Excellent book bought from a hospice charity bookstore. Shows you how to be creative with your breadmaker. Gives a recipe for naan dough. Something which my Panasonic breadmaker brochure in 2015 didn't have. Indeed just bought another Panasonic breadmaker and the brochure still doesn't have a recipe for naan dough. I even mix my chappati dough in my breadmaker.
Owned this book for years and it is my absolute bible. All the recipes work and I’m famous for my loaves that I take to parties. Favourites are: Black Russian bread , brioche bread (makes great burger rolls) cornbread with chillies - although I’ve tried them all at some time and never found a duff one
This is my GO-TO book for using my two bread machines. I used to use the books that came with each machine respectively (and yes, they are very different from each other)... that is, until I got this book.
Jennie Shapter did a wonderful job perfectly calculating the ingredients needed to make each of her delicious breads. I have made twelve of her recipes, and each came out just right! You would be impressed with this if you consider that if one vital ingredient was off by as little as a teaspoon full, the resulting lump of what you would get could not be considered edible. Not a problem here, she masterfully gives the ingredients for not one size loaf, but for THREE different sized loaves! Until I got this book, I didn't even realize that I could make pizza dough in my bread makers!
If you buy this book as I did, you will not be disappointed- irrespective of which brand of machine you own!
A lot of these look delicious! Except for some desserts, which I wouldn't make in a bread machine anyways, this book doesn't seem to suffer from "filler-itis"... the vast majority of the recipes made me go "Yum! I'm marking this down."
