I have always steered clear of "angel" books since the surge of angel-type books and merchandise in the 80's and a warning from church leaders not to "worship angels." However, I was recently drawn to read this book and I'm so glad I did. Marie Chapian is not only an education professional, she is a sold-out lover of Jesus Christ. She actually addresses that surge I mentioned above in her book and clearly states that her book is in no way promoting such worship. Besides all the Scripturally-based support she provides on the presence of angels in our lives, she mentions a book she wrote with Dr. William Backus, "Telling Yourself the Truth" that addresses "misbeliefs" we collect throughout our lives. I am now immersed in that.

I highly recommend this book! ~CCS

Both informative and entertaining. This is a descriptive account of angelic beings based on scriptural references, complete with scriptural renderings of their duties and responsibilities.

This book is “a lot.”

I struggled to rate this book because I assign 2 stars when I don’t like a book, and 3 when I like it. This is really more of a 2.5 book for me.

I contemplated quitting and deleting the book many times. Then I would sit down to skim it, and change my mind. It’s hard to put into words why this book pulled me in and repelled me at the same time, but I will try.

The author’s experiences feel like pure imagination. Yet I hesitate to call her a fraud. Her writing style is chaotic and frenzied, yet she does place these word-menageries under chapter and subject headings.

Her Bible quotes are plentiful, and her summaries of Bible information made me wonder how to fact-check it.

At times, I appreciated her message, and I am inspired as much as ever to seek a closer relationship to God and look out for angels (who I believe have shown up in my life but without the drama depicted in this book). Other times, I found the book hard to take.

I would not call this a well written book or one that makes you want to keep reading. I found it more of a mostly irritating book from which I couldn’t look away.

If you want to know what the Bible says about angels, you will find plenty of that in this book. If you want to know about the author’s experience with angels, there’s almost too much about that.

But the journey through those topics feels chaotic and often off-putting. I can neither recommend it nor criticize it. The book is just “a lot.”

This book is written by Marie Chapian who writes about walking with Jesus, speaking with her angels and being taken away in the Spirit. She also preaches, heals and possesses other Scriptural gifts.

A feel-good approach especially if you tend to think negatively about today's environment. No big "aha" for me.

Very informative. The author used scripture to let us know the truth about the roles of angels God assigned to each one of us. God’s Word is true and what is written we can believe whole heartedly.

It was ok. It got a little away from talking about Angels and was talking more about God here and there, but it was an ok read.
