Have you ever wondered how the sewing machine was invented? Given the book I’m reviewing, you may not be surprised to learn that the inventor saw the finer details in a dream!

I am a dreamer.

I’ve often wondered about the complexities of dreams, and how (and why) my brain would deliver certain scenes. Over the years I’ve read numerous articles and forums. This book offers some answers - through a religious perspective - being written by a pastor, but ultimately delves into the spirituality of dreams.

This book is a journey, one that requires time and reflection. At this stage, I haven’t had a miraculous breakthrough, but feel like I am on the right path and more aware than when I began.

One to keep close and come back to.

I’m glad I read this book! I had a lot of moments of pause and meditation as I read. The way Stephanie delves into dreams, the types of dreams, the barriers to hearing God etc. it’s so structured and easy to understand. This is such an enlightening book. Something that really struck me was the revelation that God doesn’t just want to speak to us through our dream life but in our waking moments too.

The idea that each and every one of our senses can be used to discern and to hear God was a wild thought to me that I really hadn’t thought about as deeply. Definitely one of those books you keep on a nearby shelf as a practical guide to go back to. Not only does Stephanie speak with such wisdom and authority but the gems in this book are incredibly useful for daily living.

I’ve been waiting for this book. I have followed Stephanie Ike Okafor’s ministry for quite a while now. I have often had questions about my dreams but I don’t trust every source. I was very pleased with this book. I learned so much. I love how the author used scriptural references as well as personal testimony throughout he book. This is a book I highly recommend adding this book to your library.

This book was way too long. Glad I read it on audible or I wouldn’t have finished it. I encounter Stephanie through Instagram and found her preaching sound so I like to hear her when the Spirit leads.

This was a good book on the power of dreams/visions. But I found it a “bit” too long. I have found that the majority of the time less is more and it seems she was giving too much power on the aspect of dreams, hence why I didn’t pick this book sooner.

As someone who has experienced having spiritual dreams I had to bring those dreams back to the Lord and pray for interpretation rather than making it my own erroneous thinking. Some were really spiritual, some of them were not.

Again, that’s why prayer is very important. I think this book can be a mislead of having dreams is our primary way of God speaking to us or that this is a norm in our walk with the Lord and while it can be, one most not be focused on hearing God through dreams constantly because He speaks through many different avenues… and while I can see it could be a main leading way in Stephanie’s life, not everyone are led the same way.

I liked that she emphasized to always bring back your dreams to prayer but the fact that she explained so much of her experiences of dreams seems like it can be misleading to readers believe this is always the norm.

I also gave it four stars because I found myself drifting away from the story multiple times. What truly helped me finish it so quickly was that I’m in a roadtrip and I wanted to finish this book asap, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have picked it up again.

Personal opinion: Use your own interpretation and pray for direction.

This book was what I needed. My sis in love gifted me this book for my birthdays I love how this book gave me the understanding of how God works through your dreams. I loved how you use biblical text to let you see how God worked through those in the word and came to them in dreams. How Joseph interpreted dreams. I definitely will be coming back to this book. It really made me look more jnto the dreams Ive had or even those that have came to past.

This verse was in one of the chapters when the author made reference of the scripture that we need to make room for God to met us in a space that we have made ready for Him to fill. With that reference the point that she drove is that the quality of our preparedness can expand our capacity for encounters with God in our sleep. On how what we feed our minds have an impact to our dreams.

The book gave me a new perspective on dreams and how to discern God’s voice through them. It encouraged me to reflect deeply on my own dreams and the outcomes of certain dreams that I had. What I liked it was the biblical reference or context and how she also cautioned that we need to be certain that those dreams are from God as the fruits that they bear should be good. I will definitely go back to this book for a reminder of the principle that Stephanie shared.

This book is a great read if you are interested in learning more about your night dreams. It provides a great structure on where to begin, how to cultivate deeper meaning and understanding. Most importantly, how to gain spiritual clarity on our night visions. Stephanie Ike provided foundation, evidence based knowledge and prompts to help guide readers. I am a dreamer myself and o will be referring back to this book quite often.

I find the information in this book true. I think that it's for someone who has no clue about their dreams and where to start. As someone who has had dreams since I was a child, it didn't give me the depth I needed to grow in the knowledge of my gift. This is a great starter book but as I said, I was already aware of what she provided in the book and was looking for something to give a little more depth and advanced guidance.

