Accidentally Yours #5

Accidentally...Over?

Rate this book
When it comes to Máax, the God of Truth who refuses to follow the rules, there's more to him than meets the eye. Literally. Because Máax is invisible! Which is probably why, after seventy-thousand years, he's still unable to find a mate.

Ashli Rosewood was never meant to die. In fact, her death might be the very reason the gods are now faced with stopping that pesky doomsday right around the corner. If only there was a way to undo the past.

Cue Máax. Seven feet of divine masculinity and the unruly god charged with saving Ashli. With a little help from an ancient Mayan tablet, Máax will travel back in time and set things right.

Easy, right?
Wrong.

Because Máax has one teensy challenge. He's invisible. And every time this impatient, powerful deity gets anywhere near Ashli, he spooks her right into harm's way. Meaning...she dies, and he has to start all over again.

Cliff, banana peel, runaway storage container filled with Belgian chocolates, bee sting, the list goes on and on. Does the Universe have it out for this girl? Sure seems that way. But why? And what will Máax do when he begins to suspect that not only is Ashli the key to stopping the apocalypse, but she may be "the one" he's been waiting seventy-thousand years for.

How will he save the one woman the Universe insists on killing and who wants nothing to do with him?

Accidentally…Over is book 5 and the final book in the Accidentally Yours series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. Mimi Jean, you are a genius! I just want to get that out there. I just love you. This whole series is just fanfreakingtastic!!! Not to mention all your other books. So now that I got that off my chest, maybe I can concentrate on telling you all about this book.

Ashli Rosewood lives in her beautiful little beach community in Talum, Mexico. She lost her parents previously and still grieves their deaths. She lives in their little beach cottage and runs their coffee shop. It’s the only way she keeps their memory close. She’s been having very strange dreams, though. Dreams of her own death by various ways, and dreams of an always faceless Adonis of a man and some very sexy scenes. This is all quite surprising since there isn’t anyone special in her life and hasn’t been for a very long time. She wonders though, why she survived and not her parents and has a constant nagging feeling:

“Death isn’t done with you yet."

We’ve heard a little bit about Maax in the previous books. Maax who is being punished by having been stripped of his deity powers and also that he is now invisible. He is still all there in all his deity endowed perfection, just that no one can see him. So he chooses not to wear clothing since it tends to freak people out seeing clothes walking around with no body inside them. Cimil has summoned Maax and told him she needs his help. The world is destined for an apocalypse. The earthquakes are already starting. She needs Maax to travel back to 1993 and to save Ashli from almost certain death. That he needs to stay with her, protect her and that this will save the world. She won’t tell him why, just that this is what he has to do. Little did he realize that death would not give in so easily. Every time he tries to make his presence known, he frightens Ashli since he is invisible, and causes her to have an accident in various ways which causes her death. So he has to go back even further to try again. It’s hilarious. There are banana peels, bee stings, drowning, choking. Death wants her. But there is something else that puts a kink in his plans. It seems that Ashli might be his destined mate. He feels the pull right away. But this can’t be. After he helps Cimil to save the world, he knows he will be punished for traveling back in time and will be incarcerated. He has no happily ever after to offer a mate.

“Get yourself together, man. You. Do not. Want her. You do not want a mate."

This book is hilarious. Where else can you find vampires that have an addiction to Netflix dramedies and Foosball and only dine on evil souls? Where else can you find crazy Cimil with her pet invisible unicorn Minky and the love of her life that just happens to be a vampire, Roberto? And then there is all the deity brothers and sisters. We get to revisit all the characters from the previous books.

When Maax and Ashli finally do get together, OH MY GOSH!!! Is that even possible???

Everything, eventually, is explained, Cimil style, and brought to a comical conclusion. And we get not one but two epilogues. I loved the Author Note at the end complete with the promise of a new series. So I want to say again, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff, you are completely awesome. If you write it, I will read it. So keep it up and I will follow! Thank you for such a wonderfully entertaining series.

:: IT'S LIVE and full review without spoilers is not posted ::

This extremely funny, very smart and incredibly imaginatively sexy story is the perfect end to a great series. It will take you on a wild ride Six Flags Magic Mountain would love to have and leave you happy, smiling and satisfied at the end.

Plot and cliffhangers? No, there are no cliffhangers left in this series because it is the fifth and final installment of the Accidentally Series. But there is a comment in one of the epilogues (yes, there’s more than one) and a note after “the end” with an interesting bit of information. Mimi does a remarkable job wrapping up the entire series’ plot in this book. No ends are left dangling or loose, and it’s amazing to see now how complex and well thought the overall series’ arc is.

