Eagle, the rugged heir to the galaxy, is held captive by a beautiful rebel android named Skyra on a quest for her sister, Mayla, the rebels' only hope for freedom, but finds herself falling for her prisoner. Original.
Tess Mallory still believes in fairies, so she strives to make her books as magical as possible, filled with romance, humor, history, fun, and fantasy. Her life has been pretty magical, too. Not perfect, but truly blessed. She's a breast cancer survivor married to a guy so understanding, his name should be in lights, their three children love her in spite of the dragon shirts she loves to wear, and she has a precious granddaughter. Tess and her family live in the Texas hill country. Make her day by dropping her a note at tessmallory@yahoo.com.
This book was boring and incredibly predictable, but I did finish it so I gave it two stars. I reserve one star for books I just can't finish. The hero and heroine don't like/can't trust one another for more than half the book. I spotted the one of the villains in the first chapter. The end was just too easy. Page after page of internal dialogue and rationalizations for why the character was doing something obviously stupid/dangerous/going to slow the plot down. Entirely formulaic. I know I've read books by this author before that I've enjoyed and I have a couple more on my shelf, so I hope this was an anomaly.
This is my first time reading a book by Tess Mallory and I definitely enjoyed it. It was different enough to hold my interest til the end. I loved the scenery of the different places the characters visited. I felt I could relate to the characters. My favorite character was actually Eagle but Sky's personality reminded me of my oldest daughter. :D Overall, I enjoyed the book. But it's not one I'd read over and over again. If you enjoy sci-fi, adventure, and romance, you should check this out!

You'll get a hot romance, a touch of paranormal, and believable SF elements, worlds, and strange new beings. But overriding all that is a strong heroine who will do just about anything to save her sister, including kidnapping the man who can help Skyra get her sister back. What Skyra doesn't know is that tough and sexy Eagle is just as sympathetic to her plight, and it doesn't take long for an attraction to build between them.
