When her neighbor Kenny secretly videotapes her friends, each of whom identifies with a Disney character, as they sing, dance, and act silly at her slumber party, Isabelle resolves to force him to hand over the tape
this is cute book geared to girls around the age of 10 or so. there is a whole series about each one of the disney princesses. each girl takes on the look, name, and traits of a different princess. this book is about belle. belle hosts her first sleepover ever and wants everything to go perfect. she plans out every last detail. the night goes great and belle doesnt' think that anything could happen, until the girls hear a crash outside and find kenny, the beast, video taping their private party! the girls are really angry, especially when kenny refuses to give the tape back. can the girls pair up and find a way to get the tape back?
This one isn’t my favorite. Even though I’m an avid reader like Isabelle, I never connected with her character. She’s just too much of an airhead for someone who is supposed to be so smart! I also don’t care for the dynamic between Kenny and the girls. I feel like they overreact to a lot of his behavior, which undoubtedly makes it even worse! I can understand that impulse from Jasmine and Isabelle (only children), and Ella and Ariel (who only have sisters). But why do Paula and Yukiko let Kenny get under their skin so badly? They have brothers and should be better able to deal with his antics.
