***** I receive an ARC copy for an exchange of an honest review *****

This is the first book that I read from this author.

I just finish reading this book, and I have to say that I love it from the first page to the last, love the characters, and love how the book turned out to be, in this book has a little of everything, Romance, comedy, and Drama, this is the type of book that would grab your attention from the beginning I have to say I couldn't put the book down, and now I just wanted to keep on reading more I did not want the book to finished.

Karlie McKenna is an interior design, she has being through a lot, life gave her some unpleasant surprise when she was in school, do to some of those surprise it made her life to change, she became to dedicate her life to her job and to stay lonely, meaning she did not date and did not trust man at all. But all that change the moment that her boss asked her for a meeting, Karlie did not have any idea what the meeting was about, when she got to the office that's when her boss presented her with an opportunity of a life time.

When Karlie accepted to go to Las Vegas, the following day she set and ready to go, once in the her air plain seat she meets the very Handsome and Sexy man Michael. During that time Michael and Karlie have a strong attraction toward each other, but too bad that she wont see him again, once Karlie was settle and ready to meet up with her new boss she was in shock to see who it was, what they both did not expect was the chemistry they had for each other was going to turned their life's up side down.

I love to read about this two characters, love the banter that they have between each other, and love the way they will flirt and their sex scene are hot.

I really enjoy reading this book, Author Kelley Maestas THANK YOU for introducing me to this amazing characters and this awesome book Love it.

Blah.. That's the first word that comes to mind when I describe this book. The characters were blah, the plot was blah and the ending was just stupid. Karlie had me shaking my head constantly .. What an annoying character.. And Michael blah.. I am so tired of these plots that have the characters I love in a matter of minutes and these ridiculous plots .. She was crying over everything .. OMG my picture was taken I need to cry. Blah don't waste your time with this one. Glad it was free

*ARC provided by the author in return for my honest review for the book tour

The storyline for this book was so well thought out and the attention to detail in regards to interior design and the whole concept of the creation of Tempo was cleverly done.

Karlie McKenna is a loner but is happy living with her solitude. She has a good job as an interior designer with good prospects but she doesn’t let anyone close. After what she has been through in the past and so badly let down by someone she trusted, she has learnt to not be placed in that position ever again. She always looks on life with the ‘glass half empty’ frame of mind and as such when her boss asks her to come into work early for a private talk she fears the worst. She is therefore astounded with the opportunity and praise given to her by her boss, Anna, and finds herself on a plane to Las Vegas the next day to head up a design project for a new high end resort called Tempo which she will need to represent her company and bid for.

It was whilst she was on the flight out that she finds herself seated next to a totally sexy man who introduces himself as Michael. She has taken advantage of the first class hospitality and had a few too many glasses of wine. When she wakes up from a sexy dream about touching Michael she finds she was not dreaming and is in fact clutching at him in her sleep. However she also notices that he is not abhorrent to her touch either. She feels an instant connection with him that she cannot fathom. She leaves the plane in a rush to escape her embarrassment and the effect this man has on her. Imagine her surprise the next day to find out that Michael is none other than Vincent ‘Michael’ Scarpetti – the owner of Tempo and the man she needs to impress to win the bid for her company.

Michael is also trying to eradicate the indiscretions of his father’s business activities for which he has been incarcerated for the last twenty years which in turn have continued to have an impact on his life. He has no privacy as the press continue to hound him to try to uncover the secrets he may be keeping for his father. By creating Tempo he is hoping to finally stand proud to show he is his own man and nothing to do with his father’s past.

The intensity of the attraction of Karlie and Michael was exceptionally steamy and hot to read. The risqué actions (mainly down to Karlie not wearing panties under her tight dresses!) just gave the erotica storyline more. This was intertwined with the suspense of escaping the press and his father’s ex henchmen threatening Michael through Karlie. I liked the elements of angst and insecurity to add an extra layer to the read, which was mainly down to Karlie’s lack of confidence in herself.

