We had an agreement, Jake reminded Nash, We agreed that I wouldn't treat me like a leper. Jake McVey told everyone she was visiting Australia to study the country's farming methods. Secretly, she longed to discover the identity of her real mother and why she'd given Jake up for adoption. What she hadn't bargained for was rancher Nash Campbell!
Valerie Christine Parv was a popular Australian writer of over 70 romance novels, with more than 34 million sales. She published her novels in Mills & Boon's since 1982.
I like Valerie Parv but this novel was very hard to finish. The storyline revolves around an LDA (late discovery adoptee - someone who doesn't find out they're adopted until they're an adult - I'm one) and it was filled with the cliches and assumptions that so many make in regards to adoptees and adoption. For that reason alone I gave it one star. If you've never read Valerie Parv before, and you're adopted, you may want to try another book first.
