A CAPTIVATING NOVEL BY THE BESTSELLING AUTHOR of WHY ME & THE SALTY SERIES!!!! Miracle can't grasp the fact that she was dismissed for a whore. Alexis refuses to admit that her lies are the reason her son is fatherless. Silvia loves her man and will stop at nothing to prove her love . . . nothing . . . So murder is an option. All of these women have one thing in common: They believe that Monica is the problem, and they want her out of the way. Why Her? is a novel about cruel, low self-esteem wenches who never understood the number one rule of love: Love thyself first. Because of that, they will make Monica's life miserable. Will Monica be able to survive the drama? Or will she give up and let them win?
I am Aleta aka DivaHotPen and I write books. My Debut is ZipCodez A Watts and Compton Tale; it's a gangster love story. My Bestselling series is Salty A Ghetto Soap Opera 1-4 and Why Me? A Novella and its sequel Why HER? I am a mother, a wife, and friend, a diva who get great pleasure in inspiring other women! I love The Lord and trust that all that I've been through prepared me for a time like this ( A Great One....) I Refuse to complain about anything.... I refuse to live life mad and trying to make others miserable....I refuse to live life with regret and sorrow ( I will not) God said I shall live life with Joy and not worry or regret because it will not change a thing. Take it all to him in prayer and it shall workout in my favor.
I went through every emotion possible while reading this book. Mrs. Williams has given us another banger. Why her? Starts off exactly where why me left off at. This books is filled with love, lies and deceit. If you haven't read a book by Aleta Williams you are clearly missing out, she's a beast with the pen.
This is my first read by Aleta Williams and it was great. I started reading Why Her? and realized that there was a book, Why Me?, before that, but I didn't feel lost at all. This was an excellent read from start to finish, and I can't wait to read all of her other books. I was engaged in the story from the beginning. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster ride. I don't know who ran me the craziest, but poor Monica just couldn't catch a break. Silvia and Miracle belonged on a crazy ward or somewhere for sure. All and all this was a great story. I wouldn't mind see if Donte and Monica will ever become a family again or this is truly the end.
Why Her begins right where Why Me left off. Just when you think Monica has finally escaped hell, some new and old characters arrive to make sure they inflict more pain. Will she be able to survive the torment this time? From the first page to the last nothing but drama, This book will have you going through a range of emotions from mad to sad as the pages turn. I would definitely recommend this series if drama, and a unique storyline is what you look for in a 5 star read. Great Job Aleta on both the Salty and Why Me/Her series looking forward to more of your work.
Wow what a great follow up to Why me. Monica went through so much and she kept asking Why her. She perservied throught it all and still Why her. I loved Dontae to a certain extent but he was a typical man who sometimes thought with the wrong head even though he loved Monica. I wanted to see then get back together after the smoke cleared but understoood Monica need to learn to love herself before she could show true love to anyone else. Bravo Aleta loved it. Looking forward to readint more from you in the near future.
Aleta did her thing with this book. Why Her pulled me in from the beginning and I wasn't able to put it down until I finished. Aleta did a great job showing how the sins of parents can destroy innocent kids. Aleta keep doing a GREAT job with your books, I haven't read one yet that I didn't love.
I just finished reading “Why Her” and I can honestly say this is one of the best books I’ve ever read on the topic of comparison and competition among women. Nicki brings a refreshing and light-hearted perspective, while at the same time offering a real and biblical depth as we follow the story of the sisters Rachel and Leah in the Old Testament. I think the thing that stood out to me the most is that while there are several books on this topic, Nicki takes it a step further and peels back the layers of why and how we as women struggle with comparison and feelings of inadequacy or not realizing how God is working in our own individual stories for His glory. Nicki has a way of making you feel like you truly are sitting at her kitchen table over a cup of coffee, and just talking it out – via the pages of her book. She offers much more than spiritually lofty principles and gets right into the issues of the heart – so many practical takeaways for looking honestly within, checking real life attitudes that we all have, and applying practical, spiritual guidance. This quote sums it up: “This uniquely beautiful, unexplainable life that God is building in each of us was never meant to look exactly like someone else’s, regardless of the message our culture shouts at us.”
When is Monica going to catch a break?!! She has definitely been through some real hard core ishhh and you would think that after all of it she would be able to live her life peacefully but drama is always lurking it seems. Donte he was blowing my mind with this shit with Miracle thirsty ass. I don’t see how females could be so desperate for someone else’s man. I mean she was so dehydrated it didn’t make no sense. But Donte didn’t make it any better because he kept spoon feeding the bitch like wth smh. So what Monica is giving him right now he deserves and then for you to talk shit about her to your side bihhh I don’t feel sorry for him. However, I hope at the end of this they find their way back together but who knows too much damage has been done. How about this mother fkin Silvia...Frank Lark I hope he catches the blues because he let this damn psycho out and now her sick ass is planning to cause distraction. This book is really good!! Het into it!!!!
There were more grammatical and editing errors with this installment that detracted from the overall story. There were times Miracle was referred to as Monica and I had to re-read the paragraphs to make sure I wasn't tripping. Getting past those, I loved this installment! Miracle and Silvia were CRAZY! What made them think they were entitled to Dontae or Jarvis is beyond me. I'm glad they're miserable. Although a victim,. Black Jack got what he deserved for his overall treatment of women in general. Dontae deserved to lose Monica. With her gone maybe he'll learn how to fully love and appreciate her. Going to read installment 3, I hope there's no more drama/ pain in store for Monica.
The book excels in its depiction of complex, well-developed characters, whose realistic flaws and relatable experiences add depth to the story. Williams' ability to evoke a wide range of emotions allows readers to connect deeply with the characters and their tumultuous journeys.
This just gets better with each book. Mental illness is real and Silvia was so far gone. I think that Miracle has some sort of mental illness as well. I'm hoping that Monica and Donte can work things out
Never imagined that this story would capture my attention for this long. So happy that I found this book. Monica has struggled all of her adult life. Hoping this book helps her finally find love.
This lady can't win for losing. I'm so glad that she made it through the be and her friend came forward about the drugs. Now Dontae needs to get his be together and give thus woman time to heal and forgive.
Leaving off with Donte finding Monica once again and dumping Miracle and the drama beginngs with the whole getting revenge. Donte can't keep his dick in his pants and Monica is paying for it although the story. We're introduce to Miracle sister Silvia who's crazy as hell and is in love with Blackjack which is one of use to be pimps from the last book. Miracle is busy trying to breakup the relationship of Donte and Silvia is busy trying to keep a man that don't want her. Alexis is in the background working on a plan to kill off Monica to get donte back. The book again wasn't long or touching on characters to like or dislike it but it did make me turn the pages to find out what happen next.
I am glad Monica decided to just love herself. Donte is brave many men would have tried everyday to get the love of their life back , but at least he can spend time with her. Mrs wright I am glad you getting it together I know it was hard but you at least you at peace with yourself.Good read
This chick is messed up in the head, I guess anybody would be too if they were kidnapped, beaten, turned into a prostitute and almost killed, will she get back with her babies father? Have to read the next part
Sometimes you have to go through some things to understand somethings and this is one of the situation. Donte did some wrong but love is a two way start at least he is not giving up.