As I have already pointed out the descriptive narrative of the surroundings and the interior design was intricate but I would have liked this to have been as in depth for some of the romantic scenes between Karlie and Michael. I found some iconic moments were glossed over whereas I would have liked to have had more given.

The main characters were extremely likable and the secondary characters complimented the read, especially Earl – the lovable old gent. Evan was wonderful to hate and the ending where all was revealed about Karlie’s past with him was a shocker. It gave the reader closure as to why Karlie became how she was.

I really enjoyed this romantic erotica read and shall look forward to more from Ms Maestas.

**ARC PROVIDED BY AUTHOR IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW**

Whew, this book was filled with high emotional and sexual tension. Tempo was a riveting and exciting journey. With their different backgrounds, yet both just as conflicting, Vincent and Karlie finds love in each other and manages to move on from their pasts. A beautiful and intricate romance that urged me to read on.

This book is undeniably schmexy. With a smoking hot businessman, the son of a gangster who's building his own empire in Vegas, Vincent Scarpetti, and an interior designer with a dark past that she's trying to move on from, Karlie McKenna, comes an exciting romance about two lovers with pasts holding them back as they try to push forward to build their future together.

I loved how easy they were around each other. Like best friends and lovers. One of my favorite parts of the book!

“When did you decide you liked me?” I ask.

“The moment you stared at my package on the plane; I knew I liked you. How could I not like a girl who obviously has an eye for quality?”

Definitely give this book a try!

3.5 out of 5 pennies

Karlie is an up and coming designer who has been sent out to Vegas to land the biggest account of her career. Michael is a real estate developer trying to leave a stigma behind him and prove himself a credible businessman.

The premise of the book intrigued me as I love Vegas and have been there multiple times. I enjoyed reading about places I have visited and creating mental images of Tempo based upon the author's description.

The building heat between Karlie and Michael was steamy. Their attraction to one another was undeniable and created some interesting moments as they crossed the line between business and pleasure. Michael was an alpha male in the fact that he needed to keep control for many many reasons, some of which are not discovered until very late in the story which keeps you wanting so badly to know what happens next.

There were times when I felt the story was very compelling and other times where I thought , "In what realm of reality would this happen?" While I enjoyed the fact that Karlie understood the need to create an edge for herself when competing against two seasoned interior designers for the Tempo job. announcing at a business dinner that she wasn't wearing panties was a bit over the top for me, but I think that is more from my personal point of view than anything else.

I enjoyed the story overall and think that anyone looking for some escapism erotic romance will breeze through the book.

"... you are an endless buffet of pleasure. I can feast on you for the rest of my life and I won't get tired...." ~ Vincent

Kelley Maestas weaves an amazing story and that line is now my all time favorite!

I received this as an ARC for an honest review. I have honestly got to tell you that this is a great story that won't leave you wondering what's next for this great couple.

Karlie and Vincent both have pasts that are less than ideal and are hesitant about relationships because of them.

Karlie is a character that anyone can easily relate to and I love her "inner smart girl". She is a dedicated and loving, young designer that just got offered a career changing opportunity.

Enter Vincent. His charm and attitude will leave you lusting for more. It's no wonder Karlie can't concentrate! He is such a dynamic personality, he will be with me for a long time.

I loved that the troubles in their past did not dominate the story line but added just enough intrigue. This is a definite must read it will make the "smart girl" in you smile and will satisfy your craving for something sexy.

This book is a sweet romance... it also is a book that you wont want to put down until you are finished reading it.
It is not just a book about 2 people that find each other & get their happily ever after. Their road to happiness has so many road blocks. Im not going to give the story away for those that have not yet read the book, but I will say that when Karlie's heart was breaking I felt like mine was breaking for her. When Michael felt despair I really wanted to hug him. When they came back together I wanted to cheer for them. And the sex scenes.. well they are sweet & HOT! This book also has lots of funny moments! Look out for what happens on the plane at the beginning, it will have you laughing out loud!!
Kelly has written this book so well that I could easily empathize with Karlie & Michael & I have to say everyone needs a motherly figure like Anna.
If you want to ride along with the characters & go through their emotions with them along the way then this is a must read!!
And since this is Kelly's 1st book, when you are done, if you haven't already, go check out her latest release 'Just Dessert" I promise you wont be disappointed!!