Paranormal? Yes. This series is very much a paranormal romance book. It ranges from your widely known creatures of the night to an invisible, sweet but asshole-ish alpha male deity. And if you’ve followed this series you’ve experienced almost everything in between.

Series? Yes, this is the fifth full length novel of the series and if this is your first contact (get it? First Contact like in Star Trek? No? Fine I’m a big nerd, moving on) with it I strongly suggest you read the series in order. On the bright side, it’s Over so you can serial read it without having pesky time intervene between one cliffhanger and the next.

Character development? In each book (including the two novellas) we’ve gotten to know a different couple. And with the progression of the series, past characters have made an appearance, but none more than Cimil who I find completely insane and endearing at the same time. With her comes her perfect partner in crime, lust and funny, Roberto; with whom I’m completely smitten. All the other characters make an appearance in this book, but these two get a special mention.

Of course there’s also Máax and Ashli, the hero and heroine, who start out fighting tooth and nail with each other, and themselves under extreme, amusing and unimaginable situations. He’s invisible and she is being chased by Death.

It’s very appealing reading about a larger than life male who is at the same time flawed but willing to rise to the challenge and learn from his mistakes and from others. It’s equally appealing to meet his match in the form of a quirky, loving woman that knows how to roll with the punches and who learned just as much from him as he from her.

I really enjoy Mimi’s originality, humor and writing style. I post-it marked so much (because I actually read it in paper format) I would love to share and talk about, but I think getting to experience it firsthand is worth the wait. It was a great journey and I'm sad to say goodbye but I look forward to Mimi's future publications.

* I was given an ARC of this book. *

Wow! what a wild ride this series has been. In this last book of Accidentally Yours series we finally got Maax story, The God of Truth and Ashli, who is prophesied to stop the apocalypse. I love Mimi and how she gave these bunch of misfit Deities the best ending. I'm looking forward to reading The Immortal Matchmaker Series to see how my favorite character Cimil will carryout the punishment.

This was the first book in the "Accidentally Yours" series that I have had the pleasure of reading. Granted, just by reading the foreword by character Cimil, I knew I was in for a treat!
It took me a few pages to realize how outrageous the array of characters were, but I began to fall in love with everyone.
It was a wild ride, with a fantastic ending, and I'm so glad I managed to pick up this lovely read.
I can't wait to pick up the rest of the series and get to know the rest of this world on a more personal level!

Its just such a shame that this is the final installment in the series...

I'm so sad that this series is over, but really happy about other news.
This book was an amazing ending.
Máax was adorable in his crazy god-like way and I loved Ashli, she was too cute and adorable.
I'm going to leave you with this:
Would you like my chair? (It seems selfish to keep it.)

I see Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s name and like Pavlov’s Dog, I start salivating with glee because I KNOW I’m in for the ride of my life filled with heart-breaking love, harrowing moments and side-splitting laughter! Finally, Maax has his day in the spotlight of love, but his eternal love has a nasty habit of dying, over and over and he must figure a way to go back in time to the perfect moment that saves her life and his heart, all while knowing his cursed invisibility will probably put a damper on things as the lovely and lonely human, Ashli begins to think she is losing her mind. And Cimil? Not to worry, she is up to her usual antics, have truths and kinky thoughts as she leads Maax on a mission to save the world by keeping the key player, Ashli, alive. Will he succeed or has Cimil taken her games one step too far by locking up all of the gods and plays on Maax’s sense of duty?

Accidentally…Over is the perfect title, a perfect play on words for the last book of the Accidentally Series which could also be the end game to the world as we know it, thanks to the wit and “slightly” crazy mind of Mimi Jean Pamfiloff! Brilliantly written, with all of the snark, humor and chaos of the rest of the series, from start to finish, this did NOT leave my hands!
As always, Ms. Pamfiloff takes the usually reverent and dry stories of the gods and shows her complete disregard for the solemnity of ancient myths and tales and I LOVE IT! Who thought the gods could be so much fun? Who knew how fragile their hold was on maturity, camaraderie, selflessness could be, I for one, thank Ms. Pamfiloff for setting me straight while keeping me alternately in stitches, in disbelief and in awe of her talent.

If you’ve missed this series, it’s not too late to get on board Cimil’s crazy train and hitch the ride of your life!

