From the Elizabethan world to which he was born, to the theorists and critics that continue to debate him to this day, this is the story of the most revered writer of all time.

A short description of the very little that's known of Shakespeare's life. A good overview!

Pleasant biography of the Bard, managing to hit the high points of his life and lay out most of the mysteries and controversies surrounding him. A very pleasant read, and provides a nice primer of a great historical figure, which is the point of the series.

The story of William Shakespeare is very intriguing and its so crazy to me how famous and how relatable his plays remain.
Listened at 3x speed and was not paying full attention due to to pain (just had an operation).

A great read.
Thoroughly enjoyed this read from beginning to end. I'd recommend this book to anyone with the slightest interest in the bard.

A well designed summary of Shakespeare's life and those who were close to him. A great introduction to the Bard and the theories of his life and works.