I received this ARC for an Honest Review from Net-Galley.

This novel was amazing. It had a great story-line. It had romance, and really caught my attention. I read this book in two days flat because I couldn't get enough. lol. I really did love it. I love romance, so maybe that is why. But I really did think it was because Kelley wrote about these characters so well. They had great backgrounds and personalities, they were like REAL people. You can tell that she had an emotional connection to this book while writing it because the context was real enough to be standing right in front of me. If that makes any sense..

I would definitely recommend this book to EVERYONE out there. There is no specific age group really. Anyone can read it and fall in love with the book. I would have to rate this AMAZING novel 5 stars due to all the emotional content and to the well developed story. I can not wait for another book of Kelley Maestas to come out. I will be the very first to get it. Trust me.

What happens in Vegas stays ini Vegas right? Well maybe and maybe not. Karlie is an interior designer and takes on a project for her company that will send her to Vegas for 3 months over the holidays. She was picked for the position because she is the only one that will not be missed by other over the holidays. She has no one in her life except her work collegues. And that is the way she likes it. Taking control of her life and moving it in the direction she wants.
On the plane to Vegas she gets to sit next to one of the sexiest me she has ever seen. Unfortunately once the flight is over that will be the last she sees of him. That is until she meets her boss for the project the next day and it turns out to be her sexy airplane partner.
The sparks are immediate and the sex is hot! This book has it all, love, romance, laughter, and drama along with the HEA at the end. Its a great fun read for those that like the full story told in one book.

Mob connections, blackmailing ex douches, an extravagant hotel and Las Vegas - a recipe for an intriguing book. Karlie takes on a three month assignment because she's the only one with no one. No one will miss her over the holidays. The entertainment starts as soon as she boards the plane for Vegas and doesn't stop.

She's drawn into a maelstrom, both from her own past and her new boss's past, and she tries to let go and enjoy whilst still protecting her heart.

It's amusing, it's sad, at times it's even cruel, and had me convinced we were heading for an epic cliffhanger, thankfully I was wrong, there's a full story in this book, and it's a story I enjoyed reading.

Karlie comes out of her shell in Vegas and she has a wicked sense of humour, sadly it's not enough to stop her past catching up with her, leaving you unsure whether she has the strength to fight for what she wants.

Entertaining story with just enough twists and turns to keep you turning the pages.

Karlie lives alone, no pet, no friends, no boyfriend. She was likes it that way. She was hurt in college and doesn't want a repeat of it. That is until she get an opportunity of a lifetime to design the interior of a new casino in Vegas. She falls asleep on the plane only to wake up to find she's fallen asleep on the incredibly sexy man next to her. He's the first man to stir the yearnings she thought were long gone.

Vincent Scarpetti is trying to prove that he isn't following in his father's footsteps. He's leading a clean life free of crime or trying to but the past has a way of coming back to try to get you.

This was a very good read for me. I think a bit of finesse could have helped it along as sometimes it didn't read very smoothly by overall a great story with a couple that falls quickly into love.

This read really helped me remember why I love sexy billionaires so much! Karlie is an interior designer who is on her way to design the interiors of a new posh hotel. She meets a handsome man on the plane and ends up meeting him again when she lands. Michael is a rich, successful and handsome man however he like Karlie has a dark past. I enjoyed this story so much, I loved Karlie's character. I found myself falling for Michael right from the start. He was everything that I love in a book boyfriend, intelligent, hot, and all man. He was intimidating but in a good way. The only thing I would have wanted is for it to be longer! I need more Michael Scarpetti in my life. Maybe reading is his POV would be amazing!

