The Auction Date
Twenty-nine year old and newly divorced Emilia is at an all time low in her life. Her best friend, Nikki, begs her to go to a breast cancer awareness auction with her. Up for auction...hot, sexy men! Emilia didn't plan to bid, but as she studied the auction pamphlet she noticed one man with greenish-brown eyes, black hair, and a smile that said it all...trouble! When he is up for auction, Emilia becomes aggressive and goes after what she wants. After hitting it off on their date, they spend a steamy weekend in the hotel together. It was a good read but the writing could have been better. Somewhere in between I got confused reading because without the context of the mentioned person, author has just mentioned "She". But overall, I liked the story and would love to know the further about the characters.

The plot: Newly divorced Emilia is dragged to a charity bachelor auction by her best friend, Nikki. Emilia has no intention on actually placing a bid until she sees David's profile – then, she has no intention on losing.
Oh, who am I kidding??? Anyone who got this book is only casually interested in how Emilia meets David. They are, however, incredibly interested in every detail in what they do afterwards – and author Anna Karam provides every detail in graphic detail.
Basically, if you're a fan of erotica, I'm sure that you will enjoy this short tale of carnal engagement – and if you're not, you'll absolutely hate it. However, I do want to give props to the author for their setting the scene beforehand. By the time Emilia and David actually meet, you know enough about her that you care about the woman and about what happens to her. Even if you skip past the bedroom exploits of the couple (in which case, you've missed out on over half the book), you care that Emilia has finally allowed someone to penetrate the shield she's built around her heart.
RATING: 4 stars.

Emilia is a woman divorced and her ex did cheat.... UGH! She is worried about the few pounds she has put on but is beautiful as ever.Her self esteem is so low and she needs a definite pick me up.
Her best friend Nikki calls her up and invites her to go away for some weekend fun. While away they will attend a charity auction for cancer. They will be bidding on MEN! A date with a hot and sexy man.
Emilia bids on the one that catches her eye and that night he texts her to meet him in the bar for a drink. It turns in to two grown adults getting tipsy and returning to Emilia's room for a HOT and STEAMY romp in the sheets.
This short story is light but with a side of mind blowing sex to go with it! Emilia and David can't get enough of one another. The passion and lust is EXCLUSIVE the entire weekend.
I would love to know if David and Emilia went beyond that weekend. ;)

Emilia a recent divorced young woman who goes to a charity auction to raise money for cancer. The only thing on the auctioning block are men. Em attends with her best friend Nikki and both women let loose. Em buys a guy and she ends up having the best sex of her life. (I am not sure that love bites is up my alley. Having a man leave my body all bruised is definitely not my cup of tea).
I liked it. The book costs $1 on Amazon.ca. But I likely will not read more books in the series. I like erotica but this one just was not my usually perference 1)reckless unsafe sex with strangers and 2)sex that leaves you marked.
But ladies this is my opinion. You may love it.

It is just what the title says it is.. a short story all about an auction date that is basically all about sex. It was a quick read and I think it couldn't have been any longer as there really isn't much of a story line beyond the weekend of lust and love. If you are looking for an erotic novella that gets the body tingling then look no further. If you are one who blushes easily and is not into the erotic scene then this may not be the best choice for you.

I don't review often but feel that honest feedback is critical for authors. The premise of this story had promise but just fell totally flat. There was no depth. It read like a first draft written off the top of your head. This happened, then this, then this. More fluff and filler would have been nice. I was ready to DNF but then realized I was almost done.

This story is crazy hot! Anna Karam is really killing it in the erotica genre! For a newer Author on the scene she writes like a seasoned pro! This story is a perfect late night read, I can't recommend it enough. Who knew an auction could be so hot? I definitely can't wait to check out more of Anna Karam's writing!

Steamy, quick read. Even though it was short the author took the time to develop the characters and the plot with a lot of thought. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed it.
