When writing about southern Louisiana, Cajuns, and the bayous, it's from real life. Terrebonne Parish will always be home even though GiGi now lives in Maryland via twelve years along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Writing is something she always kept private because she was teased as a child for having a wild and vivid imagination. She wrote her first "book" at nine years old, which consisted of 4 handwritten sheets of paper stapled together: crayon-colored cover included. Having earned a B.A. from the University of Alabama in Criminal Justice and then added a Master's in Criminal Justice from Capella University, that imagination is now even wilder! Married to her very own Prince Charming and living happily ever after for more than twenty years, she designs happily-ever-afters for the characters she calls her imaginary friends.
Nik and Tanner were so much fun to write. There were days I laughed to the point of tears. I loved their story. There is something really sexy about a man who just knows he loves you and knows that you have to love him, too. I really like Nik as a character. She's flawed, she's a bit insecure and yet she's a very strong woman. She's the perfect match for Tanner!
Just when you think GiGi Duvall has written the best couple ever, along comes Tanner and Nik! I absolutely loved their story. They way Tanner was so sure from page one that Nik was for him was not the usual way of romances, so it made the story even more fun. Especially when Tanner would try to force Nik into marrying him! I laughed a lot and loved a lot.
I don't think the chemistry between Nik and Tanner can get any hotter. I absolutely loved their love scenes. This book was staged in a way to keep feeding my curiosity for more. I recommend this book. Matter of fact, I highly recommend Gigi Duvall. She writes stories that make you keep coming back.
Very interesting series of books!! Hot alpha males who will do anything to get the women they want!! Hot!!! I think the author was thinking about the fourth book while she was writing the first!! Very well done!!! Love the whole group!
Absolutely loved Nik and Tanner!!!!!!!!! Tanner was the player, he was supposed to be the one running from love and marriage. What a charming surprise to find he was the one madly in love. In the second book, I decided I liked Nik, so I hoped her tough girl tude wouldn't be watered down in this book. So happy to see Nik was Nik and she went so well with Tanner. And absolutely love, love, that he calls her Sugar.
I love, love, love that the books are not only part of a series but have a soap opera feel to them. I really enjoyed the story of Tanner and Nik. They were a lot of fun, whether they were with friends, fighting bad guys, or making love. I laughed out loud a lot. I also like how Gigi Duvall isn't afraid to give a main character some sort of "problem" that becomes part of the story. Since the second book, we've been hearing about Nik's bad driving and it was great to see that as part of the story for Nik. I can't wait for the next book!
