Too many of us live segmented lives, with God residing in one of our many compartments, all of which focus on our own fulfillment. We often struggle because we want God to fulfill our agenda, not follow His. The Kingdom Agenda helps us re-prioritize our lives according to kingdom values, and apply biblical principles to our everyday living.

Anthony Tyrone "Tony" Evans Sr. is an American evangelical pastor, speaker, author, and widely syndicated radio and television broadcaster in the United States. Between 1976 and 2024, Evans served as senior pastor at the over-9,500-member Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas.
One of the better books that I've read in seminary. Evans contends (and it's hard to disagree with him) that society is decaying. Individuals refuse to take responsibility for their actions, families are focused on materialism and whatever brings them happiness, and the church is having very little influence on society. Evans' thesis is that “God is operating His universe by His kingdom agenda" (125). He spends the first five chapters of his book defining what the kingdom agenda is, "the visible demonstration of the comprehensive rule of God over every area of life” (25). He follows those five chapters with twenty chapters of application. No area of life is left untouched by God's kingdom agenda.
This is a great book by an outstanding man of God. Brother Evans explains how God's Kingdom agenda should work in every aspect of life - individual, family, church and government. I strongly recommend it.