I loved this story!! It a short quick read but it's great. Karlie is an interior designer working for Anna Sloan Design. She goes to Las Vegas to land a job designing a luxury hotel/casino called Tempo. Vincent Scarpetti is the owner of Tempo.

Karlie's plane trip to Vegas is a very funny one. She sits next to a totally hot guy named Michael. She finds out once she gets to Tempo that Michael is not be who she thinks he is. The chemistry between Michael and Karlie is great. She tries to fight it but it's no use.

Tempo is a great story. It has romance as well as suspense. It's doesn't have cliffhanger.

Timing is everything. There's a right time and often lots of wrong times. But sometimes what looks wrong can be perfectly right. Karlie and Michael are as adorable together as they are frustrating. Neither one of them is really good at trusting or communicating so it makes for some interesting scenes as they learn how to do these things with each other. They've both got lots of baggage that they need to unpack and deal with. I love that even though Karlie is naive she's not weak. She's a good match for Michael's alpha personality. All the things he does to protect her and show her how much she means to him are utterly swoon-worthy.

Tempo Karlie is taken for a great ride in this great read. Not only is she supposed meeting a son of a mobster but in fact meeting the one who will truly make her happy. Michael while devoted to the no girlfriend rule is melted by Karlie and is able to love her like none other and in turn given her redemption for her innocence lost. Amazing!

Great!

This book was interesting from the start. It has all of the key elements of a romantic suspense book and not your usual plot which makes it that much more intriguing and exciting. I really enjoyed the ending and the little details that make it that much more of a happy ending. I would recommend this book to all !

Overall Rating: 3.5 Stars

Karlie is an up and coming designer for the top-notch company Ann Sloan designs. One morning she gets called into her boss’s office and is presented with an Opportunity to go to Vegas for a very high profile and lucrative job assignment. Her boss also informs her that there are two catches, one she will have to compete for the account against two other very well known design companies. And the other is that she will be required to stay in Vegas for three months while she completes the assignment if she is chosen. Karlie is determined to land the contract and is more then prepared for the challenge, what she isn’t prepared for is Vincent Michael Scarpetti.

Vincent Micheal Scarpetti or Micheal as he is known is trying to step out of the shadows of his fathers tainted past. He is determined to make a name for himself and has worked very hard to build Tempo a new luxury hotel and casino. He refuses to let his fathers bad choices determine his future. Michael is a very serious man and tends to be all business. He doesn’t date and fills his needs from casual flings. But from the moment he meets Karlie he starts to wonder if he might end up changing his no dating rule.

"My life’s goal is to right the wrongs of my father. I want to redeem the Scarpetti name so that someday my children will be able to walk with their heads held high"

There was an immediate attraction between Michael and Karlie and you could just feel like the sexual tension rolling off of them. It was freaking hot. I really loved the pace the Author set as far as how their relationship developed and the way they danced the line between a professional relationship and a physical one really had me intrigued. I found myself silently willing them to cross that line. I felt like I was a sex cheerleader. There were a couple times they came so close that I just wanted to reach in the book and give them a little push to help out and get them where they needed to go or more over where I really wanted them to go. Because I knew there were going to be some hot sex scenes in this book and the Author did not disappoint at all in that area.

"The deeper I take him into my mouth, the closer he gets to his release. I am in control. I get to decide. This is the most erotic experience I have had"

I liked Karlie’s character in this book but I can’t say I loved her because there were definitely some issues I had with her. I admire that she worked her ass off to get where she is and she is very talented at what she does. And I really loved how the author gave her character an inner smart girl that she was always going to for advise. Some of the conversations she had with her “inner self” had me laughing out loud. She was quirky funny at times and other times she was a huge over thinker. What I didn’t like was the crying at random times, sometimes it just really didn’t fit and threw me totally off. At those points she became kind of annoying to me.

Well I can say I loved Michael, he was hot and charming. He carries himself so confidently and I found that sexy as all hell. He was all businessman with a side dish of alpha male. Nice combo. I also like how he was so focused on his work and making sure nothing and no one would destroy his dream of opening Tempo and making it a huge success. You could really feel how much he wanted it and I really admired his drive and determination.

