Peach-Pit (ピーチ・ピット Pīchi Pitto) is a female manga artist duo in Japan, made up of Banri Sendo (千道 万里 Sendō Banri) and Shibuko Ebara (えばら 渋子 Ebara Shibuko). Their group name derives from the diner hangout Peach-Pit from the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210. Although both have similar styles, with some artwork it is possible to identify which artist drew it. Both are known for their bishōjo styled works. As noted in their books, they are both Geminis and have "Almost flushed our phones down the toilet...twice."
The two of them grew up together and went to the same elementary school and have been best friends ever since. Both started as doujinshi manga artists, but not as Peach-Pit. Then they were scouted by Dengeki Comic Gao!. In 2008, one of their manga, Shugo Chara!, was awarded the Kodansha Manga Award for best children's manga. Shugo Chara was also turned later into an Anime television series.
Ahhh! The ending!! So many emotions! I still hope Ikuto is the one she ends up with, but Kairi was so brave to be the first to confess. That's kinda Amu's power, she opens hearts to love. And definitely getting exciting with intrigue about Easter and all their plans for the X eggs. And who has the embryo~? So many questions!!
Re-read 2022: Review to come. This was a fabulous volume! We have a traitor, a confession, I loved that we saw more of Utau's manager and get to know her (she doesn't seem to bad), we get an epic battle with tons of chara transformations (I had such a laugh at Yaya's and also her reaction to it), there is singing, a cute little sister who warms everyone's hearts, the prince/Tadase is cute, but I am sorry you can't just keep flirting with her and then keep telling her you are doing it for the other side of her... And there is so much more! Oh, and bonus points to what Amu did for Rima! It was a hell of a volume and I loved every bit of it!
-------------------------------
Re-read 2017: I so didn’t like Rima’s parents. No wonder Rima is acting like this, again, still not a real excuse for her bitchiness, but I can imagine that she might not be able to smile as much as she wants with those parents. Rima’s parents need to liven up a bit and see that they are hurting their daughter. I hope that they will soon see this and can be happier (or divorce if you really can’t stand each other).
Ha! Yep, the next chapter brought a nice twist (or at least for the Guardians, as they hadn’t expected this event to happen). We learn how the CDs are made, and OMG, I totally forgot they were made that way. That is so terrible. All those poor kids. Oh my, oh my, oh my, so many things are happening. I love how everyone can transform thanks to the locket, and how Ikuto and Utau can do that thanks to the key. I was so happy for Utau and also for her manager, I knew she wasn’t evil, she just needed to find her spark again. To see a better future. I am glad about Diamond too, Amu found her sparkle and I am so happy that she finally found her answer. Now it is just waiting for Diamond to come out on her own. Sometime in the future.
Kyaa, I saw it coming, but I was still delighted with what happened at the ending. Yes, there was a tinge of sadness surrounding it, but I am sure that everything will be fine in the end.
Also was that Nadeshiko? Or someone else? I am curious!
There are so many potential relationships in this series that I don't even know how to process it. This volume itself is one of the crazier ones so far. I don't understand how these fifth graders are better at this relationship stuff than my generation!
Kairi is a little... odd, but I guess his motivation is admirable. I wanted to smack him occasionally, but I get that urge at least once for most characters, so it's okay.
All the transformations are really nicely done, especially the ones we don't get to see too often (or saw for the first time). Peach-Pit is also really good at working in backstories that actually make sense for the characters, so kudos to them for that as well!
Volume 6 continues strong with the story, art, and light humor than makes Shugo Chara! such an enjoyable series to read, regardless of what seems to be a typical shoujo manga. Recommended for fans, while those curious of this series should start with the beginning.
wow : ) I really enjoyed this volume : ) so glad they got utau back to her normal self, and its sooo sweet how kairi confessed his love to amu! : ) love it : ) so sweet just like in the anime : ) and so awesome how amu finally got her guardian character Dia back and she transformed with her into amulet diamond! : ) can't wait to read volume 7 : )
These kids keep convincing evil adults to switch sides by using magic and cute outfits, and I’m here for it.
