My wife and I have been looking for good juice recipes for our blender. Our experiments have had mixed results. I downloaded this as a free book. To my surprise, it was well put together. There are explanations of the difference between juicers and blenders and juice and whole juice. The recipes are grouped in different ways (color, function, ingredient). Some areas we are both interested in where weight loss and skin health. We plan to start using them this weekend.
This is a good book for those that don't know that much about juicing. It's a great beginners book to start your road to the wonderful and healthy world of juicing. The beginners recipes in this book are great and you can continue to use them even after you are a pro at juicing. Kudos to this book and juicing!
First, I didn't realize there was a difference in making "juices" v. "smoothie". I just received a Vitamix as a gift and thought this book would be perfect, but alas, I need a smoothie book. I read the book anyway because it was interesting and was mostly a bunch of recipes. If you're into juicing, this book would be great for you!
I pretty much skimmed the intro and explanations about why juicing is good for you and jumped right to the recipes. Dialogue between characters was stilted, and the grammar mistakes were distracting. However, you are provided with some good recipes to try out.
I think adding more HEALTHY juice (veggies, veggies, veggies nit just fruit) can be really beneficial to anyone's body. There were some very simple and very interesting recipes in here and some that would make a nice refreshing treat (like the Strawberry Cherry juice, yum).
