Power Puff Girls: The Professor
Brief Summary:
Professor Utonium tries to spend some quality time with his girls. He tries to take them for a day at the beach, but the Mayor calls on the hotline there’s an emergency and the town needs saving. They plan to take out the threat quick so they can still have their day, but it takes longer than they think (and they don’t get back until later). The next day they plan to go to the movies, but a monster burst through the screen and they have to deal once again with saving Townsville. So, the Professor goes home and creates a super suit so he can fight crime with his girls. For a minute this goes well. It’s the perfect compromise. They get to spend time and bond. Then the Professor starts to get over the top by calling them all these cutesy names. After fighting Mojo Jo Jo successfully tho, he decides he’s not up for fighting crime (too hard on the body).

My Thoughts:
There is a reason when you see certain comics I’ve reviewed like the Power Puff Girls or the TMNT that go back in time that will hopefully reveal the purpose shortly that will have certain preferences or small hints that make you think of these cartoons and take you back to another time. As for these short stories, I found them on Open Library after a search of watching the cartoon on Netflix and wondering were there also books. I think all the short stories I see where combined into a couple of volumes of a comic series. This one was helpful. I did learn that Professor Utonimum has a super suit. I could use this. I also learn later in the comic that he also gets super powers from a meteor that hits Townsville (which also is very useful to know).

Rating: 7 Good information. Even in the small details of what each Powerpuff Girl likes for breakfast.

My 8-year old daughter read Powerpuff Professor to me. She loves the Powerpuff Girls and had a great time with this book. Some 3rd graders may find some of the big words intimidating, but they should be able to get by. Overall, Powerpuff Professor is a fun read and should not be missed by any child that loves the cartoon.

Personally, I wasn't all that thrilled with Powerpuff Professor, but my daughter loved it.

I rated this book a 7½ out of 10.
