AlTonya Washington has been an author for 20 years. She’s traditionally, independently and scholarly published, a winner of the Romance Slam Jam EMMA Award, and two-time winner of The Romantic Times Magazine Reviewer's Choice Award.

She's a librarian, film buff and music junkie and enjoys writing in an array of genres: T. Onyx erotica, Ally Fleming interracial romantic suspense, and Temple Carver mainstream romantic suspense. She's best known for her long-running Ramsey/Tesano multicultural romantic suspense series.

This is my first full fledged Ramsey book and I have to say I am hooked. Smoak and Sabra talk about hot! These two are off the charts. They had chemistry for years, and I was happy that I read A Lover's Origin: A Ramsey Novella before this one because it really helped me to understand their storyline a bit better. I really love the family dynamic between the Ramsey's & Tesano's. This mystery seems like it is going to get juicier and juicier in the upcoming books in the series. To get caught up I am definitely going to start this series from the beginning to see how everyone got together....I am soooo late it seems!

Oh my! A Lover's Hate was full of suspense and intrigue. Sabra and Smoak were a great pairing as a couple, they both had strong personalities and deep love for each other. Be prepared for some surprising twists and turns in this book. Another exceptional read to add to your collection.

Keep em coming

I can barely focus on writing the review for this book because I am so desperate to start the next one and find out what happens to...... Do t want to spoil it for anybody! My God this was definitely a page turner. That Sabra is a piece of work but I loved diving deeper I to her character. I loved the glimpses of Georgia and Felix as well because I was wondering what happened with them after County and Fern's wedding. Sabra and Smoak's story was interesting and quite unexpected to say the least. But they !may have become one of my favorite couples. Now I needs to keep reading because I need to know who this 'E' is!

This was a great, intriguing story! AlTonya Washington doesn't waste anytime jumping right into this story; and it is fast-paced from the very beginning. There are a lot of characters throughout this book - and I know I should have started at the beginning of the series; but starting with this one made it a little harder to follow for me. It definitely makes me want to go back and read the series from the beginning.

A Lover's Hate also ends with a great cliff-hanger! This is a great read for a rainy weekend or beach trip!

must say that I am in awe of the writing skills of Ms. Washington. I absolutely loved this book. I have all of the books in the Ramsey / Tesano Saga and I must say, it gets better and better each time. Sabra and Smoak's story is one of love, revelations and eye openers. I was on pins and needles waiting for the book to come out and was not disappointed. If it were possible to give it 100 stars I would, but sadly I am limited to 5 stars :). I HIGHLY recommend this book, you will not be disappointed. I hope the next one is quick to be released!!

Once again I was CAUGHT UP in the thrill of all the mystery and suspense surrounding the Ramsey & Tesano family...ABSOLUTELY loved it...unfortunately I was NOT as thrilled by the BIZARRE relationship between Sabra and Smoak...BUT I'm still glad they found a way back to each other despite some seriously TROUBLING issues they both NEED to overcome...and OMG talk about a CLIFFHANGER...all I have to say is I hope Ms. Washington doesn't keep us waiting to long for the next installment...all in all I'm still ENJOYING this AMAZING roller coaster ride!

Smoak & Sabra's story was a little different from the rest due to the issues Sabra was having. The book did answer some of the questions I had after reading A Lover's Origin. I can't wait for the next Book in this series.
