Yes, I have a lot of books, and if this is your first visit to my amazon author page, it can be a little overwhelming. If you are new to my work, let me recommend a few titles as good places to start. I love my Dan Shamble, Zombie P.I. series, humorous horror/mysteries, which begin with DEATH WARMED OVER. My steampunk fantasy adventures, CLOCKWORK ANGELS and CLOCKWORK LIVES, written with Neil Peart, legendary drummer from Rush, are two of my very favorite novels ever. And my magnum opus, the science fiction epic The Saga of Seven Suns, begins with HIDDEN EMPIRE. After you've tried those, I hope you'll check out some of my other series.

I have written spin-off novels for Star Wars, StarCraft, Titan A.E., and The X-Files, and I'm the co-author of the Dune prequels. My original works include the Saga of Seven Suns series and the Nebula Award-nominated Assemblers of Infinity. I have also written several comic books including the Dark Horse Star Wars collection Tales of the Jedi written in collaboration with Tom Veitch, Predator titles (also for Dark Horse), and X-Files titles for Topps.

I serve as a judge in the Writers of the Future contest.

My wife is author Rebecca Moesta. We currently reside near Monument, Colorado.

Really liked this story! A murder mystery set in the highly secure area of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. Virtual Reality is being honed to incredible, more than lifelike, mind numbing, reality. And in the middle of this high tech development, the director of the program, Hal Michaelson, is mysteriously and quite violently murdered. FBI agent, Craig Kreident, and his team are called in to discover what happened. The authors, Keven J. Anderson and Doug Beason, have created a storyline that is intense and keeps you guessing. Really easy to read, the story keeps flowing. Not particularly a murder mystery type person, myself, but this one was really good. Going to follow up with other stories written by these two authors.

Not really SF, more thriller, it involves a group of people working on VR at LLNL. There is the usual assortment of characters, and various plot lines, but none of the plot lines really adds up to anything, and some of them are really more random than anything, and have no bearing except as glaring red herrings. Can't really recommend, although I wasn't bored, I'm not really into rereading this one. Probably will give away. Just dull, really, by the end. And such a let-down ending. I've read other stuff by them both, together and separately, and while not great authors, they usually turn out a decent book.

"Thriller", huh? Not very thrilling. A slow, plodding murder "mystery" without a whole lot of story. And a resolution that felt far too unexpected to be satisfactory.
