I live in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, on the shores of Green Bay. I have always been a voracious reader of romances, mostly historical romances and sweeping historical sagas. I love researching different time periods and imagining what life was like back then so it seems only natural to write historical romances. My one vice, aside from reading romances, is coffee. I melt beneath the intoxicating sway of a strong white mocha latte promising to embrace my senses and carry me away. Mmmm . . . I can visualize the steam rising from that frothy cup as I sit here thinking of it.

I write Historical Romance novels and non-fiction essays on women and feminist movement throughout history. I have a Bachelors Degree in History and also in Humanistic Studies with an emphasis in Ancient and Medieval Research.

Aside from good romance, good coffee and history, I am also passionate about art and enjoy reading about the lives of artists through the ages.

While the writing wasn't all bad, I found these characters to be incredibly frustrating. Lord Dillon is either treating Tara like some fragile piece of glasswork, or being an alpha dickhead. There is no middle ground, which is rather jarring. He goes from one scene where he is acting like she is some holy fae goddess, to another where he is basically manhandling her and demanding she scrub his back. And then of course, he reverts to being afraid to tarnish her with his dirty mortal thoughts.

And Tara...well let's just say that she has both the most convenient and confusing case of fictional amnesia I have ever read. She doesn't remember who she is, which is convenient for the plot, but she also remembers quite a few details about her life. She doesn't know she is from the future, but she knows she is in the past. She remembers songs, and even what a fucking iPod is, but thinks she actually is some chick from Dillon's past who got shipwrecked near the Irish coast. When the plot needs her to be oblivious to something, it makes her amnesia kick in, but it does so regardless of the fact that it directly contradicts actions and thoughts of previous chapters. While I have never quite enjoyed amnesia subplots, this is just insane. It's like her amnesia has a intermittent case of amnesia.

I can't see this getting any better so I'm calling DNF @30%

I have loved Time Travel Romance novels since I first discovered a Lynn Kurland book years ago, so when I can across this book I instantly snatched it up. I am glad I did.

Tara O'Neill graduate student studying history who works at a local radio station. One evening when a
violent storm spawns power outages, she must keep broadcasting severe warnings to local residents. Quickly the storm intensifies and the station goes off line forcing Tara must reboot the transmitter . While in the process of doing just that lightning strikes and Tara is hurtled back in time.

Adrian, Lord Dillon, needs a bride, immediately, to escape his enemy’s plan to force him to marry his daughter. He has always respected the Fairy Race. As a boy, he played with them in the secret glen and was warned that one day he would be called upon to shelter one of their own who has lost her way among mortals . . .

Adrian rescues Tara from British soldiers who are prepared to torture her for information. He takes her back to his castle and concocts a plan to protect them both.

When Tara wakes up in Lord Dillon’s castle she only remembers bits and pieces of her life before meeting him, but with little other choice she falls in line with Lord Dillon's plan. However, in her heart she knows that she does not belong in this place. This feeling is only reinforced by her mother-in- law and the other characters she comes in contact me.

As the story progresses Tara and her husband travel to Dublin, and she learns the truth about her husband and his role in the Irish rebellion against England. Tara knows that the rebellion will fail although she can not remember or explain how she does. And that is when the fun really starts.

I truly enjoyed this book. The Tara and Adrian were well developed who I wanted to see succeed. The plot was complex and well thought out. The author did an excellent job of incorporating historical facts without bogging down the story and her attention to detail was great. As a reader I could clearly picture each scene. The secondary characters in the story were well written and added to the story. I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys Time Travel Romance.

There are quite a few angles to this story, more than I was expecting.
Some Enchanted Waltz begins at a radio station where there is an approaching storm. This being a Time Travel Romance it seemed to me that it would be obvious to every reader what was going to happen. But I didn’t mind, it seemed to me that it really wracked up the anticipation.
Tara is transported back to Ireland in the 1700’s at a turbulent time in history where she meets the handsome Lord Dillon and the main story begins. There is romance, a revelation about Tara’s early life, a friend from her past and the danger of an underground movement working against British rule. It was a lot to handle and the author managed it well. The story moved along at a good pace and the progress of the action was always clear. I loved the ‘cloak and dagger’ plot that threads through the whole, rumbling up to the surface and back again. For me, this was the most exciting part and made the story an adventure.
I have to say that Tara accepted her new situation (being in the past) without the incredulity I would expect - but honestly, I think that is just me. I have read other similar stories and I always feel the same way! There was also, for me some conflict between the ‘modern’ Tara and her ‘in the past’, ladylike persona.
All in all this is a fun, easy read; a well-executed story with a strong love story and a wonderfully dashing leading man. Though this is a complete story without annoying unanswered questions that can make for a disappointing conclusion, there is an obvious opening for a follow-on in the spirit of ‘the further adventures of.’ I hope that the author goes ahead and produces the next instalment! Enjoy!