Strong 3 stars. Stephanie is gifted and annointed and shares deep insight into dreams and their meanings. However her life personal and professional are blessed in many ways so it was hard to see the challenges she tried so hard to share. She has a natural dream gift and sharing that with others is hard because dreaming is hard for many people. And those are the people reading this book. It felt like dreaming came easy to her so it was hard to relate. She also has a husband who dreams and they met each other through dreams so again this can make a reader feel hopeless as there’s no grain to scratch. She does give good advice on how to improve dream quality through prayer fasting etc. Perhaps if this was a book from a non dreamer who now dreams it would different. Midway through the book I lost myself and found it hard to finish. I would have liked to read more about dreams as gates and portals which she does touch on in beginning. The beginning is strong. I recc this book to anyone who is a Stephanie fan or is curious about dreams w a Christian twist.

This book gave a lot of good insights to dreams but not nearly enough. Part 2 is the most importantly and best part of the book. It offers a lot of good key insights to how to look at dreams. However a majority of the book is confusing and hard to relate to. Also the dream section was only in part 2 and part 1 and 3 do not really relate. Overall I did get some good info out of this book just not nearly as much as I wanted to. I think the power of dreams is a bit of a misnomer.

I was familiar with Stephanie Ike Okafor through her preaching which always speaks straight to my soul, so I was quite excited to read this book.

What an interesting topic “the power of your dreams”. I also feel this is a topic that isn’t routinely discussed in the Christian community, so much of it I found to be extremely informative as well as heart altering.

I prayer the prayer for allowing God to speak to me through my dreams and the first night my gpa (who I lost 2 years ago) came to me in a dream. What a blessing.

All of Stephanie’s information was backed up with scriptural evidence as well as experience that she had herself.

I felt this book gave me a guide to experiencing God through many forms in life but especially dreams. She provided specific prayers and dos and donts that can aide in you dream experience.

I would recommend this book to all my Christian friends. ♥️

I appreciate this book. I am a spiritual lead believer in Jesus Christ and it is important to not read just any book on dreams. This was the perfect book on dreams for me. She does give practical common dream interpretations. I had a dream where I saw a name on a screen. She gave a great suggestion on looking up the names meaning. That was extremely helpful in decoding my dream. I never thought to do that. I love that she backs things up with biblical scripture. She teaches prayer, fasting and leaning on God on speaking to us regarding our dream questions. Lean not on your own understanding but in all your ways submit to Him and he will direct your path. I hope this review is helpful to someone that maybe wondering if this is the book for them.

Had I never heard her sermons, this book would have been even more capturing. But as an avid listener of her messages, some chapters were somewhat repetitive to me. Since there are many things about dreams I am curious about, I was expecting some emphasis or depth in some aspects that were not mentioned, thus the 4 stars. Regardless, this is a must-read to every Christian who desires to know more about how God speaks through dreams and how to have the right posture to hear what He says. Definitely will be repeating this one.

The best Christian book on dreams that I've read so far. I really like that the author points us to God and His word all throughout the book! There were a couple of things that I felt were a bit "iffy", but if you read it and search the Scriptures, you will know the truth. An interesting and good view of dreams, overall, I believe.

A great Spirit-filled book teaching me the significance of dreams and how they are another portal in which God can reveal His plans, wisdom and guidance to us! God desires us to SEEK Him with our all and He reveals Himself more and more as we pursue Him with devoted desire. A book that really delves into the importance of an intimate daily relationship with our Creator. This importantly gives concrete ideas oho'how' to do it rarely written. The Creator is always ready and waiting and it is WE who must put more effort into proper preparation of our hearts and minds to meet and listen to him as He uses dreams and lots of other ways to communicate to us.

This is one of those books you definitely have to read more than once and take notes. Today is 11/7 and since finishing this on 11/3 I’ve definitely noticed a change in how I remember my dreams and even what kind of dreams I’m having. I used to say my prayers and go to sleep. I only really paid attention to dreams if they were outrageously wild lol. I’ve been praying for God to speak to me in my dreams more, help me remember my dreams, and also help me interpret what they mean. I’m still working on the interpretation part, but I’m seeing progress in remembering which is nice. Highly recommend getting this book, reading it multiple times, and annotating it!

There are so many takeaways. I particularly love the analogies Stephanie uses to give a clear understanding of the context in #Scripture quoted. Psalm 23:4 and many others. A great read and lots of food for thought. Dreams are so much more than just dreams. Read for more insights.
