USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy returns to the tantalizing world of Club Sin in an enticing novel of control and surrender.

Porter Marshall has nearly achieved his goal of becoming a Club Sin Master, but his new sub poses a much bigger challenge than he anticipated. Despite their mutual attraction and red-hot dungeon sessions, Kenzie Hart plays her own games. Her bratty, you-can’t-break-me attitude masks terrible personal hurt—pain that only the exquisite touch of a skilled Dom can release. But when Porter suggests taking their connection to the outside world, Kenzie denies him . . . which only makes him want her more.

Kenzie can’t ignore the raw, fierce bond she has with Porter. But she can’t give in to his dangerous demands, either. Is the passion they share real, or is he using her to solidify his status at Club Sin? And yet, who else can she trust with the shattering secrets she holds within? As Porter expertly brings her to the point of no return, Kenzie surrenders her body—and, piece by piece, her heart.

Tamed is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

Kenzie Hart apointed herself the brat of Club Sin long ago. Playing the bratty sub helps her get what she needs in the club while keeping her emotional distance. Kenzie has been burned by love one too many times and she is determined to keep everyone out. Not allowing anyone to dominate her body and soul seems like a good way to ensure that. But can she keep Porter Marshall out for the whole month she agreed to play his sub?

Porter Marshall has always liked Kenzie's spirit. What many other Doms found frustrating and more than a little annoying he found amusing. Now he gets to play with her for a whole month during which he needs to tame the little helion if he wants to aquire the Club Sin's Master title and Porter very much wants to. But from the first scene with Kenzie he realises that the little brat hides much more inside her and what she hides he wants. But can he peal the layers of defenses she has surrounded herself with to find the real woman underneath? Will she allow it?

I admit I requested this book out of mild curiosity for the series but I'm glad I did because I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is an erotic romance so there is plenty of sex but not as much as one would think for the genre and the sex was actually pretty mainstream. The real BDSM scenes were two or three in the book but they were well written and fun to imagine.

I also liked both Kenzie and Porter as characters. Kenzie with her bend but not broken psyche and much more stubborness than necessary and Porter with his self-assuredness and protective streak worked well together. They complimented each other. Especially when Kenzie shed some of her walls and let the free-spirited, fun-loving and sweet girl she really was, peak out.

Another thing I approved of was the "trouble" Kenzie was in and how it was handled. It gave the book an air of danger and excitement that would be lacking if it focused only on the couple and didn't give us some kind of story. Also the girl owned a bookstore and loved to read. She could basically be my best friend just based on this.

The one grey spot was the writing. Something bugged me about the author's style, although nothing glaringly obvious, the book didn't have page after page of typos, or words that didn't make sense or anything. There was just something I didn't find quite delightful. Not enough to ruin the book for me but enough to make me take notice.

Kenzie Hart is a woman who has had much loss in her life. She holds herself strong on the outside, never letting people in completely. To let them in would for sure bring heartache. Kenzie is a submissive and is found a place, a BDSM club called Club Sin, where there are others who are like her. The problem with Kenzie is that she is a Brat and pushes the limits with all the Doms in a less than respectable fashion. No one really likes to play with her. It isn't until an agreement is made with Porter Marshall, who is trying to become a Club Master, that Kenzie may have met that someone who sees into the woman that she tries so hard to hide.

This is a story of learning to trust, learning to let go and learning to love. How when you meet the right person, no matter the odds, it can open you up to be the person you should be.

I loved the dual POVs in the story. I will say that both Kenzie and Porter were not the best communicators. Both shying away from love yet both feeling the intense chemistry they have, they never share with one another. Eventually Kenzie comes clean about the trouble she is facing. Porter takes charge and shows Kenzie that she can trust him, that there are those who love her and will be there for her. Kenzie just has to take a leap of faith. Porter begins to have real feelings for Kenzie. He doesn't want the arrangement as her Dom for just a month to end. He wants it to continue but can Kenzie learn to trust him, can he break down that wall she has around herself, can she let her heart love again?

I enjoyed getting to know the community within Club Sin. There were bits and pieces of the other Doms and submissives and their close bond. I look forward to reading about each of the Doms and the submissives they find. This was the first book I read in the series and the author gave enough information about the others that I was comfortable reading. I would also categorize this as BDSM-Light.

4 "Taming via Care" Stars! I have read all of the full-length novels in the Club Sin Series and Stacey Kennedy never ceases to amaze me. Her attention to the psychology behind the BDSM lifestyle, and her delicious alpha heroes, who always know just how to protect and take care of their woman, always manages to provide for an addictive, provocative read.

While the Club Sin Series can be read on a stand-alone basis, given each focuses on the love story of a different couple, the characters from prior stories do continue to make an appearance in subsequent books. Thus if you plan to read the entire series, and I highly recommend you do, then they are best enjoyed in order.

Kenzie, the heroine from Tamed has been an interesting spitfire in prior books. Constantly challenging the Doms of Club Sin with her "bratty" behavior, she is more than a handful. So needless to say I have been eagerly awaiting her love story for some time now, as I just knew that it would have to take a special Dom to finally "tame" and capture her heart.

Porter, in turn, played a substantial role in Book 3, Desired, as he is the ex-boyfriend of Ella, the heroine of that book (which by the way features the scorching hot story of Kyler, who I have coined "The Perfect Dom", and which made my top favorites list)! You definitely don't want to miss Desired if you have not yet had the pleasure of experiencing that story.

