This book must be read as a story. Not as a planting book for lavender farmers or gardeners :-) No, it does not contain a story, but it looks like it does. Chapters, good thoughts, tips, recommendations are not well organized. So, be patient and read from begining to end. You will find them and they worth it.

I am giving plus points for detailed info about essential oil and about reproducing lavenders. Also for some good tips for drying and cooking.

Mentioned lavender festivals were at first something like "hey, it is not for me, I'm from different part of globe than author", but after detailed reading that chapter I was thinking about that deeply - why not to start the tradition also here.

Worth it for the pictures alone

If you love lavender you'll love this book. It has everything in it you need to know about lavender from the history of it, how to grow it and how to use it.
