[Siren Everlasting Classic: Erotic Consensual BDSM Romance, public exhibition, sex toys, HEA] Kelsey Richards kept the few men she’d allowed in her life at a distance. When her friend introduced her to Gabriel Durand, a man who liked to dominate women, she gave him a wide berth, not interested in any man she couldn’t control. She couldn’t miss her only friend’s wedding, even if it meant she’d have to spend a week on Rapture Island, an island that catered to men like him.The reality of being there, and under Gabriel’s protection, proved more unsettling than she’d bargained for. Kelsey was intrigued by Gabriel’s proposition, though. The idea of submitting to him in return for a week of pleasure was a lure she couldn’t resist. She didn’t want to hear his claim to want more. She didn’t believe it. She’d take the pleasure and walk away. Sex with Gabriel, though, was nothing like she’d imagined, creating a bond she couldn’t fight. He made her feel again. He taught her to love. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
2.5 stars Except for the author telling you that H/h could not get enough of one another, there wasn't a lot of chemistry between them--likely due to very little character development of the Hero. It never stopped disturbing me that the heroine submitted herself to who amounted to be a casual acquaintance (she knew the H only as a customer at her coffee shop and was attracted to him) for a week at a secluded resort and put her safety entirely in his hands. It made no sense to me that this independent woman and savvy business owner anticipated a week in the hands of a Dom but did no research to find out what that would entail and kept herself clueless. It just didn't ring true or make sense...to me. We are all so individual in how we perceive bdsm erotica. If you like explicit bdsm fiction, you might like Constant Craving even though it was not my cup of tea. It is not the best book by Leah Brooke, in my opinion.
Yeah - I live it when an authour gets it back after a few misses! In this story we get back to Rapture Island where Gabriel and Kelsey are attending the wedding of Nick, Steve and Julianna's wedding, which was the ending of Crescendo. Gabriel and Kelsey are on the Island for a week, and it is the week the Gabriel has to convince Kelsey that they belong together. While parts of the book seem repetitious, it really isn't as it explores the little bits that Kelsey gives and then her objections, and it is a progressive battle for Gabriel For every bit Kelsey gives, she comes up with another reason to resist, and when she finally allows herself to allow the possibilities, her surrender is all the more complete and sweet! Gabriel is the same tough and caring guy that was Julianna's champion before her husbands came along. He is steadfast and patient, and oh so sweet to Kelsey, that he really does belong in a book because men like him just can't exist in real life but he is perfect here It is nice to see a good book from Leah Brooke, her last good effort was her Desire book, and I can't wait for the next installment there. Her Dakota series and this series, and I think I will safely stay within those areas as other efforts, while entertaining, simply don't meet the quality of these series
I really loved Cresendo so I figured Kelsey and Gabriel's story would be just as good if not better. It wasn't. It was still good but was hard to finish. I'd read a few chapters then put it down. There was no conflict, no drama....I like a little drama. Instead Kelsey kept questioning Gabriel, and it was the same conversation over and over. It actually was a good book, but it needed something more.
I loved the first book in this one but this one well I don't know it just didn't grab me as much. I'm sorry but Kelsey came off as a whiny bi**h most of the time and Gabriel it seems like he would let her get away with it. I didn't connect with either of them and in the end I was glad it worked out but I wasn't jumping up and down happy.
I've loved everything by this author and was excited to hear about this continuation of this series; however, it fell flat. Only involved the couple on the island, none of the characters, suspense from the previous book. If h was so unhappy she should've slept on the couch or headed back home after her friends wedding rather than constantly whining and being so insecure
Not my favorite Leah Brooke story, but I really liked it. Being insecure and afraid of giving herself to another, Gabriel persists and wins over Kelsey in the end.