The only thing that stands between Porter, and his goal of becoming a Club Sin Master, is Kenzie. Porter has known Kenzie for years, as they were both members of another BDSM club in the past, but he has never previously gotten that close to her. Preferring to keep her distance, Kenzie has some unusual hard limits, such as no aftercare or touching allowed following a play session, making getting close to her difficult. Now, however, Porter has been given a deadline--30-days--to do what no Dom has previously been able to do: get through to Kenzie and claim her true submission. If he can manage to do what no other Dom has been able to, then Porter will be able to attain the much coveted status of Club Sin Master.

Interestingly though, what starts as part of a challenge, soon becomes so much more. Even though Kenzie fights him every step of the way, Porter is determined to get to know Kenzie on a personal level, so that he can better care for her as her Dom. The closer they get, the more undeniable their connection and passion becomes.

Soon even Kenzie finds it difficult to keep the much needed distance that she craves. A need fed by a bad past and significant trust issues, and knowing that their arrangement is only for a month, making it even more difficult to allow herself to open up. When external forces surface though, and Porter gets a whiff that Kenzie may be in physical danger, he refuses to take no for an answer. While Kenzie is used to taking care of herself, she may have finally found a situation that she can't handle on her own, and Porter's insistence to help only confuses her more. Just what is it that Porter is after? Taming her so he can gain the Club Sin Master status, or something much more personal and which she never dreamed of having?

Interestingly, I had a completely different vision in store for Kenzie's and Porter's story, but Ms. Kennedy completely surprised and left me with the usual warm and fuzzy feeling with the alternate direction she took this story in. Knowing what a contradictory nature Kenzie had, I expected Kenzie's Dom to be ultra-Dominant, but in fact it's tenderness--something Kenzie hasn't experienced much of--that is ultimately the way to her submission. If you enjoy BDSM romances and protective alpha heroes, then I highly recommend that you read Tamed and the entire Club Sin Series!

And for those of you who prefer to listen, then I have some very exciting news. Stacey Kennedy has confirmed that the Club Sin Series is being made into audiobooks! I can't wait to go back and listen to this fantastic series to get to experience it all again!

DNF at 63%. No rating

description

After several weeks now, I know how ... I just put this as "Read" and that's it. I quit.

I try to not DNF books in general and especially ARC because I think it's a great opportunity when you are given a book to review. I love to give my opinions on what I liked and why I liked a book and so I try as much as possible to end book even if I don't like them.

In this case, maybe it would have been better to have read all the books in this series before this one.
Normally the books in this series are considered as stand-alone but from the beginning I felt I probably missed something with Porter and Kenzie. I'm sure they made appearances in the previous books and so maybe we get to understand both better with their actions,... I thought I would have more background to why they are attracted to each other but after 63% I have nothing. Their sex scenes bothers me and I couldn't care less if these two understand each other at the end.

description

Another problem is also Porter's dominant side... I'm sorry to say I haven't really seen it at the point and well for those kinds of books, it's a pity.

****Full Review****

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Kenzie's life has known a lot of loss and because of this she likes to keep people at a certain distance. She also craves the strong touch of a Dominant male, as long as she is in control of what is happening in the scene. This contradiction in her personality earns her the label of brat and being known as a difficult sub at Club Sin. When Porter is up to be tested so he can earn the title of Master, Kenzie is assigned to him for the month; if he can dominate this sub he'll have earned his stripes. However, when these two begin to play Porter doesn't react to Kenzie's antics the way she expects or wants him to. Porter is surprised to find out Kenzie has a soft side to her personality, one only he brings out. Porter just might be the one to give Kenzie what she needs instead of what she wants and with not only past emotional issues to deal with, an alleged member of the Russian mob is trying to strong arm Kenzie into selling her bookstore to him. Whether she is prepared for him or not a dominate male in her corner is just what Kenzie's needs.

This is the fifth book in the Club Sin series but it definitely works as a standalone as the story between the main couple is fresh and new. Past characters pop in and out and are fantastic in supportive roles to the leads. This is the way series books should utilize past characters and be written; I never felt overwhelmed or confused with past stories and became interested enough in past characters to want to check out their books. The battle of wills between Porter and Kenzie is the meat of the story; the suspense arc is clearly there to force them together outside of the club. A casino developer wants Kenzie to sell him her bookstore so he can build a casino on the block and starts to up his intimidation game as she refuses each time. Porter steps in to protect her from goons and utilizes his P.I. business and experience to get the possible Russian (those Russians are very popular right now in the romance genre) mobster casino developer off her back. This suspense arc takes up a lot of the story, so much so I would consider this a romantic suspense with a heavier toned sensual sexual side. From the description and series I thought BDSM aspects would be the star of the show but until the ending actual BDSM scenes were pretty scarce.

Both Kenzie and Porter are good characters but were mellow enough to lack the spark that could make them memorable. Kenzie's "I can't love you because people in my life have died" insistence veered toward overly dramatic as I understood she was scared to get close to people but going on about how no one else could possibly understand her pain or fear was a bit special snowflake. Kenzie did stay true to her character throughout the book and I did believe in her gradual growth and change, which made her a solid character. Porter was a wonderful Dominate and understanding match for Kenzie, he pushed her in ways that made her figure it out for herself but always knowing he was there to support her. Again, he never quite breaks free of common characteristics of dominate males but he definitely provides a firm presence as a character. Together they work and play off of each other incredibly well, as the reader I completely believed in the realness of their relationship, even if it all comes about a smidge swiftly.

Overall, I easily enjoyed Kenzie and Porter's journey, the suspense plot is quick and not overly complicated while the emotional aspect will tug you in enough to root for Porter to break down Kenzie's barriers. The essence of this story is mostly about being lucky enough to find the right person who you just click with while also enhancing and allowing you to be yourself. If looking for a contemporary with some suspense and with more of a sexual bite, then Tamed would be a good pick.

