Petite sorcière mignonne à croquer, Mélusine est jeune fille au pair dans un château de Transsylvanie. La maîtresse de maison est une fantôme au sale caractère, son mari un vampire plutôt cool et le valet de pied une sorte de créature de Frankenstein à l'intellect passablement limité. Bref, rien que de très normal... Dans un univers d'épouvante parodique, Clarke et Gilson nous proposent une succession de gags rehaussés par la séduction d'une charmante héroïne.

Mignon et drôle.

Mėlusine, a student witch, gets a job as housekeeper/maid at the local haunted castle. She interacts with all sorts of supernatural creatures in all sorts of amusing ways.

Cute comic about the (mis)adventures of a 119-years-old witch. Will you believe me if I told you this comic awakened my love for witch stories, which I had completely buried down?

Anyways, about the album. I will be honest, at first I expected a single story, so I was surprised (and a little bit disappointed) when I found out that it consisted of several one-page gags. Some were funny and/or cute and some fell flat (hence, 4 stars).

I love that, despite being a series aimed at kids, it contains heavy huge of black comedy, blood, suffering, fan-service from the titular character etc. This is something I greatly enjoyed.

P/S: Cancrelune is my favorite character. It's funny, 'cause most of the time I can't stand clumsy and untalented witches as the main characters (see Mildred from "The Worst Witch", Akko from "Little Witch Academia") due to how overused they have become, but since Cancrelune is reduced to a comic-relief character, I don't mind her.

I first read these as comic strips in the original French when I was a kid. I've finally found the English issue and I finished this in one sitting.

Mélusine is from 30 years ago and still just as fun to read today. Can't wait to pick up the next few issues.

Belle reprise d'un univers sur représenté. Beaucoup de sous-entendus et de blagues à plus d'un degré. J'adore cette coloriste (Cerise), et les dessins sont particulièrement bien aussi.

Melusine ist eine huebsche junge Hexe im 2. Studienjahr, die auf einem Schloss lebt und arbeitet. Der Schlossherr ist ein schussliger Vampir, der schon mal zu Staub zerfaellt und von Melusine mit einem Zauber wiederbelebt werden muss. Seine Gemahlin ist ein Gespenst und sehr streng. Sie brummt Melusine immer die anstrengendsten Putzarbeiten auf, z.B. mit halsbrecherischer Besenflugkuer das Schlossdach abzustauben. Neben dem unbeholfenen Butler - Frankensteins Monster laesst gruessen - gibt es noch Mumien, Drachen und sonstige Gruselgestalten, mit denen sich Melusine herumschlagen muss. Bei dem Comic handelt es sich um eine Ansammlung vieler kleiner Episoden, die meines Wissen frueher in einer Zeitung erschienen sind. Sie beschreiben sehr unterhaltsam Melusines Alltag: Ihre Arbeit im Schloss, die sie meist mit kleinen Zaubertricks bewaeltigt, die aber leider nicht immer das gewuenschte Ergebnis haben. So faellt z.B. beim Entstauben eines Wandteppichs der eingewebte Drache heraus und muss wieder eingefangen werden. Ausserdem waere da noch die tolpatschige Hexenfreundin, der Melusine Nachhilfe im Besenfliegen geben muss. Oder die Besuche der Grossmutter, die meist eine Bruchlandung durch die Fenster hinlegt. Fuer Romantik sorgt ein eleganter Werwolf, der Melusine den Hof macht, und sich bei Tage in den unscheinbaren Dorftrottel zurueckverwandelt. Der Comic eignet sich bestens zum Durchstoebern und immer-mal-wieder reinschauen und amuesieren.

C’est une petite BD sympathique. Le dessin est assez simple et le format est d’un gag par page (ou deux).

On ne peut pas dire que ce soit particulièrement effrayant. Les enfants peuvent la lire sans craindre de faire des cauchemars. Toutefois, il ne faut pas négliger la double lecture de certains gags que l’on réserverait aux adultes.

Armure 3 : Moi ! J’aurais besoin d’un peu d’huile !

Mélusine est une sorcière sexy. En témoignent les dessins suggestifs et certaines poses lascives.

En dépit de sa présentation enfantine, je ne laisserai pas forcément cette BD entre toutes les mains.
