Wild horses
Wild hearts
And a diapered lamb under the Christmas tree. . .

Could life get any more hectic at the Lazy Windmill? With the holidays reminding Casie of every mistake she's ever made, and her assistant Emily struggling to be a single mom, it's anyone's guess what the New Year will bring. Then bad boy Colt Dickenson shows up with a ring. No one has ever gotten under her skin like he has, but Casie can't believe a rough stock cowboy will stick around for the long haul.

But the heart wants what it wants; love is as stubborn as family, foals, and farm equipment. And sometimes you have to face your fears to find the happiness only coming home can bring.

Born on a North Dakota cattle ranch, Lois Greiman graduated from a high school class of sixty students before moving to Minnesota where she professionally trained and showed Arabian Horses for several years. Since that time she's been a high fashion model, a fitness instructor, and a veterinary assistant. But an incurable case of writing fever put a stop to all those occupations.

Since selling her first book to Avon in 1992, she has sold twelve other historical romance novels, most of which are set in medieval Scotland and involve her very popular Forbes clan. In an attempt to pursue her love of humor, Ms. Greiman has also recently sold three romantic comedies to Harlequin Enterprises.

While caring for three children, fifteen horses, and a menagerie of pets on her small farm in Minnesota, Ms. Greiman writes full time, producing two or three novels a year and garnering much praise from readers and reviewers alike. Affaire de Coeur called HIGHLAND WOLF "magnificent." Romantic Times proclaimed LADY AND THE KNIGHT"...pure magic." Christina Dodd proclaims "Lois Greiman delivers....The Fraser Bride offers delightful characters, breathless adventure."

Her Highland novels have received Affaire de Couer's Critic's Choice Award, Romantic Times K.I.S.S. Award, and been nominated for Romance Writer's of America's prestigious Rita. Her titles have appeared on Barnes and Nobles Best Selling Romance list and won her the Midwest Fiction Writer's Rising Star Award.

I won this book in a Goodread giveaway.

It is going to be hard for me to give a helpful review of this book. Finally Home is part of a series of books called Hope Springs and unfortunately I have not read any of the other books in this series.

The book was well written, the setting and characters well thought out and developed. However, because of my lack of knowledge for the characters back stories, I found it hard to follow or understand a lot of the relationships between the characters.

My advice would obviously be to read the first novels in this series prior to reading this one.

What a sweet, fun, charming read! The Lazy Windmill is the name of the ranch in South Dakota where this book takes place, and it is anything but lazy. From beginning to end this book has something going on all the time.If you love stories about misfits then you will have no problem falling in love with every single character in this book.

Casie and Colt have known each other since they were in school. They have shared a kiss, but now Colt is ready to share his life – all he has to do is convince Casie. However, as you will read, it proves way more difficult than it sounds. Casie and Colt serve as surrogate parents for their brood which consist of Emily, Sophia and Ty. All three are teenagers that need love, stability, safety, and most importantly someone who believes in them. All three are unique characters with their own stories to tell, and all three will have your heart tied in knots.

There is A LOT going on in this book. You have the main story of Casie and Colt, but each secondary character, Emily, Sophia and Ty, along with the ranch’s guests all have equally interesting and appealing stories. They are all woven together beautifully and flow smoothly to give you a heart-warming read. Symbolism is strong throughout the book, but it just adds to the charm and warmth of the read. You will be left thinking yes there are still good people left in the world, and wishing there were a few more “Casie” and “Colts” out there – especially for young trouble teenagers.

I was so sad at the end, but only because it ended. This was a great series, three books in total. I loved the characters and how they developed, the crazy dialogue, the setting - everything! I would not call this book (series) a romance, more like a fun woman's fiction. One minute I was laughing the next moment I was crying. It is going to be a long time before I find another good fiction to read. I remember picking up the first book in the series on a whim and zipped through it. I immediately had to check for the following books in the series. As a librarian, I have been recommending these to a lot of patrons.

I got Finally Home by Lois Greiman as part of goodreads first reader program.

I started reading this book and had to stop as I found it hard to catch up on all the characters life and stories (this is book three in the series) went to amazon and got part one and two. From my personal experience I would suggesting reading all the books in this series in order. This is a warm and loving stories told by a great story teller Lois Greiman. The characters stories are all woven together in an interesting and entertaining way. Found all the characters to be quite interesting.

Loved it. I've enjoyed all three books in the series and was sad to see it end. I'm going to miss Casie and Emily and Colt. And I wanted to watch Bliss grow up. Another book maybe? Please?

Another romance by a woman who writes such novels regularly and has won awards for her efforts. I am not normally a reader of romances but I am trying to move them off my shelf. In addition, this one is located in my home state. The book is well written with considerable interaction among the characters.