This is the first series I ever read from Mimi and I fell hard for Maax from the first time we get to meet him. I am so happy she is ending the series with my favorite God, but so not happy it is over.

Ashli is so fun and sweet not to mention smart and sassy. Loved how she brings Maax to his knees. This is defiantly a story I will read over many times.

I don't want to give anything away but thanks for the awesome light at the end of this story. I look forward to the new series I am sure it will be just as fun and awesome.

Máax the god of truth finally has his story told. I can't believe this series is over:(. I loved that one person was able to save the entire world and obtain her mate at the same time. Penelope, Emma, and Helen have made a huge difference in the Immortal world, adding Ashli into the mix has only made a change for the better. Can't wait for the new series to come out so that we can see what kinds of things will occur while Cimil and Zac try to fulfill the challenges given to them as part of their punishment.

Mimi Jean has done it again!!!! With this ending of the series, she has meshed together a lot of quirky characters with their quirky personalities, and a great scenario!

It has ( as always) its steamy scenes, laugh out loud moments, and the ending that I think it's the most appropriate!!

If you are looking for a funny, sexy series, with great characters and a completely new plot to read this is the one!! i seriously recommend this series!!!

“Roberto’s vampire soldiers gathered around, but Cimil waved them back. They knew to obey her, no matter what, despite who wore the kingly britches.
“All right, but you’re not going to like this.” She cracked her knuckles. “Truth is, in about seven months, the gods destroy the planet. We get into some war with each other. I have done everything possible to change course, but I failed. Miserably. Locking us up is the only way to make sure that doesn’t happen.”

