The Voice in the Mirror

Rate this book
My father had replied when I asked him about the people who seemed to be unexplainable and everywhere, that, ‘the world is full of shadow men and silent organisations. It is a sign of the times we live in and the fear that goes with it.’

It took me a while to realise that I belonged to one of the silent groups and had become part of the shadows and the fear.

The ‘catastrophe’ was a magnetic flip, an extinction event, which had transformed the planet and humanity. An alteration in genetic development now divides the population; if you’re not a normal you’re a freak and not everyone is comfortable with those who are changed.

Saccharissa works as part of the team, using her difference of psychometry, the ability to get information from an object’s energy field, to help the reluctant authorities with their murderers and criminals.

However, a violent encounter with a psychopath sends Saccharissa on the underwater train to New York; a journey of discovery into her past and her father’s childhood home, which has her questioning everything she thought she knew.

The Voice in the Mirror is a science fiction adventure, it explores the fine line that exists between innocence and guilt, loss, betrayal and the true meaning of friendship.

Determined not to let her difference isolate her completely, Saccharissa uses her abilities to find answers and protect those she loves.

A rogue is a freak who is off the grid, and it’s not something she expected to see when she looked in the mirror…

I love this author, another great read, with a good range of excitement, love, sadness and humour, a real page turner, I look forward to reading more of her work.
