The Actroid's Shadow. This story takes place in the future, when robots have already fully permeated our everyday life. A devastating automobile accident with an unmanned drone big rig kills Nick's friend. The suspicion of murder falls on Nick, a psychologist who specializes in robots, but the investigation reaches a dead end. At the same time, Nick meets Liza, and starts work on an android that will be indistinguishable from a human. This main hero doesn't realize that he is now part of a brilliant experiment. This novel has mystery, love, as well as disillusionment, loss, and victory. On the pages of this novel the author discusses creation of friendly artificial intelligence: robots who will never be enemies of man. Yet this risk exists...

Olga Toprover was born in Russia, lived in Canada for a few years, but currently resides in Los Angeles. Olga holds Master Degree in Computer Science from Moscow State University. She is also a published media author. Her scientific education and journalistic experience as well as living in different cities and countries formed her into the writer she is today. Olga believes that true literature is about people. Her stories, above all, are about us.

Эта книга - научно-фантастический роман, в котором робот становится почти человеком. Идея этой истории возникла у меня, когда я писала статью о сегодняшних достижениях робототехники. Человечество давно мечтает об искусственном интеллекте. Мечтаю и я :-)
