The end of the year, the end of an era...

Lucky Miranda's finished strong. She has what she's always wanted:

Kane. Reformed, relationship-ready, really boring.

Harper has prom queen in the bag -- but sadly, her king has bailed.

Adam's busy tending to Beth, who is fully unable to move on.

It means leaving Reed, who, let's admit, has no future anyway.

Before they toss those caps in the air, there is a surprise or two left.

Have no fear.

As much as I loved this book, it disappointed me somehow.

Maybe because Harper and Adam ended up as the "main couple", which I don't believe is right. I can't stand Harper, I don't believe she deserved to finally get her man. She put everyone through shit and she still ended up getting what she wanted?

What about Beth? I don't even like Beth that much either, but it seems terribly unfair that she missed out on all her dreams, and she was basically left with nothing but hope in the end.

No, the only couple I was rooting for were Miranda and Kane, and they fucked up. I understand that in order for Kane to come around full circle, he needed to finally accept consequences of his actions, but it pains me that my OTP were sacrificed in order for this to happen.

It felt like the final book strayed away from other characters (Reed, for example. He disappeared from the last 100 pages or so) and focused more on Harper. When I wanted to know what was happening with Kane, what was going through his mind, etc, Wasserman quickly flicked back to Harper. Harper Harper Harper. I didn't want to know anything else about Harper!

I do admire that not everything turned out for the best though. Because life isn't a fairytale ending; people end up in jail, couples break up, friends separate. We go through many relationships with many different people, we make mistakes, we suffer, even in the end. And Wasserman exemplified this amazingly well. So I applaud her on that, even if I don't agree with how the characters' lives ended up.

Bilmiyorum onlar birden bire oldu hatta Beth'in sonu falan geçmedi bana.

I really enjoyed reading “Greed” by Robin Wasserman. This book is about a group of teenagers in their senior year of high school. Graduation has finally come and reality sets in. Harper is the main character and she wants Adam, but Adam is not sure what he wants. He can’t decide whether to comfort Beth or go back to Harper. Kane has a big ego and gets Miranda into a lot of trouble. He shows his true colors in the way he deals with his own mistakes. In the end, Adam realizes he has loved Harper all along. They only have a short time together before he leaves for college, where he received a scholarship to play basketball. Miranda and Harper plan to live together in college. Beth is working to keep her life in order after things backfired regarding her future. Reed leaves to go on tour, so Beth said goodbye to him and is ready to move on.

There are six main characters in this book. Harper is stubborn, independent, and gets everything she wants. Adam is characterized as the perfect guy. Kane is self-centered and mischievous. Beth is the “good girl” but shows that she will not put up with being pushed around. Miranda has gotten more outgoing after dating Kane. She has learned to be more confident in herself. Reed is the one character that does not change a bit. He is very laid back and just goes with the flow.

The setting of this story takes place in Las Vegas and Grace, California. The teenagers spent their time vacationing in Las Vegas and then went back home to California. They socialize at each other’s homes and a diner. This story is told in present time. It is told from the perspective of each of the teens. This gives the reader insight on the feelings of each character throughout the story.

The theme of this book is exactly its title. The selfish desire for something someone wants is shown in numerous events. Throughout this story, all the teenagers show greed at some point. Harper is the most driven by greed in this story.

I would recommend this book to anyone in high school. This book keeps the reader interested and wanting to read more. There are many unexpected twists throughout this story. Different events are thrown at the reader and makes the story very unpredictable.

I did like that the series wrapped up, but i was a little disheartened by the ending. Reed pretty much fell of the radar and in my opinion Beth was left with nothing, while Harper managed to gain it all. I loved this series, but in the end Harper, who had been malicious throughout the series was left fulfilled and with Adam, which i don't think was right. Maybe its the fact that I never liked Harper, or perhaps I'm just not with the spirit of the 'seven deadly sins' but, Beth could have had her education at the very least no?

I started this series when I was a senior in high school (2006) and I graduated before I could finish it. For years I thought about what happens in the last 4 books, so I purchased the entire series recently (I’m 35 🙊). Well, to say I hated how this series ended is an understatement. Harper was the worst, most manipulative person yet still ended up with everything she wanted. Kane remained awful, Beth’s future amounted to nothing and Adam literally got back with the girl who manipulated and lied to him. Ick. I hates it all, but at least now I know how it ended.

