For some weird reason i like this series. Its very entertaining, and sometimes you cant put it down. It seems like a kiddy book, but I love it. You learn a lot.

Every time i’m away from these books for a while i forget just how annoying and selfish Mallory is. It’s like she’s the Greg Heffley before he was a thing. And poor Mary Ann is Rowley that stays and puts up with the MC’s crap. At least Mallory isn’t also mean to Mary Ann
- mallory wants to celebrate her entire birthday month - Dad thinks a lot of the items mallory wants to do this month are unreasonable. Including a surprise party. He’s pushing for the same type of party max had when he turned 9 - Mission of telling everyone she knows about a party that weekend. Doesn’t even listen to what they have going on and assumes everyone is coming - Mom got sick on first weekend of birthday month - Class assignment to write about weekend. Mallory wrote about doing nothing and being told no - Mom is making a cake for Winnie’s half birthday - Parents both forgot to bring cupcakes for classroom celebration - Mallory tries to cut her own bangs - Mary Ann helps fix the hair situation with a headband - The start of mary ann and joey’s parents getting together!?!?! - Mary ann helps plan surprise party. They come up with invitations, food, and party favors - mallory didn’t even remember it was her birthday because she stayed up late planning her party - There was a surprise party! Never a skating party. Mary ann was playing along with planning the entire time - Included how to’s for the fan invitations, bookmark party favors, and even thank you notes