“Máax grumbled several unhappy thoughts in the key of F—effing, eff, eff, eff, and effing hell. “If the gods should be locked up to prevent this war, then why are you allowing me to remain free?” Máax asked.
Here came the hard part. She needed to convince Máax to once again break the sacred law banning time travel. It was expressly prohibited, not to mention difficult and extremely risky. However, Máax had already broken the rule a thousand times, landing him in hot water. Not that he cared. Bad boy alert! Sure, he’d had a perfectly good reason for each offense, but that didn’t mean there weren’t consequences. The last time he’d been caught, he’d been banished, stripped of his powers, and left without a human shell. Yep… powerless and invisible for ten thousand years. Again, not that he cared.”
Cimil clapped. “Ding, ding, ding! I need you to go back a few teeny tiny decades, to 1993, find a certain chicky-boo, and make sure she doesn’t croak prematurely.”
“True. Máax had, in fact, been doing a lot of bidding for her lately, but he had to attempt this one final task. Not only did her latest vision reveal that saving the woman was their last chance to put things back on course and avoid the apocalypse, but it was also Máax’s one shot at happiness.
So first time Maax saw Ashli in 1993. She was 25 years old. Her parents had died 3 years earlier. She worked at a cafe left by her parents. He knew immediately she was his mate. He spooked her and she was hit by a bus. Cimil send him to save Ashli to prevent the apocalypse but he killed her within 60 seconds after. Huh. Save Ashli take two. He came a week before her death by the bus. Unfortunately, she was bitten by a bee. Her spare epinephrine shot was in her car. Maax forgot where he placed her car key thus she died before Maax gave her the epinephrine shot.
“Máax literally meant “Who?” in Mayan. He’d been called it for so long that he sometimes forgot he once had another name: Maat, which meant “truth” or “justice” in Egyptian. They had been the first civilization to truly embrace the concept and named it after him. Of course, Cimil changed the historical records and made Maat a woman. “Truth has to be female because men are lying, cheating pigs!” she’d said. He supposed, at the time, it had something to do with Roberto, but whatever. He was Máax now, the god of… nothing. Invisible.”
Save Ashli take three. Maax had an allergy to plumeria in her garden. He sneezed. She managed to tied him to a tree. But when the patrol came, he was not there. He slept next to her. In the morning, she stalked him in the ocean. She ran and slipped. He took her to hospital. He told him that she is his soul mate - match. He went to find out why the Universe trying to exterminate her.
“Máax had to admit, despite the dire situation and countdown to doom, seeing all thirteen gods jailed, guarded by fucking huge vampires, had some entertainment value.
“Sure he loved them just as a human might love his or her siblings—though the gods were not truly related—but they’d all used Máax in one way or another, taking advantage of his need to see justice served at any cost. Example: There was the time Camaxtli, aka Fate, had Máax travel back to ancient Greece to steal the book of the Oracle of Delphi. Fate had used the book for years to predict the future. Why? A secret. One she made him swear to keep until his grave. Example two: The time Cimil had him steal the book away from Fate so she could give it to some Demilord. Why? Yeah, another secret. The list of manipulations, deceit, and games went on and on. And yet Máax never turned his back on the other gods—not even that lying coward, Fate—when they asked for help. Not even when his suffering became almost too much to bear.”
“It was true. Everyone knew the two had been through their share of pain and struggles. After meeting Maggie, his one true love, Chaam had been possessed by dark energy, committed a series of heinous atrocities—started breeding like a rabbit with random women and then murdered his female children to use them as some sort of apocalyptic biofuel (yeah, like he said, heinous)—then had been captured and imprisoned inside a real-life “temple of doom.” Maggie had also been imprisoned inside one of the tablets. Well, not inside, but in the dimension that existed between everything. Not pretty. Chaam had since been cured, thanks to Máax and their sister Ixtab—but Chaam had a mountain of baggage to deal with.”
“Yes.” What? Did he have to spell it out? There had been approximately a thousand women of Chaam’s descent (called Payals), spanning over the course of eighty or so years, whom Máax had quietly plucked from death’s doorstep, relocating them before their fates took a turn for the worse. He’d helped all but two hundred find new lives, safe from Chaam’s evil henchmen, the Maaskab. Those two hundred had been severely traumatized, leaving him no choice but to employ the help of his sister, the Goddess of Forgetfulness. The women were now safe, living right there on the Uchben base where they could start anew. Not a perfect ending to their stories, but sometimes perfect wasn’t possible.
Maggie wailed and then jumped on Chaam, wrapping her arms around his neck, her legs around his waist. “I told you so, baby. I told you. We were meant to be happy.”
Chaam’s face whitened with astonishment. “But why? Why did you do it?” he asked Máax.”
“Cimil’s turquoise eyes glowed with mischief, and her lips curled into a giant smirk. “I have told you; Ashli will be the one to prevent us from fighting each other. She will broker peace if you save her and she is allowed to live out her natural life in her natural habitat be locked in here? Okay. Maybe I would. It’s cozy.”
Máax slammed his fist against the glass. “I’m not fucking around, Cimil! We’ve had five earthquakes. Five!”
“He is right, my evil dove,” Roberto agreed. “You must tell him what you know.”
“Cimil crossed her arms and turned away.
“Very well.” He was on his own. What was new, really? That was the way it had always been. Máax did everything in his power to save everyone’s bacon, and they turned their backs on him in his time of need. Again and again and again.
No more. He was done saving everyone. Except for Ashli.
2 days later. He was jealous because Dr. Rubin Ruiz was hitting on her and inviting her to dinner. She almost choked to death by a bread. So he suggested to take her away and told her she already died twice and nearly died twice more since he met her.
“You are making fun, I see. However, I assure you, I tell the truth. My first trip to meet you is ten days from now. This is when you are hit by the bus. My second trip is in approximately three days from now. This is when I fail to save you from the bee. My third visit to you was a few days ago, when you hit me with the shovel. So as you see, this is why we must leave now. I must take you somewhere safe until your life is squarely on a new path, one where you are destined to live.”
He tried to bring her to Spain. But there's a plane burning. So he took her back to her home. They almost have sex but there's no jade amulet to make it happen.
Just like before the bee accident, he jerked off at her bathroom, and she already found unconscious on the beach. Luckily, this time she survived.
Brutus weirdly started took interest with Ashli.
“Didn’t Cimil tell you,” Brutus argued, “that if you remove Ashli from her time that she wouldn’t fulfill her destiny of stopping the apocalypse?”
Yes, but he’d have to find another solution”.
“And I am going to take you forward in time. I can only hope that removing you from the current situation will prompt Death to seek balance elsewhere.”
“Forever.
Yes. That was it! Why had he not thought of the solution before? Because now your bond with the Universe is severed. You’re able to put Ashli first.
And that he would. For the first time in his existence, Máax would live up to his bad boy reputation, not because he felt compelled by the Universe to serve justice, but because he selfishly wanted something: to give Ashli immortality.”

