Jessica's business trip to New York is not going well. Not only does she wake up in a stranger's apartment, but the company she works for claims never to have heard of her.
Jess wakes up in a hotel room without her husband. She tracks him down and discovers he is married to another woman. When a stranger, Jake, tries to convince her that she is heading up a multi-million dollar deal, it is too much for Jess, the teacher, to take in.
Trapped on the wrong side of a parallel universe, Jessica and Jess turn to Jake to help them work out who they really are and what they really want.
Same wrong parallel universe 'This a racy read and the two stories flow into each other seamlessly. Each one of us must have thought at some point what our lives would be like had we taken a different route and this plot just hits a nerve.' - The Chicklit Club
This book was fun to read but can get a little confusing. When the lives of married schoolteacher Jessica Burns and single fund manager Jessica Anderson get switched, it's a wonder no one has them committed. They both feel like they're going crazy! Neither one of them can figure out what's going on, but after awhile they both begin to settle in and go with the flow...
This book is written from a fresh perspective than the standard chick lit out there. Two women with the same name (Jess and Jessica) and different lives swap over their lives during identical drunken binges. The swap happens without any choice on their part and the confusion and predicaments the main and secondary characters get themselves into are quite plausible, though slightly confusing in places. This book isn't as humorous as Millie and The American Wedding but the pace of the book is perfect and the ending is imperfectly perfect.
Two stories in one following the same heroine! Confused? You won't be but you will want to live the two lives of Jessica and find out what happens in the end! Easy read with a clever plot!
Another Anna Bell book which I struggled to put down. She is very quickly becoming one of may favourite authors. This definitely isn’t my favourite of hers, but it certainly didn’t disappoint. Written differently to her other books in the sense of each chapter is a character perspective. Before reading, I read many mixed reviews about this book but I loved it. It’s lighthearted with romantic moments and also times where you can easily relate. I would definitely recommend this book.
What if you could see what life would be like if you had made different choices? Jess woke up from her life with Benjy only to find herself single and working a job she doesn't remember. Alternatively, her alter, Jessica is confused when she finds herself married and working as a teacher.
It's a little like Freaky Friday, on!y with just one person. It's a fun read as the "2" women try to work out how to live their lives.
