Rate this book
The Complete and Balanced Muscle-Toning Program for Renewed Vitality and a More Youthful Appearance Carole Maggio's Facercise program has helped many thousands of women and men look younger and more vibrant without surgery, chemical peels, or Botox. Now, using the most advanced face technology, Carole has devised Ultimate Facercise, a program that is even faster and more efficient than the original. By working the muscles with more intensity, using body posturing and precision movements, the results are even more dramatic. In just eight minutes, twice a day, you can open up your entire eye area, reduce puffiness and eliminate hollows, lift your eyebrows, define your cheeks, plump up your lips, turn up the corners of your mouth, smooth out lines, and firm your entire neck and jawline. Carole also gives advice on the most advanced (nonsurgical) beauty treatments and even describes how to get rid of the hard lumps left under the skin by collagen or fillers and how the Ultimate Facercise program can help smooth out the effects of botched cosmetic surgery.

I got this book in December after a visit to a surgeon at the Moran Eye Institute. I'm still awaiting whether or not insurance will cover the surgery, but I think I will forgo having it, thanks to this book. Long story short, I was in an accident 20 years ago and had 5 surgeries to repair the left side of my face. Twenty years of gravity has made one eye much larger than the other, and the left side looks like it's melting off, as there are fewer nerves to help keep the muscles toned there. I just want to be symmetrical and look like me- the "right" me. I would like to avoid surgery, because you might not look like yourself afterward, and it only lasts several years.

The Facercise program works. Just like the body needs toning, so does the face. I noticed results after a couple of days- the first thing I noticed was that the sockets under my eyes filled out. The other thing I noticed right off was that the muscles in my nose developed quickly. I like having a muscular nose. :) I got the DVD and loaded it on my iPhone. I only do the exercises once a day, and you're supposed to do them twice, but I'm really happy with the results I'm getting. My eyes are not the same size yet, but I don't notice the difference unless I look closely. I still have a slight jowel on the left side, but my right side looks five years younger than it did two months ago. My neck is totally toned, my eyes are larger and brighter, my cheeks are developing, etc. I look more awake and alive. When I don't do the program for a couple of days, I can see it in my face. I highly recommend this book, or just get the DVD and follow it daily. You'll like the results.

I love this book! It really works, although it takes a few days to learn the techniques. Just like any form of exercise you have to keep doing it to maintain results. My personal favourite is the lip plumpling exercise - which actually gives instant results.
Once you master the techniques you can do them anywhere - although you do get some funny looks if you do them in the office.
Highly recommended.

Clear explanation of facial exercises that have a visible impact on appearance, with other contextual information. I'd suggest using as a quick reference support for the DVDs, which clarify the "what" and "how" even further. (pictures and thousands of words and all that)

Super quick read and can find the video to the exercises on YouTube. I haven’t done them yet but the concept makes sense. Her anti-aging tips are the same as any other book. Nice, short and to the point!
