I like Valerie Parv but this novel was very hard to finish.
The storyline revolves around an LDA (late discovery adoptee - someone who doesn't find out they're adopted until they're an adult - I'm one) and it was filled with the cliches and assumptions that so many make in regards to adoptees and adoption.
For that reason alone I gave it one star. If you've never read Valerie Parv before, and you're adopted, you may want to try another book first.