Personal response:
I really enjoyed Greed by Robin Wasserman a lot. It was interesting to see where all of the characters would end their senior year. It was kinda sad to not see Adam and Beth get back together in the end of the year/book. Other than that I really thought it was worth committing to the Seven Deadly Sins.

Plot:
The end of the school year is finally here. Beth is still unable to move on from everything that happened in Vegas and isn't sure what she wants to do with her life. Beth doesn't know if she wants to go to college after high school or not. Meanwhile, Adam is having some luck go his way, or at least it seems. After being back a few days, Adam gets called into the guidance office and a college coach is there for basketball. Adam got offered a full ride scholarship if he decides to take the coach up on the offer. Except, Adam isn’t much of a school guy and is really deciding against taking the offer. The coach gives Adam till graduation to give him his decision on if he’ll play or not. Harper at the same time is still ignoring Adam because he is close to Beth again. Harper just can’t be friends with Adam if he is also friends with Beth. To Harper, Adam is choosing Beth over her, even though he isn’t. Harper feels it should be one or the other, not both. Miranda on the other hand finally got everything she wants: Kane. Her and Kane are a happy couple, though not really a couple. Miranda wants more out of the relationship but doesn’t wanna scare Kane away by telling him how much she likes him. Eventually Miranda gets annoyed with her relationship with Kane. After a thinking about it, Kane really understands what his true feelings are for Miranda. Kane borrows Miranda’s car and stashed his drugs in the trunk. When Kane and Miranda go for a drive, Kane is caught speeding by a county cop. Miranda has to take the fall for it since it’s her car and there is really no way to prove it isn’t hers. Kane feels really bad for doing this to Miranda but if they found out the truth, his scholarship would be ruined. On another note, Adam is still deciding what he would like to do with his life. By graduation, Adam decides to not take the scholarship and he decides to stay back with Harper.

Characterization:
Harper Grace: Harper is back to her usual self. She is being self-centered and wants everything for herself. Even though she has her bestfriend back, Harper still feels as if it isn’t enough.

Miranda Stevens: Miranda's life seems to be going everywhere but tragic. She finally has Kane and just about everything else she needs. Next fall she’ll be living with her bestfriend for college and couldn’t be more contempt with that.

Kane Geary: Kane is still a little scared to stay fully committed to a relationship. Kane isn’t sure how to treat Miranda right yet and doesn’t really know if he wants to stay.

Adam Morgan: Adam is finally catching a break in his life. Adam gets offered a big scholarship that could change his future forever. Is this scholarship really what Adam wants in the end though?

Beth Manning: Beth is trying hard to forget everything that has happened to her this past school year. Beth has no idea where her life derailed and crashed and burned. Beth is just looking for what lies ahead and hoping it’s nothing too serious.

Setting:
Greed takes place in modern day times in a town called Grace. Grace is a very small town where nothing exciting ever happens.

Thematic connection:
I feel a very common theme in Greed is that happiness depends upon ourselves. All through the book people are looking to others to make their life better. Beth is looking towards Adam, Harper towards Adam, and Miranda towards Kane. They are too dependent on thinking they need a relationship to be happy.

Recommendation:
If you love drama and tragic love, this book and series are definitely for you. I would recommend this book to anyone in high school. It was really easy to connect with being the same age as the characters in the book. I enjoyed the drama and how much it connected how a high school can actually be. I give this book a five out of five.

Overall, I suppose this is an okay series. Sometimes it's hard to see the characteristics that give the title to each book. The first book, Lust, was the easiest to see. Everyone was trying to sleep with someone else. This final book, Greed, also had some points that highlighted that particular sin; specifically when Miranda ends up in jail because Kane refuses to admit the drugs found in her car actually belong to him. Or when Harper gets jealous of all the time Adam spends with Beth.

Jack Powell olayını nasıl sonlandıracağını bilemediği için Kaia'yı öldürmüş yazar resmen. Beth'e yolladığı mektubun devamı gelmedi "yakında görüşürüz" yazıyordu oysaki. Seri boyunca Harper'dan nefret ettim. Neden sadece o dörtlüye mutlu son yazıldı ki? Haksızlık bu. Miranda'nın kısımlarını okurken sıkıntıdan patladım. Kaia'yı zaten sevmezdim. Reed'e bayılıyorum. Kendi lise hayatımı, okulumu düşünüyorum da baya masum geçmiş :D

Lacking of excitement towards the end of the series. Pure drama. Though, I needed to know how it ends so I, reluctantly, finished the book.

