Will Kate, Doc and Piper survive the Cartel killers? Will Kate live to donate a kidney, and, if so, to whom? What about her feelings for Cade Rexton, the empathic and handsome transplant surgeon?

About the author

I grew up in Indiana farm country and dreamt of flying and donating a kidney someday.

My husband practices forensic pathology, so I organized and operated Forensic Fliers and we did forensic autopsies in the midwest.

The Kate Swift Medical Thriller Series, Kidney Kartel, Transplant Island, and Forensic Fliers, coming soon, grew out of our experiences flying and forensics.

Organ donation is a wonderful and generous gift, but unfortunately when criminals get involved, it turns into a nightmare of illegal trafficking. Kate Swift runs Forensic Fliers with her partner Doc, her forensic pathologist, and together they fly throughout Indiana to perform forensic autopsies and encourage organ donation. When they come to the attention of a Mexican drug cartel, they encounter an illegal operation with a nefarious group who are trafficking in stolen kidneys. A chain of events is set in motion and Kate and Doc are both in danger. With the aid of an undercover federal agent and a powerful military alliance, will they escape and be able to stop the Mexican cartel and its powerful boss, Don Jefe, who is suffering from end stage kidney failure and in dire need of a compatible kidney? 

This is a fast-paced thriller, proceeding at lightening speed. The cartel is brutal and no one is safe. Any enemy can be useful as a donor and Don Jefe’s henchmen will use any diabolical plot to achieve their goal. There is a harrowing airport landing that had me holding my breath and so many terrifying moments throughout. If you like your thrillers full of heart-stopping danger and high adrenaline, evil villainous acts, you will want to start this series.