The fifth installment of the Club Sin series brings us Kenzie & Porter. Kenzie is the sub with sass that no Dom has tamed. From the outside it appears that she enjoys pushing the limits just to reap the punishments but that that is about to change when she is paired with Porter for a month.

Porter isn’t new to the scene, but he hasn’t been at Club Sin long enough to become a Master without first proving himself. In order to achieve the coveted spot, he must play with Kenzie for the next thirty days to show the other club Masters that he has what it takes.

Both Porter & Kenzie have known each other for years but this is the first time they’ll be playing. The sexual attraction and chemistry ignites as these two have their first scene. But Porter wants nothing but full submission from Kenzie. He isn’t going to let her sass get in the way of his mission.

But in order to gain her full trust he must first break down her walls. Slowly we learn that there is far more to the sassy sub than we ever thought before. As she comes into a situation that forces her to finally ask for help, she learns that letting go and letting people in might just be what sets her free.

I was so excited for this story. Over the course of the last four books we’ve been shown some sides of Kenzie that made you wonder what else was going on in her little head. She was sassy & spunky, but as the pieces of her past fall into place you realize that the walls she constructed served a purpose. Not a single Dom ever tried to knock them down until Porter came along.

It was fantastic seeing Porter front and center. Just as the prior Heroes before him, he was not only the perfect Dom but gentle when he needed to be. I loved reading his interactions with Kenzie and his method of play when it came to getting her to submit.

I can’t say that these two are my favorite couple, but they certainly hold their own.

Stacey Kennedy does an absolute fantastic expanding this series. When so many BDSM themed books hit the shelf, it was difficult to find something that stood out, Club Sin does. She’s kept the story lines fresh and the characters each have their own specific story to tell, nothing seem recycled or over used.

If you enjoy a good companion series that falls into BDSM (nothing too heavy) then I really recommend you check this series out. I will be sad to say goodbye to these characters once the series is wrapped up but looking forward to what Ms. Kennedy has in store for us with her future books.

In TAMED we get the smart mouthed proud to be bratty sub vs the caring and patient Dom. Kenzie is a submissive used to getting what she wants by goading the Doms who play with her and thereby getting the pain of punishment that she desires. Kenzie wants no real ties to any one Dom because she doesn't want to fully submit to anyone especially outside of a scene. She doesn't even want the aftercare that most would enjoy and see as necessary comfort. However, Kenzie meets her match when she agrees to act as Porter's submissive for a month.

Porter knows Kenzie from a previous club and has watched her somewhat defensive submission to previous Doms. Porter recognizes the signs of some sort of emotional pain that Kenzie is attempting to hide by proudly presenting the facade of the bratty and sarcastic sub who only wants quick, intense, and strings free play. Porter is not taking what Kenzie is dishing out and sets the tone for how he will interact with Kenzie from their very first session together. Kenzie figures out pretty quickly that her usual tricks and borderline insulting attitude isn't going to work with Porter. Porter proves to be more than Kenzie bargained for when she discovers that he is going to use patience, more tenderness than she wants, along with a steadier and stronger will than she has dealt with before to gain her submission. What Porter wants from Kenzie is true submission that is completely given and Kenzie hasn't been willing to give that to anyone.

TAMED is a quick erotic read and a nice addition to the Club Sin series. Although Kenzie is a little hard to like when she's acting out the way that she does, Porter's devotion to giving her what she needs to heal instead of what she demands to temporarily soothe her pain was nice to see unfold.

Tamed by Stacey Kennedy is the 5th book in the Club Sin series. This one features Porter and Kenzie. Porter is assigned to work with Kenzie as his Sub for the next month. He’s working to earn Master status in the Club and Kenzie has always been the bratty/difficult Sub. His task is to gain her submission. It started out good but it wasn’t long before Kenzie’s inner monolog began to irritate me. She’s supposed to be this strong woman but really she’s not at all. She lives her life wallowing in the heartache of the past. She focuses on everything negative until it begins to eat away at her. I can’t stand characters like that. She acted out in the Club as a way of getting what she needs to blur the memories from her mind.

Kenzie’s attitude and actions annoyed me. I found her to be childish and immature for the bulk of the book. Her inner voice just was so tedious I couldn’t wait for the book to end. I mean, grow up already and see a therapist if you can’t put the past where it belongs and get beyond it. There was definite progress in the end but, by then I was just so over it.

Plot wise, it was okay. I found it to be over the top and not quite believable. I never forgot I was reading a work of fiction. The story just didn’t hold my attention or really interest me at all. The characters and their actions didn’t ring true to me. The romance felt manufactured and a little melodramatic. The whole book just fell flat for me. I lost complete interest about halfway through and had to force myself to finish it. The end was an improvement but that didn’t make up for the majority of the book.

Loved this! Great story that is sexy and sweet!

Kenzie is so complicated and challenging and I loved learning all the details about her past that made her choose to be the way she was. She's normally so bratty and I loved seeing a different side of her. Porter was awesome, I loved how caring and protective he was of her. They had great chemistry and heat and I loved how their relationship built and developed. Kenzie and Porter had a great push and pull with one another. There was a lot of emotional moments and and intensity for Kenzie and I love the feelings it elicited from me. Loved their heat and how their D/s relationship played out – super hot but also loving!

I liked seeing all the other Club Sin members and couples, that was fun. I really liked that there was a bit more of Sawyer and am excited about his book and what could happen with him and Chloe. He's always fascinated me so I loved getting more of his voice.