As the book continues Michael and Karlie’s relationship heats up. But as the grand opening of Tempo draws near Karlie is left wondering what will happen once her three months is up and the job is over? Will Michael hold onto his no dating rule or will Karlie be the one to make him break it?

"As our lips part I gaze into his eyes. I wonder what he sees in mine? Do they give me away? I am falling hard for this man"

This book was a quick, fun read and while I did enjoy reading it, I really liked it a lot better during the first half. It just got a little boring for me during the second half and kind of lost me a bit at times. I think the problem for me was that while I really love when an Author goes into detail in a book sometimes it can be so overdone and this was the case in parts with this book. Yes I want to know details to bring me more into the story but I don’t need to have every single one. I don’t want or need an in depth description of the color of the sheets or the matching window treatments. I felt like every time we walked into a room we were given details of everything from the ceiling to the floor and in between. I can see how the Author probably did this because of the fact that Karlie was a designer but it got to be too much. But overall it was a good read and I really did see a lot of potential from this Author. I would read her books again.

I really enjoyed this book overall, Karlie was true to her character. As an interior designer she notices the designs of everywhere she goes. I love that kind of detail. The characters seemed very well developed and three dimensional. Michael was a successful business man who doesn't like who is father is and is doing everything he can to prove he is not the same.

This book starts off with up and coming interior designer, Karlie. She is a bit of a loner, single for may years after getting out of a horrible relationship. Karlie is sent to vegas to compete for the lead of the biggest project of her career. She is seated next to a very good looking man on the place and falls asleep on his shoulder. She gets settled in to her hotel room and when she goes to meet Mr. Scarpetti only to realize that the man she sat next to on the plane. They feel an instant attraction. They have a few encounters and when he puts his arm around her she wants to stay in that moment. I feel that while that might seem like a bit much for some, I have known many who have experienced the same feeling after being single for a long time. Karlie and Michael's attraction to each other is undeniable and clear to see. I don't feel as though they fell in love when they met, but that the love developed as the story went on.

I really enjoyed this book from character development to story, plot and even the pace of the book. This is a stand alone book, that could be made into a series if the author chooses. This book was really hard to put down once I started reading it.

I did feel that there were a few things that were a bit far fetched, and just a little too unrealistic for my taste. While those parts turned me off, they were small enough that I could choose to ignore them.
Like Karlie falling asleep on a perfect stranger and ends up fondling him in her sleep. Another was her competition. They were supposed to be seasoned designers, older. They acted like high school enemies, picking on her, being blatantly rude and disrespectful to Karlie in front of the man who was deciding which one of them to hire.

Karlie is one of those girls everyone knows, they live their lives in solitude because the world has dealt them heavy blows early in life. As soon as i started reading this book i already felt proud of her and wanted to befriend her to remind her what life is about. Though Karlie has been dealt some blows she's has successes in her career as an interior designer extraordinary which lands her an opportunity in Vegas (with jazz fingers).

Flight from Colorado to Vegas becomes the first step in Karlie coming into herself.

I really enjoyed Tempo, even more the Tempo (see what i did there) of the story. Karlie is a small girl emotionally in a woman's body. As the story flows you see her break out of her shell. Her life is work and nothing more, with no friends or family she's a create of habit. Vincent becomes smitten with her immediately but his own demons can ruin the growing relationship.

Tempo has great originality, character development and is one of the rare books these days that end. If Kelley wants to make this a series she can but the book has an introduction, body and conclusion. Don't let this review fool you, Tempo also has some HOT!!!! scenes that will make you need a cold shower or two! I enjoyed it and will def recommend Tempo.

I really liked this story. I was quite surprised since, honestly, the cover of this book is horrible. Not at all what you would expect from the story. The story involved 2 young adults who were both talented and intelligent in their own rights. The book cover looks like something from a bad B movie. Other then the bad cover, I enjoyed the story.
