I'm Ken Zeigler, author of the Tears of heaven series. I've been writing stories since junior high school; science fiction short stories mostly. I attended Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, way back when it was still called Shippensburg State College. I hold a masters degree in chemistry, and did my graduate research in quantum mechanics.... I openly profess Jesus Christ to be my personal lord and savior.
It wasn't always that way. The change in my life came about as the result of a near death experience when I was eighteen years old, during my freshman year in college. The circumstances of that experience were so remarkable that my life hasn't been the same since. Indeed, for me, the age of miracles has just begun.
I have taught chemistry, physics, and astronomy at both the high school and college level. Currently, I teach at University High School in Tolleson, Arizona. During my career in science, I've concentrated mostly on the study of asteroids, the tiny planetoids that circle the sun mainly between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. I have been an educational consultant for NASA on the Messenger Mercury Program.
I have a wife who I have been married to for 25 years. I also have two wonderful step-children. My professional writing career didn't officially begin until 1997, with the publishing of my first book; The Waters of Ulan, which was actually an off beat vampire story set in the South Pacific before World War II.
Now, I write only books with a Christian theme. Yet, I truly believe that these books will appeal to both Christians and non-Christians alike. Welcome to the new world.

I have been obsessed with this series. It's one of the smartest, most creative Christian fiction series I've ever read. The author definitely takes a lot of creative liberties and because were not told every single thing that's going to happen in the Bible, I'm ok with him speculating on how he thinks things could be. That's why I've given 5 stars to almost all the books in this series. But this one I could only give 3, not because the story wasn't compelling or interesting, but because I just had a hard time reconciling discrepancies in this book with things I believe the Bible says.

First of all, I believe there will be a huge revival/harvest of souls before the rapture. I think God will wait until the very last millisecond to give those who would, a chance to repent before He calls His children to Heaven. It's not His will that any should perish. This book states that there weren't that many that went up in the Rapture, only about 4% of the population. I personally believe there will be much more than that.

And while there will still be some who repent after the rapture during the tribulation, they will experience the worst times the earth has ever seen. This leads to my next issue: while it was cool that the left behind saints had all these cool technologies & help & they had some victories (which I believe there will be some victories for them), it seemed like they hardly suffered at all. Not that I want them to, it's just not what I feel the Bible says about that time. That's the whole point of getting right with God now so you wouldn't have to face the persecution & terror of those days. I think God will be still be merciful, but I don't think all left behind Christians will be spared all suffering.

I also don't know why there were several different mini raptures of the left behind saints after the initial rapture. I know there is high debate in the Church of whether there is a catching away before Jesus comes back to fight the armies of Armageddon pre or mid-tribulation, or whether they'll just be caught up as Jesus comes back at the end of the tribulation, but I've never heard of small groups of persecuted Christians being raptured at different times throughout the tribulation. Especially not as a rescue from execution, because it clearly states a lot of them will be martyred. I mean I believe God can do whatever He wants, but I just feel like this was weird, & it didn't seem accurate.

Also, the character David tells Tom Carson when Jesus is coming back. He tells him exactly how many days until the event & what the date is in the book. The Bible says no one knows that, not even Jesus, only the Father. David even says that as well when Tom first asks him, but then later concedes & tells him, as if he was just trying to keep the info to himself. What?

I didn't like the way the author made the two witnesses out to be either. Almost as if they were impostors trying to force the Biblical prophecies come to pass. There are more discrepancies that I can't totally reconcile with what I know about the Bible. The other books in this series definitely pushed the envelope with some of these issues but this one was worse.

Just taken as a fictional book that may be extremely loosely based on the Bible, I'm good with it. It was totally fascinating & thought provoking just like the others. But to be based on the Bible, I felt like this one, out of the whole series, just went a little too far off base on some things.

My Thoughts:

The Final Conflict: A Tale of Two Witnesses is the fifth and final book in the “Tears of Heaven” series written by Kenneth Ziegler. Zielger’s story is based on the spiritual principles and revelations recorded in the Bible.

Dark Angels, strange flying creatures with stinging tails, technology from Heaven, telepathic links, wormholes, particle weapons, microchips implanted under the skin, and extreme weather conditions are all elements that all meld together in a spellbinding story of the final days of earth.

“The Final Conflict” begins after the Rapture when those who were truly ready for God’s kingdom were taken from the earth. Now is the last chance for those remaining on the earth to escape an eternity in Hell.

David Bonner, killed September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Centre returns to earth from Heaven. Tom Carson, deceased for the past 6 years, has come back from the dead, where he was residing Hell.. Now a believer in God, Tom and David become the two witnesses prophesied in the book of Revelation.

This skillfully written story is an action-packed fantasy that brings together biblical prophecy, current events, futuristic technology, science fact and science fiction. It is sure to cause discussion and debate as Ziegler’s interpretation of the events during the end times is quite unique. One thing Ziegler makes clear in his writing though – salvation is based on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and not dependent upon one’s viewpoint of the end times. This book will make you consider whether you are ready for the last days.

Best series I've ever read!

I rated this book a five because of the intriguing writings of this wonderful author. This is the fifth book in the series and as such does an outstanding job of wrapping up all of the previous books. I would recommend this book, in fact the entire series, to anyone who is wavering in their belief in God or just needs to reaffirm their belief in heaven and hell. I sincerely thank my dear friend for recommending this series and God for guiding this author.

I liked The Final Conflict, but not as much as I liked the others, that's why it took so long to finish it. It seemed rather rushed; there were areas where it could have gone deeper into things that it just glossed over. I actually wanted to see more of Abaddon, and the Emperor Tim was just gone, with nothing said about him. Then suddenly people were being flung up out of a Sea of Fire that had kept them suffering for thousands of years and landing on an island, it just seemed like stuff was put in to make it more convenient for the story. I did like it though.

Thought provoking series

I have really enjoyed reading this series. Quite different than the "Left Behind" series but with the same purpose. To bring souls to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Thank you.

Interesting Look At The End Times

Lots of high tech, one man released from hell and one who came from heaven become the witnesses as the tribulation rolls on.

Whew! So I finally finished this last book of the epic Tears of Heaven series. The series begins pre-tribulation and ends in this book with Satan in chains in hell for 1000 years. This is a fictionalized story of Revelation, and a very good one. I haven't read anything close since the Left Behind series. This one is a little more violent and realistic, as well as being updated for our time and technology. Great series, but no beach read. It's huge!

The end is coming, are we ready?

Whether you are a believer or not, this book will certainly open your eyes. This story brought back memories of Bible stories that I heard as a child and now that I am in my twilight years it is only fitting that I read them again. Open your eyes and listen with more than your ears, it is time to take a stand!

Another great book in the Tears of Heaven series. Highly Recommend! Even in our darkest hour God answers our prayers. His plan for humanity plays out I this final installment. This is the a novel version on the telling of the events in Revelations continued from the previous book.
