I have to admit that I only skim read this book, pulling out the key concepts of this therapy. I really liked the idea of it and I used the information in this book to compile a handout for my hypnotherapy clients. The idea behind the therapy is to press pause on your imaginary remote control, allowing you thinking space to look at the consequences of your actions. So, a good example is someone who is trying to stop eating chocolate, if that person were to press the 'pause' button when they are about to head to the cupboard in the kitchen, they can then visualise the consequences of that action - the future implications of that choice, how that would make them feel etc, and then look at the alterntive behaviour and again what the consequences are for those actions. This allows them to then make a choice as to which way they will behave - either going down the same road they've gone before or taking a new road of opportunity and happiness.