Finally, all sorted out in a compromising way for the main characters. They found their own ways that they're happy enough to go through. Not an entirely happy ending for everyone, especially, for the one that didn't have a chance to grow into their adulthood, but for the ones still alive and kicking, they're moving on.

The gang is back from their very interesting trip to Vegas, and they are ready for whatever is thrown their way, since they have been through so much and it's finally the end of high school.

Beth and Adam are finally back together, after their really long break, full of lies, secrets, and cheating. This typical high school sweetheart couple just hasn't called it quits yet, but starting over doesn't mean that their feelings for other people have gone away just yet. And what they thought was in the past just may show up once again.

Having Beth and Adam together leaves Harper and Reed alone... once again. Harper thought that she and Adam actually had something special together and that they would finally be together forever. And even though Reed and Beth have had a rocky relationship, Reed sill believed that they could work it out. Maybe it's not too late for them after all.

Miranda has finally gotten Kane to be her boyfriend, even if the only thing that is on his mind is getting out of high school -- well, that and a certain secret that could just possibly cause him his life. But even though they may be a couple, are their feelings for real, or is it just a little fling?

It's almost graduation time, and plenty can change until then. Everyone is back, with a little GREED on their mind.

As the last book of the series, GREED was the perfect way to conclude. With even more secrets and deception, fights and misunderstandings, who knew that high school drama could be so appealing? Fans of this series will not be disappointed with how Robin Wasserman completes the story. The only thing that will be on their mind is: why aren't there anymore sins?

This is the final book in the Seven Deadly Sins series. I just have to say that it’s really cool that I’d been following up on this series all this time, and now, for school, I’m reading The Inferno of Dante, which is about sins as well. The difference though, is that these books are modernized and about seniors in high school.

There are six main characters in this book. (There were seven, hence the seven sins, but one died like 3 books ago.) Beth: little miss perfect. (My favorite character.) Adam: the jock who has a tendency to play Hero. Kane: well-known player who’s earning some big cash—illegally. Reed: smoker/pot-doer/rock star. Miranda: timid Miranda, always on the outside, looking in. And Harper: Prom Queen and mega-bitch. Harper is my least favorite character—one reason being that she’s too selfish for me to relate to, and that I hardly saw any changes in her personality wise.

But anyway, on with the storyline. I know it’s not original or anything, because the story isn’t and the characters are pretty much overused, but I just really liked the series. There was so much going on with each book and so much raw emotion there between these group of linked teenagers that the storyline seemed new and refreshing. I don’t know. I just got that feeling from the book. And I pretty much love all the characters and the choices they made, the consequences that followed, although I kind of wish Beth and Reed could’ve gotten together. The ending seemed a bit rushed, and it left us just wondering what was going to happen to these people.

The Book i choose is a series book. It's mostly about high school life. The main characters are Miranda, Kane, Adam, Harper, And Reed. It's the end of their highschool year and their going to graduate. Miranda always wanted Kane until one day she finally gets him to be her boyfriend. Meanwhile since Beth and Adam broken up, Harper has gotten closer to Adam and probably thinks they would ended up together. But then Beth and Adam got back together after awhile. Also left Reed alone since him and Beth had something and he had a feeling to not move on. Harper basically get's jealous since she has feelings for Adam and he's too busy spending time with Beth. But at the end Adam ends up being with Harper since his feelings for her haven't gone away. So Harper got everything what she has always wanted including Adam, while Beth ended up with nothing but at least at the end she learned her lesson and can mature and also be independent.

What i didn't like about the book is when Miranda take the fault for Kane since he didn't want to admit he had left drugs in the car. It was immature of his part because Miranda is his girlfriend and while she's in jail he seems not to care, He tells Harper it's not his problem. I think he should of just admit it. What the book made me think about is that people can surprise you and you just have to be independent. What i like about this book is that it has teen drama and this can actually happen to people but it can set an example to some teens.

