Subtle Worlds: An Explorer’s Field Notes

Rate this book
“There are so many books on the subject of spirit communication, published over the last 150 years, that we might seriously ask why do we have yet another one from David Spangler? Here is David writes from direct experience, not theory. Significantly he has by-passed all the usual spiritualist and New Age dogma repeated in countless books and courses and offers us instead a direct and clear approach. The subject is presented in the only truly effective way, by comparing the inner spiritual realms to our interactions in the mundane world. Thus we have a text filled with inspiration, insights, and inestimably valuable doses of common sense. I recommend this book highly, and will be encouraging my own students to study it.” R J Stewart, author of The Prophetic Vision and Mystic Life, The Sphere of Art, The Dreampower Tarot, and many others

I love this book. David Spangler can make the subtle dimensions, subtle energies that imbue our world an understandable reality. Some how this book blends with Molecules of Emotion, by Candice Pert and the The Fabric of the Cosmos By Brian Greene. Science and spirituality come closer and closer together. I read it and I feel calm and loved and surrounded by those subtle worlds that encourage us to grow in health, love, truth, and wisdom.

I had heard of David Spangler but had never read his books. I was rather dubious to start with, it is a tricky subject to tackle at the best of times. It is a subject about which the most appalling rubbish has been written.

I need not have worried. Spangler writes well. He freely admits to his limits and makes clear the division between his experiences and his speculation. The fact that he has had a scientific education gives considerable power to his ability to describe and explain.

An enjoyable book and Spangler presents his case rather convincingly.

I picked up this book because of the author's association with Findhorn community and ... I discovered myself hungering to explore and deepen my own partnership with nature. His views, and suggestions, are a perspective that help me deepen and expand in my own life.
