This book will help you prepare for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, N5 - JLPT N5. This volume focuses on the grammar that you will need to know. Each chapter shows a few phrases which you should learn by saying out loud. Once you are comfortable with them you can try the problems at the end of the chapter. These problems are in a similar format to the actual examination.
The translations are sometimes not natural English but are written so as to help your understanding of the Japanese. The book also contains English to help you navigate around it but the actual test is of course entirely in Japanese.
