Piper's hot Highlander is back from the eighteenth century, desperate to save her life.
It seems he might have had something to do with the reason she's in danger, but every time she tries to get a straight answer, he distracts her with what's under his kilt.
Never to be parted again, they have to return to the past together. Can Piper use her ancestor's spell without succumbing to its darkness?
And will Sam and Evie ever get engaged?
*** Be sure to read Lost Highlander, the first book of this series! And stay tuned for book 3 in early 2014!
I liked this time travel romance. It was set in the Highlands (if you couldn't tell from the series name) and in this book we travel back through time to historical Scotland. It was a fun trip.
When you discover you can time travel? When you find out that your past won't be your past and you may not even be born at all? When you fall in love with a hot Highlander from the past but he's in current time with you? When you realize that your wicked relative knows how to time travel and is in current time too and out to hurt you? Well you read Cassidy Caymon of course!! This is a brand new author to me but she won't be from now on! I love her and she has more twists and turns in her books than anyone and just about the time you think you have it all figured out there's a new twist! Do not miss this series!
Oh my this story just gets better and better, lots of twists n turns as Lochlan and Piper go back n forth to the past. Some great laugh out loud moments and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. Onto book 3
Another fantastic story about great characters a great storyline and great descriptions of scenes. I truly love reading stories like these. Fantastic me
On first read, it didn't hold my attention, but I'll try again another day. Well, ok, on second read, I got exhausted listening to Angela Dawe's frenetic shouting Every. Single. Word. Gonna archive this one...and hope it gets lost!
Excellent follow-up to the first Lost Highlander novel. I was hoping that Lachlan would come forward in time again to be with Piper. His reason for coming forward surprised me, which left me very intrigued with where this book was going. Yet again Cassidy offers lots of comic relief sprinkled in between moments of great romance, tragedy, and adventure. I'll definitely continue reading this fun series.
As a second in series, it tied in very well. It did not leave me with the feeling that I had missed something between the two. The future and past come together in a quite believable way. The old and new characters are very well written and add to the story. So far a really good series.
I hope the lesson of this series is not about fate. I'll let it run its course and keep reading but if each book is about meddling in the past with no repercussions to the future, I may have to reevaluate my ratings. I like the plot, the characters, and settings, but would like some resolution on how this set of people are able to hop back and forth.
I would have given this book a five but for the ending. the same as the first book in the series. once you can kind of accept but not twice for me. despite this letting you unfinished with any of the characters it was a good read with highland time travel
Was great to jump back into this world, what I like most about this series is that the books are so short but contain a lot of action. I really like the characters, and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.
Still caught on the cliffhanger ending so will be awaiting next book to complete judgement. The time discrepancy is more obvious in this book and how it changes person to person. Loving the new character tie in.
The Highlander returns, and then takes Piper back to his time, due to a worry about her distant ancestor. Off course there is much more than this to tale, but I hate to give away a great storyline.
Glad I got into the second book as it was written at a faster pace. I'm hoping that some unanswered questions will be address in book 3 but we'll see. On to Revenge.
I tried reading this whole book. Marking it as read for the review purpose and for my reference. I just couldn't get connected with all the characters. Couldn't get into it.