I felt the pacing was really good. I really loved the elements of drama and suspense mixed in, I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. This was dual POV like the other books in the series and I think the author does a really great job giving each character distinct voices. Great ending, it was full of heat and major intensity but incredibly sweet as well. Loved the epilogue, I got all teary eyed.

Loved the overall story, the characters, and build. The perfect amount of heat, emotion, and intensity. I am definitely a Club Sin fan! Kenzie and Porter are perfect together.

This was the first book from this series that I have read. My reading of this book was not effected by not reading the previous books.
I liked that, even though the story was BDSM club orientated, this book was more than just sex. I will definitely be going back to read the other books in this series.

Another great Club Sin book. Porter has some serious patience for dealing with Kenzie. I'm glad Kenzie told him what was going on and didn't drag it out for most of the book. Now I can't wait for Sawyer and Chloe's book.

With each book in Stacey Kennedy’s Club Sin series I become more enamored with the characters and this author. I love the way the club masters and the submissives have all formed a bond, a family of sorts and the way they protect and help each other no matter what. In this book Dom Porter Marshall has agreed to master Club Sin submissive and resident brat Kenzie Hart for one month and if he proves he can cure her of her bratty ways he will become a Club Sin Master. An emotional journey brought upon by one man’s absolute focus to understand a woman no one has been able to reach made this book one of the most powerful books in this exceptional series.

I’ve admired Porter since the second book in this series when he helped his ex-girlfriend/submissive find happiness with her current Dom. I really respected that he wanted her happy and healthy. I continued to be impressed by him from the first moment he took control of Kenzie because it was obvious he had watched her enough with the other Doms at the club and he was bound and determined to break through her bratty shell.

I always found Kenzie kind of interesting but I’ll be the first to admit her bratty behavior kind of bugged me, so I was all for someone trying to break her of it. As her back story began to unfold it became obvious that the face she puts on at the club is much different from the real Kenzie; the one that has lost so much in her life.

I was absolutely fascinated by Porter’s tactics with Kenzie and how hard it was for her to maintain her control under his dominance. The fact that he did things she didn’t expect, that he used a very unusual strategy when the scened together and for punishment really impressed me and of course confused the hell out of her. I also loved that he admired her spunkiness, even found some of her bratty behavior amusing, but knew it was a mask and he had to get through to the real her.

While I admired Kenzie’s independence, but I hated the stubbornness that caused her to refuse to be truthful with Porter or any of the other Club Sin doms or her submissive friends when she was facing something alone that no one should face alone. Thankfully Porter proves to her she can not only trust him but that he will be there for her. While they face a dangerous situation their lives become more intertwined and they both begin to have feelings that go beyond the D/s relationship they share at the club but their baggage keeps them from facing up and admitting the truth.

There’s nothing better than two people breaking down barriers and discovering a love neither one expected. With elements of danger, some emotional breakthroughs, some tenderness, a few well written BDSM scenes, and some spectacular sexy time Tamed is another fantastic addition to this series.

I sometimes just want to escape what can be a humdrum existence but never as much as the characters that visit Club Sin seem to. These books always seem to feature complex characters looking for something and finding it through intimacy. Letting go and just embracing new sensations seems like such a simple thing but what happens if you are hiding a deep pain and the only recourse you have is to hide your feelings? In this story we meet Kenzie who is a natural submissive and yet she pushes all the buttons of the Masters at Club Sin in order to feel more and more pain. Terrified of letting someone in Kenzie hides her innermost self but that's about to be tested when she agrees to one month of intense bonding with Porter a trainee Master at the club.
Porter has known Kenzie a long time and yet does anyone really know her? He hasn't "played" with her before but her reputation as a brat challenges his inner most dominant nature to truly push her and find out why she acts the way she does. She may seek pleasure and pain but Porter wants her to truly experience the freedom that only comes with complete release of control. Surrender has never been an option for Kenzie but Porter takes her out of her comfort zone until the only thing left is feeling.
This was an unusual twist on the usual BDSM stories around as we get to see a lot of what happens in the characters day to day lives and I liked that. Too often this sort of book just teases with lots of hot dungeon scenes and if honest I want more. These characters are more than just sexual partners they have deep needs but I'm not sure if Kenzie felt realistic to me. She acts out a little too much which made her position as a natural submissive questionable . I did enjoy the plot that was interwoven into this story and it was lovely to see Porter ride to her rescue! Oh and the final dungeon scene was completely different to others I've read so kudos for that Ms Kennedy. I wanted to like Kenzie more and as for Porter? Yes he s in control but he puts her pleasure first and what really worked was the fact that when together he was completely one hundred percent invested in Kenzie.

Each time I read one of The Club Sin series books, I just grow more and more in love with them. This is the story I've been waiting for since the beginning of the series. Kenzie is a submissive but she's sassy and bold which gets her into major trouble with her Doms. She's a sub that has yet to be controlled. All that changes with Porter. If he can tame her, he'll be able to obtain master status in Club Sin, which is what all Dom's aspire to. These two characters meet their match with one another, continuously butting heads. Kenzie refuses to let anyone in, always keeping her distance from those that should be like family in the club and Porter is the first to tempt her to lose all control. To want more than pain and pleasure but open herself to the possibility of being loved. Her past hurts her, haunts her and Porter muddles her brain fiercely.

Oh my gosh this was just so good!!! I wanted them to get together so badly. I've loved Kenzie and Porter since they were both first introduced in the series. There was drama, there was sex, there was heat. Everything I've come to expect from this series. Kenzie pushes Porter's buttons at every possible opportunity. She refuses to trust, to let anyone help her, even when she so desperately needs it. Porter starts worming his way into her heart and mine. I loved this book and I'm so sad that the next book is the last because each time one comes out, I devour them the same day they hit my kindle. Stacey Kennedy has a fan for life.

