un no rotundo.

There's not much I enjoy more than a good revenge romance, and this one has all of the good points. Plus, Jennie Lucas definitely knows how to tell a story. And yes, it was good, and the plot was somehow unique. But I think I will be in the minority with my feelings because I didn't enjoy it that much. Honestly, it was definitely not what I expected at all. I always love a book involving a lot of deceit and angst, as well as many conflicts to overcome – but this was a little bit too over-the-top for my taste.

This brings us a standard revenge plot with amnesia and a twist I didn’t see coming. The book opens with a bitter Talos learning that Eve his traitorous ex-lover is pregnant with amnesia. The story was entertaining, it was just missing something for me.
I found both characters likable, but I struggled with Eve at times. I felt like both her and her mom used the sweet stepdad, and I didn’t understand her actions after retrieving her memories. (and don’t get me started on his magical healing love club)
Bottom Line- I liked it… I just didn’t LOVE it, but several of my GR friends loved it… so keep that in mind. It has a complex plot with twists that I haven’t seen in HP before, but I read HP for the OTT soapy bits, and this one is more serious.