For the first time, he lied to convince her to follow him to the future. 😆
“It is simple,” Máax said coldly. “I took you to my realm and filled you with our light. You are immortal now. This is why your eyes are now turquoise. Like mine.”
“Máax paced across the tiled living room floor. He’d desperately wanted to follow Ashli, but he’d already pushed things too far. Not only had he lied about the prophecy—and it was only a matter of time before she found out—but he’d also withheld his true intentions: to make her immortal. It was just as good as a lie in his book. And if he followed her now, she’d think him a complete chauvinistic bastard. He couldn’t have that. Not when their days together were now numbered. Although, he supposed, they always were. He’d broken so many sacred laws, now including making Ashli immortal without the gods’ permission and traveling back to his realm from which he was banished—no regrets, of course—that he’d probably be sentenced to entombment for two eternities. Maybe three. His only means to change that fate would be for the gods to modify their laws regarding mandatory punishment. But that required something nearly impossible: a unanimous vote.
Not likely. The gods never agreed unanimously on anything.”
“She hopped into the empty tub and gazed up at her living sculpture. Her god. Her giant caramel apple god.
Yes. Now she could see him. Really, truly see him. She let out a tiny gasp. His face was a vision of perfection just as she’d imagined. If only she could gaze into his eyes.”

“He flipped her onto her back again and slid inside her. “I’ve never been with another woman, but the seventy-thousand-year wait for you was worth every moment of torture, Ashli. You’ve already exceeded every expectation.”
Seventy thousand years? For her?
He kissed her hard and pushed deep inside, igniting her once again.”
After their night of 20 over times making love, he went to turn himself. He left a note to her through Timothy who passed the note to Brutus. So obviously, she didnt get the note and thought he simply used and leave her. She demanded the god of forgetfullness to remove his memory. Stupid.

“So be it,” he said. “Everyone, Fate cannot see one’s fate, guide one toward their fate, or create fate. She has absolutely no powers and never will. She has been faking it all along, lying to everyone.” That, in itself, was a punishable crime given that Fate had consulted on thousands of matters during summit meetings over the millennia. They had based many important decisions on her words.
“Máax’s bond with the Universe has broken, and his soul has now fully bonded to Ashli. Two lights, one soul. And as we all know from experience, once that occurs, all sorts of fun things happen—did I ever tell you about the time General DiConti was PMSing with Helena?” Cimil slapped her knee, laughing hysterically, tears forming in her eyes. “Oh, gods! He didn’t know if he wanted to cry or boink her!” She clutched her belly. “Then there was Kinich who lived inside Penelope’s body—Rarrr! Talk about kinky! Then Emma and Votan with their Vulcan mind melding—”
“Cimil. Enough,” Máax interrupted. “Get to the point.”
Cimil grinned, her turquoise eyes sparkling with giddiness. “From the moment Ashli met you, her light began pulling your power. She is now officially the Goddess of Love as it has always been destined to be.”
Impossible. “Why do you think Ashli is the Goddess of Love?”
“Ask Ms. Forget-Me-Yes over there. Ashli popped her good.”
“Cimil wagged her finger. “Uh-uh-uh. Your powers weren’t taken away. We just fixed it so that you couldn’t use them, but they remained inside you.”
“But I am not the God of Love, I never was. I am the God of Truth,” Máax said.
“Really now?” Cimil smiled. “Think carefully, Máax. Was it truth that drove you to come to our rescue over and over and over again? Or break our laws to help us and later take the punishment? Was it truth that got you to take an oath to Fate to keep her lie a secret? No. It was love, Máax, your love of your brethren. Truth was simply another way of expressing your love—being honest, keeping your word, those are all symptoms of love. Once you lost it, you started lying like a fiend.”
“A fiend? I lied once,” he protested.
“And broke your promise to me!” Fate barked.
“Shut up, Fate,” Penelope said. “Or shall we call you, Fake?”
“I’m not a fake, I’m just…” She sighed and sank into her chair. “… Just not like you.”
“Penelope took a vote to change the rules that governed the modification of their sacred laws. A unanimous vote by all fourteen gods would no longer be required. Ashli was the fourteenth vote to approve this change.
Next, time travel would no longer be banned or a crime, specifically for Máax. He would become their official traveler—the Keeper of Time Travel, although missions would need to be approved by a majority vote.
“And finally, Máax,” Penelope said, standing from her chair, smiling with tears in her eyes, “I move to lift any and all punishments that have been cast upon you. Your powers will be restored—whatever remains, obviously—and your physical form returned to you.” Penelope looked across the table. “All in favor?”
The gods raised their hands, smiles on every face.
“It is a majority vote.” She burst out crying and turned to Kinich.
Máax took a triumphant breath. The air swirled around him, and his body surged with light, power, and strength. It was finally over. He won, and Ashli had saved him. She’d been the key all along.
There is no such thing as an accident. It was all meant to be.
“Okay there, big boy.” Ashli opened her eyes. She lay on a bed of leaves with her upper torso cradled against Máax’s broad, bare chest. “You’ll never believe where I was. My parents were there, telling me I kept dying because I wanted to see them. They said you were sent to help me learn to live again.”
His smile stretched from ear to ear, and his eyes filled with unspeakable joy. “Did it work?”
“Oh my gods!” She was looking at him! With her own two eyes! “Máax? Is it really you?”
He placed his warm hand on her cheek. “Yes, my dear Ashli. It is I.”