Casie and Colt are the main characters. A cowboy whose passion is riding broncos, Colt wants to form a different life since his last ride injured him. He has known Casie since childhood. Casie owns a ranch and cares for "lost" children and lost horses. Troubled teenagers live with her bringing their baggage, backgrounds and talents with them. There is conflict, chaos and lots of love. It's a smooth and quich read which should please readers who love romances.,

These are the the first books that I have read by Lois Greiman and I really enjoyed them. It is a series and the story doesn't end until the end of the third book. I don't ever love that. I like the different books to be focused on different characters but they were still fast to read and had lots of people in the story that I wanted to follow all of them. Also anybody who knows me knows I love a good cowboy story.

Happiness for One and All

To really enjoy this book you need to read the first two books in the H hope Springs trilogy. Together they make up one of the best stories I've ever read, and I read a lot. The characters grab your heart and refuse to let go. Lois Greiman puts in enough twists and turns to keep your interest to the end. Then you wish there was more to read.

3.5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ awwwwww such a sweet wrap up to the trilogy! I only wish I had read them closer together! I really came to love these characters!! This is a slow romance, but the H had to prove himself over time! The side stories were great too. I Will definitely look into other books by this author.

I listened to this book on Audible and enjoyed the narration. This is the end of the story and I guess it was all wrapped up with a bow — although I just felt like there was a lot missing. I did enjoy the series though.

A sweet story that I couldn't put down.

I love Lois Greiman's books. They're impossible to put down because the characters feel like beloved friends that you just can't bear to leave.

Another in the Lazy Windmill series. This one added a bit of depth to the characters and kept me guessing a few times. A story that shows you don't have to be blood relatives to be family.

Finally Home by Lois Grieman
Series continues with Casie still on the ranch where her father had left her everything when he died. Emily is there cooking and raising the goats along with Bliss her daughter.
Sophie is there when her father has other things to do on the island with young woman. Ty is from a neighboring farm and helps them out daily. Colt is a bronc rider but likes to help them fix things around the ranch.
Casie has taken in strays-not only people but animals so the ranch is fast growing. Emily also bakes for neighbors and makes a good profit. They take boarders in for a week that also helps pay for the ranch.
Each of the guests and people who work at the ranch have their own problems and it's interesting to see how they want to help the others out, sometimes it's not the right choice but it's up to them to decide...

I was disappointed about how this book and series ended. I loved the first two books of the series and was looking forward to finding out how the relationships built in the series would turn out. While there was resolution (it ended as romances do) the resolutions were abbreviated and unsatisfying. After three books of unresolved feelings, struggles and growing love the two main characters ended up together because Casie had the sense knocked into her. Within one page Casie was happy but afraid of a relationship with Colt and woke up eager to commit. It seems as if the author was writing and someone called "time's up!" and she raced to the finish. I would have liked (and still would like) more about how the characters made the switch from conflict to resolution in their romantic relationships. A very unsatisfying end to an otherwise great series.

I received this book from this site as a preview and loved it!! The most difficult part of reading this book was that it was part of a series and it took me a while to catch up on the story line! The author is able to tell her story through the complicated characters she has created and the twists and turns their lives take. After reading Finally Home I am anxious to go back and read the first two books in this series!
I am also excited to think that she plans to continue with this story line! Thanks for the opportuity to read a book by the author Lois Greiman, she is an author I will add to my to read list!! :-)

Loved this book! I saw that others felt they needed to read the other books in the series, but I wasn't aware that this was even a series! The book stood on it's own. The characters were loveable, the situations believable with a great story line. I hope that there are more books about Cassie and Colt, Ty and Sophia and Emily and David in the future.

I won this book on Goodreads and it was just that...a good read!

I enjoyed how Casie was continually taking in "strays" and trying to make their life more enjoyable. The author did a good job in developing the characters and the storyline. I especially enjoyed the baby and the lamb - they showed the tender side of everyone who held them. I would recommend to others who enjoy and easy going romance.

OK. I read this book on my Kobo, it is the third book in a trilogy according to the publisher. The problem I had with it was that it COULD have been done as 1 book, there was a lot of extraneous stuff that could have shortened it, thus making it a lot cheaper. I ended up paying almost $30 for the series because I got hooked on finding out the ending which seriously p*ssed me off! Live & Learn!!

I won this book in the giveaways section. I very much enjoyed the dialog between the characters and the differences between them. Because it is the second in a series, it was difficult to understand the full history of each character. Regardless, it was still a very pleasant read.

Wanted to knock the heroine in the head a time or two for being so pigheaded and obtuse. But human beings are like that, and emotions are tricksy things. Besides, where else would the angst come from if not for tricksy things and pigheadedness? I liked this one a lot.