Although there were a lot of scandals and mishaps, these six teenagers have come together to finally solve their issues before their high school graduation. The things that happened throughout the entire series really made me think about what is important in life and what I want to get out of it. Sometimes, doing the right thing is doing what you really want—this seemed to be a very big theme in the novel. The ending was really awesome because everything turned out okay. The characters were all able to take something away from all of the troubles and looked towards what was ahead of them instead of dwelling in their pasts.
The character I most connected to in the whole series was Miranda. She had a best friend who knew pretty much everything about her and even though she never wanted to admit it, she was quiet and shy. Also, the thing that really awed me was how in the beginning of high school, she kept her eye on this thing that she wanted and towards the end, she got it. Maybe since this character was very similar to me in a way, other high school students will find a character in this story that fits them—or at least he/she can relate to one of the gang.

I wasn't sure about this last book. I didn't like how reed disappeared from most of the book. it would have been good to know more about him. And, though it was mentioned in the other book, it seemed like Miranda's bulimia just randomly appeared. They spent way too much time on the whole Harper-Adam thing. Adam just came off as annoying to me. Throughout the whole series it seemed like he acted like he was the victim. I kind of wanted him to grow a backbone and stop complaining so much. Though it seems like a lot of people didn't like it, I loved that at the end of the book, Beth was left with hope. I like how she didn't need anybody to lean on anymore. It kind of showed the beginning of a new age. I was glad that she managed to finally figure out what she needed, and that she stopped acting like a victim and had grown up. All in all, I loved the series and it kept me wanting to know what happened next.

well its the end of an era...i mean a series and it went out with a bang (kinda). There were good things and bad things about this book. it had an interesting twist to it that i did not see coming and everyone developed into the best versions of themselves which is good i guess. On the down side the ending was so sickeningly sappy. Everything works out perfect and everyones happy? gag me! it wouldve been more interesting to me to cut to several years down the road to see where everyone was ...say a 10 year reunion epilogue. But no instead Harper of all people muses about how perfect the little group is and how wonderful high school was. The only people who really feel that way peaked in high school. This wasnt a bad book by any means but it was a disappointing end to such a shocking series.

All in all, this was a very cute series. Vapid, sure - but cute.

I wasn't completely thrilled with the way everything ended, though. A "big happy ending" doesn't suit this series. Harper and Adam should have stayed broken up. Miranda should have told Kane where to stuff it. And Beth should NOT have ended back up with Reed. It's like the author got all the way to the end and just couldn't bear to let her characters be miserable.

But, I am definitely not sorry I read these. I enjoyed every one of them. They were a very fast and addicting read, and I loved how each of the Seven Sins played in to the story. Very original, and I'm sad this was the last one!

This book was great. The final book in the series and I found myself to be very sad when it came time to read the final chapter. I'm definitely going to miss Harper, Adam, Reed, Miranda, Kane, and maybe even Beth. I love how Robin tied up the ends of the relationships of the characters and left the ending somewhat open to interpretation for readers. This has been one of my favorite book series ever and I wish it wasn't over...

I read these books a while ago. They are very good. Although I don't remember every detail about all these books, I remember how hard it was to put them down. They're really edgy and dark. They're a lot like the Pretty Little Liars series, just with boys in them.
I read these books back in high school when my friend Van was going to donate them to the school, but I took them off her hands instead to read.

I love the series and I so glad the Haper and Adam end up toghter. I wish that Robin Wasserman will continue the sries. I think that all the real fan of the seven deadly sins should ald write Robin and tell her how much you love the series and that she should write some more to the series. I think that if all the fans did that she would be motive to write more because she see how many people love her books. So tell all fan to write her.

I didnt like how things ended up for Beth. The whole group ruin her life but its Harper thats left with the best friend, Kane being nice to her, and the perfect guy... What is wrong with that picture. She gets to pine over the guy that said i wish you were dead!! Oh and still leaves her in the end. Not fair!!

I seriously loved this novel!!! It was the perfect end to an amazing series that I did not expect to love so much. I got into the series blindly by my cousin and when I started reading it was amazing. I love the conclusions and the twists that happen to all of the characters but I seriously wish that the series was not over I so want it to continue!

*Friendship five*! Jk. I loved the end to this series. Seriously. I loved this book! This series has been perfectly paced, and despite everything, completely relatable. This series was everything that was great about Gossip Girl, once upon a time, with a more middle class focus. I loved it, and I'm so happy I've read it. Amazing.
