Donna's on a team with Jack to protect political candidates as they prepare to win their party nominations for president. Protection detail gets sidelined when candidates drop out when their sins are exposed, until Donna's High School Nemesis turns out to be one of the candidates. Someone sets Donna up as a murderer.
I won't spoil the plot with further details! This was a 194 page book so read it very quickly.
Murder, suspense, sex-and some handy household tips. Well maybe the last should have been actually recipes that were quite interesting.
This mission impossible is for Donna and her team to stop the assassination of both US political parties’ presidential candidates. However, she has a problem with on the candidates that dates back to when she was a teenager and when her mom dies. Despite this Donna is trying to put business first and personal issues aside. With this individual she has to be on her toes as her team is becoming known as party killers (my words) because since they have been on duty at least 3 potential candidates have had to withdraw from the running. I won’t tell you why that you’ll have to read yourself.
Also, Carl is back and legit again has been pardoned. I know how does he do it, he’s got so many lives just like a cat.
So read this book to be update to with what’s going on in Donna’s life and what will she do next?!?

I have never laughed so hard at some if the antics that they end up in . So if you want a great series check out the house wife assassins guide and meet the family
Yet another brilliant instalment in the Housewife Assassin books. I just really feel for Donna. It feels like she never gets a break, and is always getting in trouble for things she hasn't done and being disliked for no reason. Of course, she does have the ever-luscious and sweet Jack to make up for it, so it just may well be worth it. I think there might be lots of trouble on the horizon for our plucky assassin. As always, the book is funny, action-packed, sweet and sexy :)
Donna is at it again. Protecting the world from bad guys, in between raising children and baking. Delicious recipes at the beginning of each chapter, with extra notes on getting rid of your own pesky neighbors.
Hired to protect candidates from both parties, Donna keeps getting into trouble. When the husband of one of the candidates gets killed, Donna gets fired.
This is the sixth book in the series and I read the previous five. I love this author. Her books are clever, funny and sexy. The recipes at the beginning of each chapter were an extra bonus. They all looked delicious and when I can, I intend to try them all. The main character, Donna Stone, is a hoot. I've been rationing these books because I enjoy them so much, I don't want to reach the final one! So I let a month or two go by before I read the next. That's how much I like them!
The series has really kept my attention and making me not want to wait to read the next book. The plot was interesting and full of many twists and turns. There was also one plot twist that I thought was going to happen in last book.
The interesting part of the book is what starts off each chapter.
Like Josies other books in the housewife assassins series, this one was equally entertaining and fun to read as her character Donna Stone has great charm and deadly wit.
I unfortunately purchased the next book before I finished this one. No more.... I am so tired of Carl and his reoccurring presences has made this uninteresting..
I loved this series! Mom by day, assassin/honey pot by night. Can’t get much better than that! I loved the humor, personalities of the characters and the series really gives you it all: romance, comedy, and messy motherhood
I so enjoy the failings of politicians, so this was a great story to read. The fact that a villainous female, an old enemy of Donna's from childhood, CeeCee, is elected as president is cool, but because she's evil, she doesn't get to actually preside.
Donna and her team do a good job protecting candidates, until the soon-to-be-elected president's husband is killed. Donna tries to stop the killer, but instead is framed, until CeeCee's son Evan finds a video showing his mom hiring the assassin to kill her husband Bobby.
Naturally, it all connects to the Quorum, and to Carl, still alive and killing.
I liked Lee, the kind man married to Babette, a Quorum leader's widow, but it seems she traded one Quorum guy for another. Too bad Lee is a baddy, not a goody.
Also really liked the story of Donna's childhood crush on Bobby, the man who's eventually killed. Things also look up for the Stone kids, with Jeff being made class president, Mary figuring out how to navigate high school and meeting Evan, and Trisha, well, being a big girl in grade one.
The recipes added some fun as well, look forward to trying a few. If I ever stop reading long enough!

Love the recipes with each chapter. Well, Josie went and did it. She penned in the most evil of men and now I have to read the next book to Dee if Jack and Donna can survive corruption.