I liked the idea of this book. Maybe on a different day I would feel better about it, but I don't think so. My problem with this is the constant pop culture references. Johnny Depp, Dr. McDreamy, Hotel California.. and if you're making the reference, you don't have to explain it. If you say this place reminds you of the Hotel California, okay, we get it. Everyone gets it. You don't have to say that song by the Eagkes where you can check out but you can never leave. This gives the writing a juvenile vibe and comes off as rather amateur. Anyway, it was annoying and went into the DNF pile, which is disappointing because I seem to spend more time looking for my next book than actually reading.

The description was interesting and had things that hooked me into wanting to read it but I put off seriously considering this book, because the cover implied it was the kind of book I wouldn't necessarily be interested in. I decided to quit vacillating over it and just get it and read it.

It was the right book at the right time, for me.

Tara, the leading lady in this time-travel romance, is a grad student in Irish history, working at a rural radio station. During a severe thunderstorm she and another radio station employee are repairing the station transformer when lightening strikes through the transformer and she is transported through time and space to 1800s Ireland.

She is rescued and taken to the care of a local nobleman who has been fending off a forced, and unwanted marriage to a local girl, by saying he's expecting his fiancé from America any day now. She becomes his fictitious fiancé, having suffered amnesia and being none the wiser to the truth that he's conveniently casting her into the role.

There is quite a lot of historical information about Ireland vs. England of the time, intrigue involving the leading man and his undercover activities in the Irish Rebellion, along with a bit of paranormal even beyond a radio station explosion tumbling the poor thing back through time. The supposed betrothed actually thinks she is Fey, sent to save him from his enemy's clutches. She is simply confused in her amnesia.

As things unfold, there is rather comical drama and I enjoyed that part very much. Not just a straightforward canned romance story.

Indeed, this book departs from the expected formula and there is a very cool bit of paranormal spice added to the whole package towards the end.

Time Travel, clever twists, and a wonderful paranormal surprise along with historical romance. Despite my initial misgivings and dithering to finally read this, I am very glad that I did. It wasn't perfect, but it was very good in my opinion.

This one turned out to be quite some adventure. It went into directions, I couldn't have predicted when I started it.
I loved the storytelling here. The heroine did annoy me a few times, especially in the first half.
Where there some silly moments? Yes, but they were entertaining. I mean its a time travel, there will be some silly. :)

There is a lot of stuff going on here and its almost non stop action towards the end.
Very entertaining. I did very much enjoy the historical setting. I can't say I have read much set in Ireland. And this was set during the failed uprising in 1798, when Ireland fought against the british rule.

I just finished this one....a time travel for sure, but with an extra fantasy twist that added a lot of fun, and emotion too! I truly enjoyed this book, it invoked laughter and tears, and the story twined around the Irish rebels of the 1700s, so true historical romance. Highly recommend this one to anyone into the historical romance genre, and if you like a bit of paranormalcy, all the better. This one is definitely a keeper for me...as I have said repeatedly, I read solely for pleasure, and this book DEFINITELY served that purpose, a really cool story!! The ending was left in a way that there could be more adventures, and I hope the author pursues that line someday!

This was my first time travel book and I found that I enjoyed the genre more than I expected I would. As I read, I put myself in Tara's place and felt her experiences as though they were mine. The author must have done a lot of historical research, but wrote facts that tied into the story without it becoming a textbook. The ending of the book was perfect for a sequel, so I'm looking forward to it.

This was an unexpected great read. LOVE time travel. This book had wonderful historical facts that helped the reader to engage with the time period and the lives of the characters. I hope there is a sequel to the story to find out what happens after the book's ending.

This one was just meh for me. It was slow going, and boring. I actually skipped a lot of the middle just to see how it ended. I gave it 2 stars because I did like it, I just would have liked it a lot more if it wasn't so slow. Most of the stuff in it just seemed like filler to me.