“what Zac did was unforgiveable. At her most vulnerable moment, pregnant, having believed she’d lost Kinich, Zac used his powers to make her believe she had feelings for him. Then when Kinich turned up and became a vampire—a long, long story—Zac made Kinich crave her blood. He thought she would never love a man, errr, ex-god, err, vampire, who was a threat to her and her unborn baby.
A-hole.
Penelope rapped her gavel on the table. “I hereby open proceedings against Zac, God of Temptation. Zac, you are accused of using your powers on another deity without permission—a violation of a sacred law. What do you have to say for yourself?”
Kinich didn’t flinch, but Penelope felt the anger radiate from his body. She knew Kinich wanted him dead. Dead dead. Not deity dead. But killing a deity wasn’t possible. In fact, punishment was rather limited: banishment, removal of one’s human shell, suspension of powers, and incarceration or entombment.”
“She nodded. No, there was no excuse for that.
She wiped her eyes and looked up at Zac. “Do you have anything else to say?”
“Only that I will never stop loving you, Penelope. You are truly the most remarkable, sexy, passionate woman I’ve ever known.”
Kinich growled.
“And I truly regret hurting you,” he added. “But what I did pales in comparison to the pain Kinich caused you. Yet you forgave him. I only hope you’ll forgive me, too.”
She bobbed her head, not in agreement, but to acknowledge she’d heard him. “You may go back to your seat until it’s time for sentencing.”
Damn, this sucked. And it would only get harder.
She blew out a breath. “I call Cimil, the Goddess of the Underworld.”
“It took one hour and forty-five minutes to read the charges against Cimil who, by the way, looked utterly pleased with herself. She grinned like a madwoman the entire time in her bright red tango dress that matched her bright red hair, loose and wild, just like her mind.

“She lovingly patted his cheek. “No, my sweet pharaoh. I have kept my promise to you. It will be a little girl. And a little boy. And another little boy. And a girl.” She shrugged. “I kinda over did it on the fertility spell with Akna. Whoops!”
Roberto hugged her, and she genuinely looked pleased. It almost made Penelope want to forgive Cimil. She was crazy and wild, but she had pulled off the impossible; she’d created a new future for everyone. She’d probably been the only one insane enough to see the possibilities and take the risks. And if she truly was compelled to do evil, how could they punish her? That was her role. But it also made her dangerous. Or did it?
Damn. So confusing.

“Zac and Cimil, please rise before us for sentencing.”
The two moved to the middle of the floor.
Zac, for your crimes, we sentence
“you to banishment. Your powers will be neutralized, and you will live in the human world until we see you’ve truly learned the meaning of love.”
Zac stared straight ahead without the slightest reaction. Penelope wasn’t at all surprised. He was too proud to show any sign of weakness.
“Cimil, your acts of cruelty and disregard for the feelings of others are unspeakable. Yet we are also grateful to you for all that you have done for everyone. I hope you fully appreciate how gracious we are being because of this.” She paused for a moment. “You are also, hereby, stripped of your powers and sentenced to live in the human world.”
Penelope looked at them both. “It seems you both need to learn a lesson about empathy and selflessness. You will remain in the human world until we feel that you’ve evolved.”
Cimil huffed. “That could be forever!”
“Well,” Penelope said, “you seem to have a knack for helping others find their mates. And Zac, you desperately need to learn firsthand what real love is. So, in addition to banishment, you will both serve hard time. You are hereby sentenced to help one hundred immortals—your brethren, our vampire friends, the Payals, any immortal—find their soul mates. We hope that putting you in the front lines will help you see the error of your ways.”
“This is ridiculous!” Zac barked. “I’m not going to play the role of fucking Cupid!”
“Remove him from the court,” Penelope commanded the soldiers.
“As for Chaam, based on today’s hearing, he is absolved of all wrongdoing. He will not go to trial.” She looked at Chaam and Maggie. “We wish you nothing but the best in your life together.”
Maggie and Chaam embraced.
“Speaking of immortals. What the devil? Groans and screams exploded from every direction. Doctors and nurses scrambled every which way. His brother Guy hovered over a pain-struck Emma stretched across a gurney, her red hair wild about her face. Kinich stood beside another gurney, gripping a screaming Penelope’s hand. His sister Ixtab sat hunched over in a chair with Antonio holding her firmly by the shoulders, instructing her to breathe. And last but not least, Cimil screamed at the top of her lungs as Roberto tried to feed her ice chips. Strangely, he wore no clothes. His face was painted like a clown. It was disturbing. But not as disturbing as the howls and agonizing groans coming from the five women.
Máax felt his blood pressure hit the cold tiled floor as he took in the scene before him.
Babygeddon.”

