SXSW 2014. South by Southwest is an interactive, music and film festival in Austin, Texas and since Comixology has a major presence there this weekend, it gave some free books accessible to its subscribers as it launched some major initiatives. This is one of those books.

The DC Comics Digital First initiative have produced a lot of excellent books that would otherwise not make it to their new 52 line of print comics. I'm a big fan of Batman '66 and Li'l Gotham. This time, because of an SXSW 2014 freebie I get to try another of the Digital First offering with one that has a rather unwieldy title, Scribblenauts Unmasked: A Crisis of Imagination.

It is a digital comic intended for an all-ages audience but to my surprise I found myself entertained by the cutely drawn characters. I like it because it has a gaggle of characters that now rarely appear together in a new 52 comic book. Also, the characters, as visualized in their cutesy forms by artist Adam Archer is entertaining by itself.
