Logan Kincaid was sent to Oregon City on ranch business for the Cooke brothers and the Triple C. He sold the cattle he brought, played detective for the Cooke's as instructed,(Due to the mayhem of several weeks prior. You can read about them in Her Prairie Viking Prairie Brides, Book Four) and unfortunately, came up empty handed. He'd hoped beyond hope he'd have SOMETHING to bring back to Clear Creek that would help the Cooke's and the tiny town, but sometimes what we think we want, isn't what we need, and Logan (with a little unexpected help) got EXACTLY what he needed!
She was beautiful, she was alone, and she was terribly injured. Who was this man who came out of nowhere to rescue her? He saved her from certain death and was determined to take her back with him to a place called Clear Creek. He was handsome, strong, and kind and if she wasn't careful, she'd be quickly smitten. In fact, he was so determined to protect her he offered to marry her to do it! There was only one problem. She had no idea who she was!
Join Logan on his quest to return to Clear Creek and bring to the tiny town just what the Ladies Sewing Circle ordered ...
Kit Morgan, aka Geralyn Beauchamp, has been writing for fun all of her life. When writing as Geralyn Beauchamp, her books are epic, adventurous, romantic fantasy at its best. When writing as Kit Morgan they are whimsical, fun, inspirational sweet and clean stories that depict a strong sense of family and community. 'His Prairie Princess' is the first of the Prairie Brides books and the first in the series of a long line of stories about Clear Creek, Oregon. One of the wackiest little towns in the old west! Get to know the townsfolk in Clear Creek and come sit a spell!
NOTE: Hi folks, it has come to my attention there is an erotica book floating around out there written under the name Kit Morgan. IT IS NOT MY BOOK! I do not, and never will, write in that genre.
The last we saw Logan he was heading out with cattle to sell in Oregon City and make some inquiries about where one dirty, rotten Count and his cohorts disappeared to. He sold the cattle but found no information. Now on his way home to the Triple C Ranch he runs into his future in the form of one beautiful, lost and terrified young woman who obviously has been shot and left for dead. She has no memory of much of anything, not even her name but nightmares hound her as her mind tries to accept what happened to her while still holding onto the secret of her identity. It’s all a mysterious puzzle wrapped in a delightful young woman. Logan didn’t set out to find love and marriage on this trip… but it looks like he was found by them instead.
His Prairie Sweetheart is slightly different from the other stories in the series so far – in this one we’re mostly spending time with Logan and Susara. We do meet up with the White family and Preacher Dan, but beyond that this couple is alone as Logan tries to make his way home with an injured, terrified woman. Susara’s situation is heartbreaking and terrifying for her. And we don’t really get to see justice yet – but knowing this series, we probably will before the ending of it all. Logan and Susara fit very naturally together. Their bantering, his comforting presence and her strength in trying to remember what happened to her all play a part in their romance. There will be tears and laughter as well. I had a great time with this story and would recommend it to any Western Historical Romance reader. The more I read of the Prairie Brides series, the faster I want to get to the next story. A really good series does that to me.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Kit had me cracking up in this book. Logan rescues a lady who has been beat up badly. He names her Fred. He brings her to the Whites house for Mrs White to tend her injuries. “Fred” doesn’t remember anything at first. Mrs White finds a paper with her name- Suzara on it. Even after Logan find out Suzaras name he continues to call her Fred which infuriates Suazara... it was hilarious! Fred was Logan’s horses name!!
This is the story of Logan Kincaid and Susara (Fred). She has amnesia as a result of attack. Of course she gets her memory back. One big change in this book from the previous four is this book did not have a dramatic climax in the last chapter. And I liked the book better because she told the story and didn't fabricate events for a climax.
As Logan traveled across the prairie on his long, lonely trip back to Clear Creek he certainly didn't expect to find a woman, much less a Sweetheart! Can be save her from her injuries and get her back to his home? A bit of a cliff hanger that picks up in Book 6.
I so enjoyed this one! It kept me awake reading way past bedtime! Just couldn't put it down. The mystery of who Fred was turned out to be quite a puzzle. I would hope to see Mr. Dobbs come to a bad end hopefully in a story farther down the line. Good read!
Logan Kincaid and Fred, what a great story. I absolutely loved getting to know Logan better and meeting Susara. Another great book by Kit Morgan that keeps you on the edge of your seat as you read it.
Pure adventure, love of a name Fred, this is a wonderful visit to the west as mo one else has taken us. Thank you so much for the book and I recommend this book and author to my friends and family. I will get the rest now, truly inspiring.
The adventures of Logan and Fred! The Whites were an interesting bunch, and Mrs. White was a very wise woman. And Preacher Dan was up to mischief as well.
I love Western Romance!! This is a series of 7 books that I just read over the last two days...they are easy reading and full of fun and romance, intrigue and mystery, danger and bravery.
Logan is the foreman of the Triple C ranch...working for the Cooke brothers, teaching them how to be cattlemen. Coming back from a successful sale in Oregon City, he finds something he is not prepared for...a couple of Indians on horseback, with a young woman...she has been shot, and they drop her carefully to the ground and nod at Logan before riding away...
What happens with a head injury in this case is - amnesia. The young woman is not in good shape and cannot remember who she is or how she got to the Oregon territory. Something horrible must have happened to her, besides being shot in the head....
Logan is on his way back home, when he notices two Indians. They have a female that they are making his responsibility. She has been shot in the head, and in a bad way.
Logan - Triple C forman Susara (Fred) - found injured and with temporary amnesia This story was loads of fun with lots of humours banter Their story has a wonderful HEA
Language: 5 stars. I can't remember any instances of swearing.
Abuse: 5 stars.
Lust: 4 stars. A couple of passionate kisses, mentions of consummating marriage in brief passing, attempted rape. In spite of all the alone time that this couple had because of their situation, this is probably the cleanest romance in the whole series so far.
What I liked:
The amnesia plotline was very well done. Susara regained her memory in fits and starts, just enough out of reach in order to move the plot forward. The whole "Fred" nickname bit that Logan used. There were some times when you really want to facepalm, but it was rather cute.... Logan is the most honorable of all the guys. He kept his emotions and thoughts well in check, which relieved me after reading the rest of the Prairie Brides books.
What I didn't like:
I've started to notice a pattern with Kit Morgan - she keeps it fairly clean but she definitely pushes the envelope a little. Throughout this series, she has some sort of attempted rape and lustful thoughts. To me, that's a bit much.