In this latest BDSM romance from the Club Sin series, Porter finally gets a chance to have Kenzie right where he wants her as she agrees to be his submissive for a month, part of proving his rightful status as a Club Sin Master. But beneath Kenzie's bratty exterior beats the heart of a wounded woman, one Porter wants to help heal. Will he be able to break through Kenzie's shell and prove to her that they belong together?

I'm not sure that I've ever been able to say this about a BDSM story before, but I actually thought this was one of the sweetest romances I've read lately! Porter treats Kenzie with such loving and gentle affection that it brings out her true nature, the wonderful friendly woman that she really is when she isn't rebelling against a Dom - her defensive gesture against revealing too much of herself. Their sex scenes together are still erotic and emotional but with a gentler touch - at least until Kenzie submits body and soul to Porter. The secondary characters, familiar faces from previous Club Sin stories add to the dynamics and plot of the story and there is a suspense subplot that adds tension and drama into the mix. I loved everything about this story. 5 stars for a riveting and sensual read.

I liked the fact that in this book the usual angst towards the end of the book is missing. Master Porter and Kenzie worked things out in a way that made things easy and I would have preferred instead of taking the hard way. Their relationship is lovely, but I would have liked it more if they expressed their feelings more and the epilogue was more extended showing us more of their lives together.

In Tamed we were teased about the couple of Stacey Kennedy's upcoming novel in the Club Sin series named Commanded. I am curious about how things are going to work out between Sawyer and his lady. I am not sure how they are going to make it, but I know that I will read a good book.

I always like to read what happens to the couples from the other books and I am happy we got to see at least some of them and how they are doing.

Dom Porter gets assigned the one sub he hasn´t scened with yet, bratty Kenzie.
What he never expected was how he would react to her submission, or how she´s bend to his will. What will happen when their month together is up?
Kenzie´s always found her outlet in the pain and getting the response she wants by being impossible, but this Dom doesn´t do what she´s used to. She´s not responding like her usual self, either. But this is just an obligation for him, right? Nothing could come from this?
Then she´s threatened, and all bets are off..
Great lovestory a la BDSM, the Dom and the sub that fits perfect together in all their imperfectness *happy sigh* Loved it! Smutty fluff, dominance and romance in a great combo.

Stacey Kennedy nailed it with this book. I knew this was going to be a great book, but it was freaking amazing. Honestly, this is my favorite book in the series by far.

(3.5) It was a short, quick read and I was happy with that because it was my least favorite of the series. The drama throughout the book was just too much and felt forced and a little immature at times for me. Porter was a great lead, but for me Kenzie didn't do anything as a the female lead to prove herself deserving of Porter. I can deal with bratty, but she didn't even come across as that for me and I think that is what rubbed me the wrong way one too many times.

I've been waiting for this book since I started reading the Club Sin series. Kenzie was so funny and was a such a naughty submissive in the previous books that I knew her book would be fun. And I couldn't wait to meet the Dom who would finally be her match!

In all the previous books, Kenzie was so spunky and sassy and it seemed like she loved being disobedient. But as I got to know her in THIS book, I started to like her less and less. She had so much trauma when she was younger. I mean, I couldn't believe she survived. She did though and now she's all jacked up in her head. She keeps everyone at a distance and doesn't trust anyone. She knows (from her childhood) that love and trust can be used as a weapon to hurt you and she feels like she's been hurt enough. My problem was pretty specific. When she's threatened by a Russian mobster-type guy, she still kept it to herself. Now this isn't a issue with letting people too close or getting her heart broken. This is about whether or not she's going to be fricking murdered. Come on! Even if she didn't think that the police could help her, it was just straight stupidity to not discuss it with friends. If nothing else, wouldn't you want someone to know that there might be foul play? Common sense here, people! As Kenzie continues through the events of the book, she gets better at trusting and allowing people to help her so I made my way back to liking her eventually. But it changed my opinion of her and I ended up just liking her, instead of being ready to love her, like I was at the start of the book.

Porter was pretty cool. He's a private investigator and I think I like that as a profession for a hero because it can allow him to be as bad ass as the author wants him to be. He can be a rough and tumble bad boy or he can be a guy who just wants to get justice for people who the law was unable to help. I think that Porter fell right about in the middle between those two types of private investigator. He had a little bad ass to him but he was really all about righting wrongs. Also, Porter is one of those sly rich guys. Like, no one really knows how rich the hero is. I don't really love this kind of rich guy because I feel like its a little bit of a short cut. A deus ex machina, if I want to sound a little pretentious. You know, he's rich because the story needs him to be rich so he can solve this problem that can only be solved with a judicious application of cash. Despite that, I really liked Porter because he was so kind and caring. I also liked that he wanted to get to know Kenzie better but he knew she would make it difficult for him so he got creative. He tried to do the opposite of what she thought he'd do. It's this crazy little circle but I liked it! It was difficult for him to get through to her but it was worth it to see him breaking down her walls.

Kenzie and Porter had chemistry but Kenzie was previously so spunky that she had chemistry with everyone. Here, I felt like Porter worked very hard to make sure Kenzie saw and acknowledged their chemistry instead of dismissing it as solely sexual in nature. I was rooting for Porter to get through to her and I got frustrated that she seemed to only push him away. On the other hand, I could see her side of it too. Porter never really said the things that Kenzie needed to hear so that she could relax around him. It always sounded like duty as opposed to any real feelings that he might have had for her. I was glad when they finally started to get on the same page.