Well, I finished the series...and my head is still spinning. Have you ever gotten into a situation that you cannot control? Well, the chapter with all the gods locked in their cells and Maax and Cimil going at it gave me that feeling. I wanted to scream at my iPad, "answer the damn questions, Cimil!!". I can't believe a book made me feel so...emotionally charged. 😳🤦🏾‍♀️

This book is about Maax and Ashli. I'm not a fan of Ashli so much because her questions and stubbornness kind of drove me up the wall. Maax is everyone's last hope in stopping the apocalypse. Does Maax stop it or make things a lot worse? Well, I'm not telling. You'll just have to read.

Although I understand the characters a lot more, I still don't like Cimil lol (I'm pretty sure I've made that clear several times). I hope you all enjoy the series as much as I did.

I'm off to start the Immoral Matchmaking series.

I love everything Mimi! Keep up the great writing.

Happy reading, friends 🤗📖❤️

I love the series and Mimi Jean. This has been one rollercoaster of a read! Love, laughs, fights, time travel, unicorns, nutty gods, bad guys, good guys and vampires oh my! Where to start with why I love this series.... The Gods are so loveable, so sexy and yet so alone when we started this journy. Reading about their journeys on the way to love and saving the world has been a thrill. The characters are so real, you feel their heart ache, their love, their desires, and you can see them in all their sexyness. Accidently Over was the perfect ending, no more cliffhangers, all the questions you have are finally answered. You finally know why Cimil does what she does, and you might just find out if she really is nuts or just acts like she is. I'm sad to say goodbye, the Gods have been a rollercoaster of a ride and I'm sad to get off

This epic finish to an amazingly hilarious and action-packed series was the insane icing on the crazy cake that Mimi Jean Pamfiloff baked when she cooked up her Accidentally series. You want this book, you need this book, and if you haven't read the series, then your life as a paranormal romance reader/author stalker is not yet complete. From Cimil to the Maskaab, this journey has been a fantastic trek through the author's crazy but well-detailed world built for this small pantheon of very strange gods and goddesses. Anyone with an appreciation for humor, romance, and a mild dislike of clowns will fall in love. In the words of Maax," YOLO, motherf&$:er. YOLO."

Awesomesauce! What a way to end a great series. Earthquakes, time travel, death, parties and babygeddon! It was fun. It was sexy. It was batshit crazy full of Cimil's ADHDness. It was romantic. What else could we have expected from Mimi? I am sad to see the series over but am happy she did it the way she did it. So many times when a series ends, there seems to be something missing. Here, everything gets taken care of. We get taken care of. What a crazy ride Mimi has taken us on. Full of twists, dips, loops and cliffhanging drops! Best ride ever! Thank you Mimi.

I was lucky enough to win an ARC of this book from Mimi Jean and I couldn't be happier!! Amazing, amazing, amazing!! Mimi is truly a genius. The entire series was a complicated, but yet, well thought out story. (I'm still not sure how she did it.) I laughed most of the way through, with a cry here and there. For all of you that are waiting to read it, I can tell you, it's well worth the wait!!

2.5 maybe, I think I'm just over the genre and I found a lot of the stuff that was supposed to be funny annoying. Won't be reading the spin-off series, I think I've had my fill of these gods and goddesses.

I loved this ending for the series, or was it an ending? Truly a beautiful way to close it out. But at the same time I feel like I'm mourning the loss of a bunch of friends because the series is over. An absolute "must read" the whole series is.

