A Summit Reader: Essays and Lectures in Honor of David Noebel's 70th Birthday

Rate this book
Known universally and affectionately as Doc, David Noebel has touched the lives of tens of thousands of students at Summit Ministries, over which he has presided for well over 40 extraordinary years. Under his leadership, that ministry has grown both nationally and internationally. Doc has witnessed first hand how his efforts have flowered among and across three generations of students. Many of those he taught in the 1960s later sent their children to him, and those children are now doing the same with their own, fully confident that the invaluable training they received at his hands will set their own progeny in good stead, no matter what challenges they might face well into the 21st century.

“And only slowly did I come to understand that to destroy is easy, that to build is hard, and that to preserve is hardest of all.” — Michael Bauman

I didn’t love every essay in this book, but there are some absolute gems. Lots of helpful thoughts on government, environmentalism, philosophy, and other areas of worldview.
