In her book Sarah DeAnna shares some good advice for looking good. Even though I am not sure if I need a super model to tell me that. Basically, enough sleep, good nutrition (no junk food and not too much of anything, not too many carbs), no drugs, and some exercise are the the staples of model beauty. She is adamant that drug abuse and eating disorders turn models into ugly girls and are not good for their careers. She also claims that most models lead a healthy life style, and that's why they are so good looking, along with tons of self esteem and charisma. I am not totally convinced about her claims that most models are not anorexic or don't do drugs.
She advocates that good food will make our hair shiny and our skin glowing and keep the weight down. This I believe, but it is not new to me.
She encourages girls/women to find their inner beauty and to embrace their looks, no matter what they look like.
If this book will help some young girls/women believe in themselves and keep them from starving themselves in the name of beauty, then it has done a good deed.
Her five keys to good looks:
1. Self Awareness
2. Beauty sleep
3. De-stressing
4. Modercizing (natural movement)
5. Intuitive eating

I couldn't get into it. A large part of the begining was proving that models aren't anorexic. I just didn't really care. For one, I don't think they are all anorexic. . .so why do I have to read chapters on it? I wanted the freaking tips, but I dnf'd before she eventually got to them, I guess.

Received courtesy of Net Galley for an honest review. Nothing new here that we haven't seen in other health related fitness books. Just an okay read for me.