The time has come for Cimil to pay for all of her crimes. As she sits back and enjoys her incarceration the question remains, will she be enjoying a giant bowl of popcorn while watching the apocalypse begin, or still attempting to prevent it? Or planning a giant hoopla to celebrate it? Her victim of the day is Maax, though it turns out she has been using him for a very long time. Though now he may finally get his reward, after he jumps through a few more fiery hoops.

Cimil sends Max on one final mission; to go back in time to save the only person able to stop the Apocalypse. No problem right? Wrong. There are a few catches; 1) Death has its eyes set on this mystery woman. 2) He must save her in her own time, as a mortal. 3) She has to stay in her own time. Easy simple tasks, if she hadn't turned out to be his. And saving her life seems to be a tasks even harder to accomplish than evading the end of the world. Oh, and he's still invisible. So what's a god to do when faced with such enormous tasks set out by a sister who is one of the craziest beings alive and always has something up her sleeve?

Ashli Rosewood is beginning to think she has lost her ever loving mind. Not only does she keep dreaming of her own demise, but the being she believes to be the god of death. Only instead of fearing him she lusts after him. Ever since losing her parents Ashli has felt not only the guilt of surviving, but that Death was out to get her. So when Maax steps into her life, she is more than sure he is there to end hers. But if/when she decides that may not be what he after, her world is turned beyond upside down.

In this final ride of the Accidentally Yours Series just may blow a gasket from laughing so hard, and be watching the ground closely for banana peels. Every answer to every question will finally be answered, and the full extent to all of Cimil's plans will be revealed. And we finally learn what the hell Jess, Ann and Nichole are!!!! See, I waited so patiently, as I am sure all of you did as well. This is a must read for any and all who have read the series. Those of you who haven't, what are you waiting for? Full of action, not toooo much drama, laughter, mayhem, love and a whole lot of fun. Sadly, there isn't that much bloodshed in this final book, and I really would have loved one more bloody battle with all of the gods battling it out with the Scabs and Obscuros. But all of the dark humor did indeed make up for that. This series is for all readers, regardless of gender, that love their humor dark, deadly and sinister. And completely unpredictable, a truly unique read, which is a rare find these days. One will not be able to say, 'didn't I just read this same thing happening in a different book?' Really, I haven't heard of many invisible deities who were made in invisible as a punishment to a crime that wasn't even really a crime who could travel through time and do other very manly deeds.

So fans of Krestley Cole, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Kerrelyn Sparks, be sure to make this series your next read. And when you do, be sure to pick up the entire series at once. When reading this series, readers will not want to stop until they get to the very end.

Crazy. This is the kind of book that can never be adapted to movies because it just makes no sense. But that nonsensical is what makes this book so charming and funny. And the gods are unabashedly immature and humorous, and that what makes them so different than the other manly testosterone packed leading man in this kind of genre. I mean, the monologues and dialogues itself are funny.

Must ignore how good she smells. It is simply chemistry. A physiological reaction. Are you weaker than chemistry? No! You are not. You are a god. Chemistry is your bitch.

Because they are swimming toward love, not away from it.
Good points. They are swimming toward hot sex.
Ashli, they are fish. They don't have sex.

Should be read with the caution, another mindless but highly entertaining read.

I loved Maax’s story; his determination to save Ashli was fun to read, especially his journey back in time. Accidentally Over was my favourite in the series! However, the apocalypse was laughable, it doesn’t feel scary at all, and I thought it could be better. Overall, Accidentally yours series was fun to read and to understand the whole story, it would be better to read all the book.

Now, I’m looking forward to reading the next series – The Immortal Matchmaker and find out about the other character’s love life and trouble that Cimil has in mind for them, probably because we all know that Cimil is a batshit crazy goddess :D.

It's over?

This series has been amazing! Twists, turns, naked clowns, invisible unicorns... Laugh out loud funny and sweet at times, but with a large dash of crazy. Mimi Jean does it again, leaves me wanting more.

Well this was the most strangest and ridiculous book series I’ve ever read... and strangely I enjoyed every minute of it! I’ve never read books where gods were so perfect( 7 feet tall and 11 inch manhoods🤩) and so imperfectly human at the same time. Definitely recommend these books.

Brilliant

I have read each book in the accidentally series and have spent 6 days doing so. Absolutely love the series. I had already read the immortal matchmaker series and saw there was these. Mimi is gifted with her story lines and jokes. Creativity is her middle name.

This final book in the series is just as funny, quirky, and hot as the rest of the series. I really enjoyed the story of Ma'ax. And of course, Cimil provides all of the comic relief.