Although this is Book 5 in the Club Sin series, I feel like this could be read as a stand alone. But I think that readers who start this series with this book will not really see Kenzie as she was meant to be seen. I was glad that I got a chance to see her as the light-hearted brat before getting into all of her issues in this book. The Sexy Time is hot and plentiful throughout the book but there is very little BDSM until the very end of the book - like the last 5% of the book! LOL! Anyone expecting a BDSM-heavy book will be sorely disappointed. It didn't bother me at all though - it only surprised me. I ended up really enjoying this book and I loved the journey that Kenzie and Porter went on together. It was difficult and painful and definitely had me a little misty eyed at some points! Overall, this was a good book and I would recommend it to anyone who is already a fan of this series.

Title: tamed
Author: Stacey Kennedy
Publisher/Year: Random House 3/10/15
Length: 239 Pages
Series: Club Sin #5

Overview

My Thoughts

Finally - we get to see kenzie's story and then see how it intertwines with Porter since that's already been set up for us. We all know and love Kenzie to be the bratty sub who gives doms a hard time, but clearly there's something behind that which makes her who she is. It's Porter who's job it is to figure out how to get through to her, partially because as a Dom he should but partially because that's just who he is.

In Porter's quest to be name a full master at the club, he's taken on Kenzie for a month, and his personality is to go into it with the best of intentions. We learn quickly on that he's actually quite taken with her and has been for a while, but just never went there since he's not really interested in taking on a sub that's mouthy.

If that weren't enough of a story line to keep us interested, to see who breaks first, there's the added tension and anxiety that comes from a man who's bought the block that Kenzie's bookstore and apartment are on so that he can build a casino and he's trying to strong arm Kenzie into selling so he can have the space. Mind you, that's not something that she's open to as both belonged to her grandmother, the woman who raised her, and she needs to keep that one last great memory alive.

We see Kenzie get threatened and attacked and living her life in fear because she's afraid to let anyone in to help her. It's because Porter is so in tune with how she behaves that he notices something is wrong and pushes her. We come to learn that the man who's threatening her is untouchable by police and that he manages to get off of anything that's brought against him.

It's Porter and Sawyer who come to her aide, however what keeps coming back to Kenzie is that they are helping because they have to as Doms, not because they want to help her for her. So that's the round and round that we go on this one that keeps us interested.

The nice thing about this couple is that from what we know from previous installments is that Kenzie loves pain and needs it to get off. Porter however pushes her so far that we see that maybe that's not what she needs and he takes another approach. Seeing how masterful he is at this makes you so excited to see what's next. The writing here is so vivid and exciting and i think that's part of what carries us through it so quickly.

So much to wonder about in this book 5 both with relationships with kenzie and Porter and the broader D/s relationships, It's a nice family that we're seeing come together here and i think that there are just a few more masters left for us to meet to have everyone's stories complete.

REVIEW:
I’m a long time fan of Stacey Kennedy and her Club Sin series is so very addicting,, she creates such amazing connections between her two leads in ever book, I can never get enough. I was extremely excited for this book because it focuses on the toughest and probably most damaged of the submissive. I didn’t know if I was going to like Kenzie, but I was intrigued by why she was the way she was, I knew she had to have something bad happened to her but it wasn’t what I thought. There were a ton of surprises and I was so pleased Kennedy chose Porter; he’s been a favorite of mine since Cora’s story.

Tamed follows Kenzie Hart, known for her bratty and rude behavior towards all doms in club sin, she is not an easy one to handle. But when Porter Marshall is paired with her for one month, she is challenged by the dom in more ways that one. He knows how to handle Kenzie, his patients and understand of her drives her crazy, both good and bad. And when her life outside of the club gets a bit dangerous, he comes to her aid as well as tries to heal old wounds. But will Kenzie let go of her past and her stubbornness and let Porter truly dominate her, or will Porter move on after one month?

Kenzie has always interested me from the first time she was introduced. I thought she was a little nutty, after reading about her love for picking on doms and enjoying pain so much. But in Tamed I was happy to see that she didn’t need intense scene to feel passion, she needed someone who could show her true intimacy and care. I also was intrigued to find out that in her life outside the club shes a book owner who truly loves her store. Someone who loved her gave the store to her and she would do anything to protect it. Porter is someone who matches Kenzie so well and I love how they connected so perfectly.

Porter isn’t a club master just yet, he has to earn that status and has to do so by being challenged with the most difficult submissive. But Porter has watched Kenzie, he knows what she enjoys and that she knows she’ll get what she wants from her doms, but Porter wont allow that. He doesn’t punish her for her rudeness the normal way, he takes away what she feels she needs and shows her what she actually needs. I loved this guy, he was so freaking patient and attentive, he figured out Kenzie and worked with her even though she tries to defy him so much.

Overall this was one of my favorites because it focused so much on Kenzie discovering herself not as a submissive but as a person who can finally let someone care for her. Kenzie was so tough on herself but when all she needed was to be understanding and connection. The side story of her business being in danger added to the intense connection she and Porter shared and built on. The readers will also be happy to see the past couples’ stories also progressing. I love revisiting them all and seeing how they have moved forward. In the end I cant wait to see whats next for all the couples but what Kennnedy is going to write for Sawyer who is the final Dom in the series.

Kenzie Hart is bright, beautiful , sassy and strong submissive at Club Sin, though considered to be a freind to all at the club she has earned herself a reputation as being a Brat and she relishes in it. For Kenzie being a brat gets her just what she wants, her bratty behavior with the Dom's generally yields her punishment quickly with no chance for emotional bonds to be formed and further prevented by one of her hard limits being no aftercare the last thing Kemze wants is an emotional bond with anyone, those only lead to pain of the heart and that's he has had enough to pasta lifetime of.

