There's no smoke without a fire... and no heat without a flame.
Dylan "Dee" Cosgrove is one fourth of Australian band, The Devil's Tattoo. Loveable, cocky as hell, but one thing is missing. He's never been in love. He doesn't want meaningless, he wants meaningful and all he keeps hearing is I'm sorry… Forever the good guy finishing last.
A year after their first tour, The Devil's Tattoo are making it big in LA recording their next album. For Dee, all he wants is to stand on stage and play. After all, music is his first love. He could care less about the money and the fakery that comes with the LA scene and the big executive types with dollar signs in their eyes. But in walks the woman who is about to obliterate him and she's one of them. So, what's a guy to do when one look is all it takes?
Jessie Ware is an intern at Galaxy Records, New York. When she's asked to go to LA to help her boss schmooze with the latest big thing to come out of Australia, The Devil's Tattoo, it's her chance to get her foot firmly wedged in the door. If she can pull this off, then there could be a permanent job in it. But she didn't count on one thing. Dee Cosgrove and his cocky Australian attitude. He makes her question everything without even trying and it might just push her over the edge... if she doesn't give her heart to him first.
The more Dee gets to know Jessie, the harder he falls and he'd walk over fire and back to win her over. That's if she doesn't deliver him straight into the ranks of the scarred and broken first.
The Fire Walker is a companion novel to The Devil's Tattoo. It can be read as a stand alone, but be aware that there are a few minor spoilers for the first book. It has some sex scenes, colorful language and no cliffhangers! Recommended to readers 18+.

For those who read The Devil’s Tattoo and we were in love with the story, it was an incredible expects his brother The Fire Walker, but the wait was a great reward, the book is amazing!! In the first book,We know the story of Zoe and Will, as well as the formation of the band The Devil’s Tattoo. Now with more writing experience and showing your love for music and this saga, Nicole brings us the story of Dee, a secondary character well loved in the first book.
Dylan “Dee” Cosgrove, has only one love: music, Zoe and Will still together and more in love than ever and the band The Devil’s Tattoo embarks on a journey to America to present their work. Dee still has the same attitude as in the first book, simpatico, loveable, cocky as hell until his world is unbalanced with the fucking but adorable glance of ones Bambi eyes, Jessie Ware, the girl that many fans of Dee probably will hate and loved at the same time.
The book is certainly a rollercoaster of emotions until the end. Nicole takes us on a safe path, then brake, change the speed to something faster, stronger and feel that at some point we’re going to crash with everything in your way and in the end leaves us with a WT WAO! !
My favorite character, Jessie, is the first time I identified with the character of Nicole’s books. Favorite moment of the book: several! Phrase which I remain: Fucking Bambi eyes.
They realized I did not put spoilers? I will only say a few, accompany your reading with a cheeseburger and a cherry coke , (personally I like more the vanilla coke). The Indie, classic rock and punk music are present. And Yeah! there are tattoos.
I loved Dee in the first book and was looking forward to his story. He turned out to be a really sexy, fun hero. I missed the band playing together in this one. They have made it big enough that they are cutting a record in LA, and then they all have a 2-3 month break. Zoe and Will plan to travel around the states before heading back home. Dee falls head over heels for an intern working for the studio in LA. He wants her so bad, he can't contain himself. Well, she has the typical background baggage that makes her skittish and things don't go well to start. Poor Dee loses it and decides to take cross country tour by himself with no plans on where to go or how long to stay. He is in a bad way and his best friend, Zoe, is worried about him. Needless to say, things get interesting and he eventually wins the girl of his dreams. Good second book and looking forward to the next installment. Has the same language barriers and sentence structure issues as the first, but they are few and far between, so still worth the investment of your time to read. Indie books just don' get the same editing attention as regular published books which is a shame.
I loved this book so much that I could not put it down. Dee a famous Aussie singer and Jessie the shy intern/ waitress. A combustible combination if I ever read one. I first time I saw this book was in an email that I got from book enthusiastic. It was intriguing to me and boy was Dee on the front the hottie or what? But all that aside I really loved loved this book. This book had me on an emotional roller-coaster and I think in my opinion that it will have you on one too. This book was great. So I am not gonna write a typical review that most would want to read about that is not my type of writing. I loved this book. I think you will too..Its not a sexy sexy book but it brings it close. The author took me on an emotional journey for sure. So get the tissues out and make sure your kindle is charged. Get in the comfy chair in your jammies and be prepared too take this ride cause it is an awesome one. On and don't forget the tissues popcorn and pizza..Enjoy
I loved Dylan in The Devil's Tattoo and wanted to read his story. He's just as lovable in his book, and Jessie was so sweet. I loved to see Zoe and Will as a couple as well, and see how Zoe and Dee remain as close as ever, this time including Will in their close circle. There were some funny moments when Georgie was stalking Dee and he ran scared. The only thing I found is that this book followed pretty closely in style to Zoe's book. Both girls had a disastrous previous relation that ended in violence and it is used as a dark past that broke them, about which they were stubbornly closed mouthed. Both guys were also very insecure and feeled undeserving of the girls' love. I think the author needs new tooks to develop other plots.
This book was about Dee, Zoe's best-friend, and Jessie. It took me longer to read this one then the first book in the series because this one dragged a little. Don't get me wrong I liked reading about Dee but I thought he was way too stubborn in this book. He should of taken the advice he gave Zoe in the first book and applied in his own relationship.
