Very interesting textbook. I read this for a freshman level forensics class. A bit dense if you have no background in the forensic sciences, so it might be an easier read if you’re coming into this later in your studies. Regardless, I found it to be well organized, and according to my instructor, it was also fairly current as far as the information it presented. The text was supported with plenty of charts, graphs, and photos that fleshed out the data and gave context, which I found very helpful.
Pictures are amazing and the information is provided in an easy to read and understand format. Plus, Dr. C is one of the best lecturers I have had the pleasure of learning from.
I had to read this book for a Forensic Anthropology course and was actually happy with how well it was written. Most college text books are horrible to read, but this one was pain free. I wouldn't call it a page turner. It broke concepts into easy to read chunks and the photos were actually useful.