Manga • shojo • fantasy elements • light romance • large cast of characters • funny • cute
Likes: -Ikuto was in this one 🥰🐱 -The kids all band together and stand up for one another and it makes me sappy 🥹 -Everyone can character change now and it’s so cuteeeee -The guardian characters are all where they’re supposed to be -Peach-Pit is made up of 2 friends and I love their Q&A sections in the volumes-they’re always so positive and sweet
Dislikes: -There’s a budding relationship between two of the characters but he doesn’t like who she really is and that hurts my heart
"Getting hurt is not the end of it. If I have the will to try harder next time... I'll get stronger when I get hurt. People who know loss should be able to shine, too."
DAZZLE THEM AMU. We see the conclusion of the Diamond saga in this volume, and say goodbye to a friend. The romantic rivalries mount, and MY HEART CAN'T TAKE THE ANTICIPATION OF THE FUTURE!
Have we really seen the embryo? Will the humpty lock and dumpty key ever unite? WILL I EVER BE THE SAME AGAIN AFTER THIS SERIES IS OVER?!
I love this volume so much! I remember reading this when it was first being released/translated and just being so tense and excited for the numerous character arcs that are concluded in this volume. Utau, Kairi and Diamond are just so perfect in such different ways! It's always a pleasure to re-read the Black Diamond Arc! Though not at much as the next Arc with Ikuto that's teased at the end of this volume!
This one I really like, as Sanjo had become one of my favorite characters. This was a great development to round him out, as well as show two side of every story. His story of being divided between friendships, family, and his own values questioned. You can also see a change in the books at this point that things are shifting and becoming for serious and intense.
Holy crap! So many twists and turns! The action got me very hooked; I couldn't keep my eyes off the pages for a long time. And just when I thought there was a happy ending, there's more! This series is amazing!
Kairi is a jerk for still following his sisters plans even when he knows x-eggs are what make the cds. But I think it's cool how he comes to the good side! THEN CONFESSES TO AMU! WAAAAAHHHH! It's so funny when all the guys are crushing on the same girl! I'm for IKUTO though! Ikuto ROCKS! Tadase is so not my type! Kairi is cool, but I don't see him and Amu together so much. As for Rima, GO! I'm so glad she finally said something to her parents, they're locking her up and forcing her to quit groups. Seriously, you can't stop your kid's life and expect them to grow up okay. They need to learn responsibility and stability early in life! So HA! I love her transformation, it's a joker. I would so wear it, but I mainly want those boots. I also love Amulet Spade's boots, I would wear the Spade costume anyday. It's right in my style, the joker would be for halloween more...Amulet Devil, well, that costume probably is too naughty to actually be wearing. They could've done it a lot better, but they didn't of course. It's too revealing for my taste, the costume for Utau would be wearable. As for the Amulet Diamond, the outfit would be better if the boots were so big and oddly shaped and it didn't have those things coming out of the back. It would've been better if the costume would've been more like Utaus, maybe even exactly like it but opposite colors...I loved getting flashbacks of Ikuto and Utau to learn more about them. In all, storyline and most outfits awesome. I can't wait to read the next!

Amu was a great character, she was a little whiny at times but overall she was able to fight and stand up for what she believed in. I liked her relationship with everyone else.
The guardians added some comedic humor to the series and you can't go wrong with a little battle magic.
You're probably thinking, "OMG THIS IS FOR LITTLE KIDS LOL!" I'm 14 and I love this manga/anime/awesomeness to death. The love triangle is so cute. Ikuto is a sexy neko boy. <3 But... EASTER DESTROYING THE HOPES AND DREAMS OF LITTLE KIDS WAS FOR NOTHING?! D: In any case I love this. :D
