TIDE STEALERS is the second book in THE SUNKEN KINGDOM series.

After returning home from their quest to find their baby sister, Una, Asa spends her time by the water trying to figure out the magic concealed in the Moonstone Star. The lovely gem was concealed in some of Una's possessions that the witch princess had saved. With their mother gone, the magic power should pass to Asa. However, trying to summon fish with the magic, Asa instead draws a ship of Tide Stealers. The pirates quickly grab the gem and vanish back into the water.

Crying for help, Rollo comes to Asa's aid. With his enchanted powers of being able to swim underwater, he rushes in after the Tide Stealers. But they are too fast and he returns to the surface. Asa has boarded the ghost ship Northseeker, and the two quickly lay chase.

Finding the hidden lair of the pirates, they encounter Skalti Wolfkiller, the head Tide Stealer. He informs them that he knows who they are and would gladly return the stone to them, but it was stolen by sea giants. With warnings from Skalti, the two set sail for the home of the giants to retrieve the stone.

With adventure and fast-paced action as in the first book of the story, TIDE STEALERS is enchanting and entertaining for all ages. With creative imagery and interesting characters, Ms. Wilkins weaves a wonderful story that will leave readers spellbound. I didn't want to put the book down until I found out if Asa and Rollo were successful in retrieving the Moonstone Star in the end.

The saga continues with SORCERER OF THE WAVES, due out at the end of July.

I got this book in a yard giveaway. I am always looking for books that I think my grandson would like. After reading this book, I want to read the whole series and give it to my grandson. I want to see how the story plays out. I love the relationship between Asa and Rollo and their special powers/giftings.

Fun series that boys should enjoy. I say "should" becuase I couldn't get my own boy to read it, but I'm sure he would have loved it if he did.