Porter Marshall, a newer Dom at Club Sin wants his master status but to get it he will have to scene with Kenzie or a month, so it is important to gain her trust, he has spent time observing her and noted how she uses her sass and bratty behavior to push the doms into rushing a scene and punishing her andherdaughter respects her strength but he needs her to submit to his dominance if he is to get his master status. So he sets his mind to not letting her push him and finds during their first scene her bratty behavior only endears her to him more and he comes away wanting more instead if being done with her.

Kenzie, likes Porter but he challenges her resolve to no one her emotions or heart become involved and has her submitting far too easily . Yes she is a submissive , but she desires the pain I helps her scape the pain and ghosts of her past, but as new challenge enters her livened emotional countenance suffers and Porter being a very observant and caring Dom ,takes note and his protective instincts kick in , but beside that he has come to admit that he cares do her ore than just as a Dom , he wants it all!

Porter, though trying to take it slow with Kenzie finally is forced to exert his dominance when she disobeys him and her safety is compromised, but that one step opens so much for them.
Both of these characters have some emotional issues but Kenzie by far outweighs Porter, porters only real issue s that he is afraid to put himself out on th edge when it comes to admitting his feelings havin been burned in the past.

If I had my wish for this book I would have liked a little more of an epilogue but overall I enjoyed the book, I like characters and the story line and how this winderful Dom fit into solving Kenzies problems so well . This book is part of a series, which can be read as a stand alone . However, being this was only my second book I read in the series with two books in between I did feel as I was missing some backround knowledge. I believe these books are probably best enjoyed if they are read in order. With that said I would recommend the series to anyone looking for a light BDSM story with a good plot line and a touch of romance!

The Delight
Club Sin is just that! Sinful reading. Now throw in a bratty sub not looking for a long term Dom. A Dom looking to become a full blown Master at Club Sin. Taming the shrew has never been so satisfying!

Installment 5 of the Club Sin series brings back Porter Marshall from book 2 as Cora's former Master. After helping Cora find her HEA in book 2, he has remained at Club Sin and with the end of book #4, he has been given an opportunity to be a Club Sin Master with one caveat; he must tame the sassy spit-fire sub, Kenzie Hart, within 30 days. Never one to shy away from a problem, Porter tackles Kenzie both at the club and out of it. Being a private investigator, Porter can tell when a sub is lying to him or leading him the wrong direction.

Kenzie Hart isn't looking for a HEA. She gets what she needs from Club Sin and leaves it there. Extremely private, she doesn't share her past of present with anyone at Club Sin. But that's all about to change as she starts getting threats against the bookstore she inherited from her grandmother and continues to run.

I really like how the two interacted together. Porter with all his self assured dominance and Kenzie's slightly broken psyche keep battling what is right, can be bent and what is totally broken. Porter has the patience of a saint and knows just how to handle Kenzie, but he also needs to break open the shell that is being protected as to why she can't commit and fully submit. The two battle, but also love. This is on the light side of BDSM, which I find more beautiful to watch than hard-core BDSM.

Secondary characters make an appearance and only make me realize this series will be coming to an end soon. *sobs* All my favorite Masters are finding their subs.

The story is not terribly long and can be read in a day easily. The one true draw back is that we don't get to see the couple after all the conflict has finally washed away. It ends abruptly and I can only hope we get to see more of the couple in the next story.

Sexy fun, taming the shrew, light suspense...this book gives you it all in a small package that leaves you satisfied.

In the fifth book of the Club Sin series, Kenzie has agreed to sub for Porter for one month so he can become a Club Sin Master. Porter knows he’s being tested with Kenzie, a bratty sub known to test every Dom in Club Sin. She uses that attitude to top from the bottom, but Porter doesn’t play that. In between threats to Kenzie from the Russian Mafia comes into play, Porter strives to protect Kenzie while gaining her trust. Also, romance with a side of BDSM happens.

The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between

First impression was good: The idea of this club filled with hot Master Doms, well that’s right in my wheelhouse. I liked the setup to Kenzie and Porter and their first encounter was a great combination of sweet and sexy.

-Part of a series but easy to follow along: I didn’t quite realize how far it was into this series, but I didn’t have a problem following the story. That said, it might have enriched the story for me to know all the returning couples.

-Liked the sweetness of Porter: Porter comes off as a Dom who just wants someone to love. His tenderness towards Kenzie was unexpected and lovely surprise. Clearly, it was what she needed to break down those walls she’s erected. At times, though I did wonder about whether he would have been ready to fall in love with someone else. Especially with his references to Cora, I felt as if he could have opened up for another woman. Frankly, I wouldn’t have blamed him because...well...

-Kenzie needed more patience than I’m capable of: Kenzie’s inner monologue was persistently negative, defensive and hard to connect to for the most part. I probably could have gotten past that, but when she came up against Andrik and she refused to get help from the big, bad Doms she had at her disposal, well it came off as more TSTL than independent. The explanations of the different traumatic events helped me understand, but not quite sympathize because her choices were still irrational, and I didn’t quite believe she was ready for a relationship with anyone. Girl just needed therapy.

The Bottom Line
An interesting premise but a frustrating heroine torpedoed my enjoyment of this story, but it may have been better if I’d been more familiar with the series. As it is, I didn’t connect with Kenzie enough to really enjoy it. However, if you love the series, you may have more sympathy for Kenzie than I did.

It began with a fantasy and has turned into one of my favorite BDSM series. Stacey Kennedy tells the stories of the men and women of Club Sin and shares her inner eroticism with a sensual bite!

