This story was wonderful! I have always had a thing for friends to lovers stories.
Robin's Nest was written in the first person POV. I read so very few books that are written in the first person, so I am not very used to them. In my opinion, there was way too much detail to read. At times it was like reading a script for a movie-way too much direction. But, at the same time there was a tiny bit missing too, such as background info about the group of friends they shared. It seems if they were such a tight-knit group there could have been a bit more about them written.
Now, the storyline itself was great. Robin & Sammie had been friends for many years. After a near-fatal accident involving Sammie, they decided to admit their stronger feelings for each other and take the relationship to the next level. The basis of this book, the idea of friends to lovers, and the characters themselves - I loved it! I read Robin's Nest in 1 sitting, I could not put it down! I do recommend you check out this book, I really think you will enjoy it!
I enjoyed this book.I got a ARC from Ashley's Reading Bliss. It started out slow but it picked up in the middle. I had a little trouble reading it because of the grammar errors. Aside from that the book was quite enjoyable. Robin and Samantha's story is a cute one. I love that they were best friends and because of Samantha's car accident that they realize that they are more than friends and want to be together. They have some trials but in the end it turns around and they get there happy ending. I would recommend this to my friends and the only advice I would give is to have it edited before the final book comes out.
The story line for this book was good. It involved two friends who realize that life is short and being honest about your feelings is important. When Sam gets into a bad car accident, hit head-on by a drunk driver, and almost dies, Robin stays by her side the entire time that she is in a coma. Facing the devastating loss that might have been, the close call that could have taken her away forever, they acknowledge how they really feel about each other and decide to take their relationship beyond friendship. The characters are likable and the reader cares about how the story plays out.
Unfortunately, the story drags in spots with perhaps more detail than is needed. The worst part, however, is the poor editing which makes it difficult to move through the story properly, especially when key words are missing. One’s attention becomes more directed at the errors and less involved in the story because of those distractions. It is still a good read and many will enjoy Robin and Sam’s story.
This book started out with great potential but fell a bit flat for me personally. Sammie is in a car accident and her best mate Robin stays by her side until she regains consciousness. They both realise that she could have died and they recognise how short one’s life can be. They also understand that they have been hiding their true feelings and decide to take a chance at being a couple. The problem I had, was that there were too much descriptiveness details that really did not add anything to the story. Then there was so much sex it became boring and to be honest, I just found myself skimming through the pages. I also prefer my male characters to be the alpha dominant and I felt that Sammie was dominant, while Robin was unsure what he wanted to be. The part about the carjacking had so much potential, but again it missed its mark. The book was in some desperate need of editing and for me personally, it was a bit all over the place Reviewed for Hot books and Sassy Girls book blog
This was a nice interesting friend to lover story. Yes, it had action and a twist or two, but it was mostly the realization and growth that Robin and Sammie had about their relationship. Don't get me wrong, it had heat, but it also had love. And it was great to see a strong-minded woman stay strong-minded and not be afraid to show it to others! Sammie gave as good as she got which I loved! Only odd thing for me was their discussion about pregnancy. If they had been friends for that long, wouldn't that have come up in their 25 years as friends?? Ah well, no matter...just grab a copy and kick back to enjoy!

Sam and Robin have been friends from the beginning.. Robin protected Sam from her adopted brothers... Sam has been in a coma for a week.. when she wakes she finds that Robin has not left her side... While she recovers, Sam realizes there’s more between them than just friendship... This book takes you on the jurney of two friends finding their way into each others arms... I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone 18 and over.. lots of HOT sex...
This was a sweet story of Samantha and Robin, childhood friends who realized they were something more. Something nearly tragic had to trigger it, as often happens with people. Life is short, live it to the fullest. I think Robin was a nice, sweet guy who cared a lot about Sam. I would have preferred him a little more assertive. Sam was the more assertive person in the couple; fairly bossy. She was not my favorite character but she was lucky that Robin cared so much. Enjoy.

When tragedy strikes for Samantha and her dearest friend Robin stays with her their relationship undergoes a fundamental shift.
Once again Melissa Stevens provides excellent character development and her plot movement continues to entertain. I strongly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys crying a like a baby and emotional roller coasters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have mixed feelings on this one. It was a nice story about two friends who become more after a life threatening accident. I enjoyed the story but felt that there was a lot of "stuff" in the book to extend the story without making much of a difference. Still it was a fast and easy read with nice characters and an HEA. I did read an ARC so hopefully all the errors got fixed before it went final and I didn't mark off for that.
It takes a lot to sit with someone while they are in the shape she was but you know the feelings run deeper than friend ship. Add in her family and you get suspense, emotional situations, heartache, heartwarming both. It could have been a little deeper emotionally between the two but overall a good story, I received a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
She has just woken up from a coma after a car accident to find her best friend has never left her side. He has been worried about her while she had been in the coma. Can a relationship be formed between them? What if it fails? Will they still be friends? See if they give it a go

I loved this book! Sam is having such a bad stretch but at least she has her best friend there to support her. Sometimes the heart knows what it wants but our brain or ego gets in the way. Luckily, Robin and Sam finally figure it out. 💝
Samantha and Robin are best friends and when she has an accident he does not leave her side in the hospital. When Samantha is leaving she wonders if Robin means more than she thought. Reading how these two learn to come together made for a very good story that I am glad I read.
Heartwarming, emotional, sexy, fun and engaging friends to so much more journey that completely captured my heart. Robin and Sam are so sweet and passionate... loved watching them grow together and fall. Highly entertaining reading.
I loved the deep connection between these two characters. He was a wonderful and amazing character. The story was believable and the characters were written so well, they seemed real to me. I enjoyed this book immensely.
I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.

Good read! Great story line once you got past the typo's and the incomplete sentences. Well worth the time to read. If there was as continuation to this story I would be in favor to read it.
Enjoyable read, loved the build up. Felt a little flat in the best friends forever never having considered one another sexually before, but it worked out.
This was a really sweet story about two best friends that realize life is too short to waste it. Samantha is in a car accident after helping Robin out and leaving his home. She is in a coma for a week during which he never leaves her bedside. She wakes up and finds him sleeping in the chair next to her hospital bed. After she is released from the hospital, Robin stays with her and they begin their romantic relationship. There are some more twists and turns in their love story. This is well-written and very endearing.
Robin and Same have been best friends for 25 years, after waking from a coma from a car accident Sam realizes she has deeper feelings for Robin. He never left her side for the week and Robin also realized life was to short to waste time, so they decided to take their friendship to the next level. Sweet romantic story, falling in romantic love with someone you are so comfortable with and knows you better then you know yourself.
After reading the blurb it sounded like a great story but after a few chapters in it got slow to keep my attention. I felt it had more themes going on with the Christian romance with being clean and no cursing but it had some soft bondage and sex. It was a okay story but I had to force myself to finish. Lots and lots of details that it didn't really need and there were a few places that words were needed or spelled correctly.
I wanted to give this one 5 stars, but unfortunately, I have to admit I was distracted by the amount of typos in the book. Characters were well written. Although story was a tad unbelievable, but flowed really well. I liked the relationship between the main characters Robin and Sam. Good story-- too bad about the number of errors.
I won this book in a goodread giveaway Strange combination how one chapter was wholesome family next was explicit sex scenes then back to everyday living but taken altogether an enjoyable read Many Thanks
A really sweet story. Sometimes the very best things are right in front of us and we overlook or take them for granted. Melissa Stevens, thank you for the gentle reminder to appreciate our gifts.
