I jumped into page layouot as an absolute raw neophyte, so when I splurged on the then-currrent edition of a "real" graphic design program, I was a lost little monkey. This book stood me on my feet, took me by the hand, and taught me how to fish. By the third lesson/project, I felt like I really knew what I was doing, and I really wish I had the time and equipment to do more with this program. An excellent teaching/training volume, and I hope their current editions are just as good if not better.