Kenzie Hart prefers to play the brat. Always hiding behind her submission yet never quite letting a Dom in. She wants to play not have a real relationship.. Only she has pushed things too far and Dimitri (Claimed), the owner of Club Sin has made it so Kenzie has to serve a powerful Dom. As Dimitri is not just a Dom but the owner, it's sort of a my way or the high way type of deal. Kenzie's real problem? If she could really let go, Porter Marshall is just the type of Dom she would love to have.

Porter Marshall wants to be a Master at Club Sin. The club is discreet and private. Set up for those who actually live the life style, not play at it. He is just inches away of becoming a Master but Dimitri has given him a task? Master Kenzie Hart. Find the true inner sub. He has a month and Porter is up to the challange. The only problem? He is finding Kenzie to be more than just a challenge. He wants to be the one who opens her heart and frees her true submission.

A truly sensual delight. If you have become bored with 50 but want to learn more about the BDSM genre. Club Sin is a perfect way to slide into the wonders of the BDSM world. Stacey has never claimed to be an authority on the subject she just wanted to write out some of her inner fantasies.. and boy howdy does she do it well!

Sensual and sensitive, Tamed takes us on journey into submission that leaves the reader thinking and slightly aroused. Wondering what if?

Another wonderful story about Club Sin..

I don't know how I ever found Stacey Kennedy, all I do know is it feels like forever ago. I love her writing, the way she tells a story, I think, is brilliant. I look forward to her books and count down the days until the next one comes out! When I finally get my hands on one, I savour it like its the last thing I will ever read.
This book was no different for me then all the rest... I LOVED it.
I waited for Porter and Kenzie's book, and believe me when I say, it takes a lot to please me, but this book was well worth the wait!!
Kenzie was such a lost soul, she reminded me so much of myself in all the previous books. She was so sassy, I loved that about her, but I also wanted someone to break through all that sassy though exterior.
Then along came Porter, he had so much patience and was so soft with Kenzie, that it made me love him more than I already did!
I love how Stacey Kennedy' s mind works. Mostly when you read a series, all the books seem to basically be the same just with different characters. With Stacey Kennedy's Club Sin series, every story is its own. Every book is different yet are all tied together. In my opinion, it takes a very talented mind to accomplish that, and Stacey makes it's seems so effortless. Her words just flow together making you feel everything that the characters feels. I love that in a book.
I love how in each book Stacey sets us up for what is coming in the next book! I can't wait for Sawyer's story! I hope Chloe is ready!!! Lol It puts a smile on my face every time I read one of the Dom's say they should "test the waters"....I have a feeling that in the next book, there might be more of that going on!
Once again, thank you Stacey Kennedy for ANOTHER awesome read! Can't wait to see what you have in store next!!

I really enjoyed reading Tamed (Club Sin #5) by Stacey Kennedy, and I think that’s because the book actually had a story that was supplemented with lite BDSM scenes. The characters were lifelike, warm, caring and played well with each other. The book didn't have one of those “terrible misunderstanding” events, even though Kenzie didn't share the threat to her business, as Porter felt she should have.

Most of the characters in the book are familiar to readers of the series, so there were no surprises on that front. Kenzie is a strong female character, even when she was afraid of giving more of herself to those in her life, her past personal issues make her a very cautious and guarded person. Porter was just plain lovable – he was patient, open, willing to take chances, and gave of himself easily. The chemistry, and building relationship between the two is very believable, non rushed, and honest. The physical and emotional tug-o-war between them adds to the real life feel of their relationship, and makes their success even more enjoyable.

So far this is my favorite book in the series, and I was very pleased that the BDSM elements of the story didn't take over the story line. Personally I’d class this book as more of a light erotic romance, with references to the BDSM lifestyle.

I received the book from NetGalley on behalf of Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept. The book has an expected publication date of March 10th 2015.

For me this was a 4 star read.

Great rebound from the last book in the series

This is the fifth book in this series and this time Porter is getting the opportunity to be a Club Sin Master. His only challenge is to spend the month with Kenzie, the sub who is known as the club's brat. Kenzie has her reasons for her behavior but without knowing them Porter is determined to truly make Kenzie submit.

In a short amount of time, Porter finds the way to get to Kenzie through intimacy and both start to rethink things. There is a nice little sub plot intermingled in the story to make things interesting and also, I believe, to give us a little better feel for Sawyer.

This book, like the others has scattered moments spent at the club. While reading, I found this book to be more tame compared to some of the earlier books in the series though that thought definitely changed with the final scene in the story. Kennedy really pulled out all the stops for that one.

Overall, the book was enjoyable and it was good to get back to the members of Club Sin. Definitely have a feeling there will be other books to come in the series so there will be more to come.

Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another kinky and emotional installment! I might have forgotten it, but has Porter's backstory shared in book 2? I'm asking because TAMED is completely Kenzie's story with barely anything about Porter aside from Cora being his ex and his hidden wealth.

Speaking of which, here I was thinking that I finally found a GOOD kinky novel that features an AVERAGE person versus another bored and dysfunctional rich guy, only to find out that Porter is a trust fund baby. I feel this ks worth mentioning because (1) Porter'sa cop & didn't have any airs about him, which is good; (2) so learning that he's actually rich in a very offhand manner felt convenient, and unnecessary IMO. For subjective and selfish reasons I wish SKennedy didn't add this to Porter's character. He would've been a stand-out, realistic Dom among billionaires/millionaires which is fantasy in more ways than one. Id like to think that kink is not exclusive to rich men, fiction or not.

Regardless, I enjoyed TAMED. I especially like the touch of suspense SKennedy added.
