I've been fooling around with several (10+) different Linux distros and I really like Linux. I have pretty much settled on about six different distros that I have set up as dual boots (often with more than one distro in addition to Windows) on several laptops I've fixed up. Mint is one of the best, and I thought this book would be useful in filling in some gaps. It's a bit elementary for me, but would be excellent for someone just jumping in with little technical experience.

A good staring point

Just beginning to learn about Linux and chose Mint as my starting point. This ebook is a good intro for Windows users who might be considering a switch to linux.

Fantastic introduction to Mint!

Well laid out with the perfect amount of detailed instruction to get a very good handle on what the OS can do. Highly recommended!

Technical

There is a lot of jargon not explained in this book for the "beginner". To help beginners I would suggest more and bigger screenshots.

An extremely well-written book. This author knows English grammar, spelling and punctuation -- so necessary for a technical subject. Very clear and presented in an understandable way. Well done, Jonathan!

The Linux Mint Beginner's Guide

Very useful informative book. Some good items I am going to attempt to install also. I am enjoying Linux mint very much so far and books like this make Linux even more productive, fun and useful, as well as windows security constant nonsense free.
