I have been blessed in this life to not only have parents that support me, but kids that do as well. I grew up in a loving but "Old School" French household. My parents worked for the airlines (TWA) so I was able to see a lot of Europe as a kid. I moved to Seattle Washington at the age of 22 and stayed there for twelve years before moving to Alaska for a little over two. Fairbanks, AK was one hell of an experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back! I spent a little over a year in South Carolina before moving back to Arizona. I then left for Kansas for five years and now reside in Arizona. I've been connected to the military in one way or another for over half my life and wouldn't change a thing about it. Writing has become my full time job and I've never been so happy doing a job I love and being able to do it in my jammies. I plan on writing until I dry up and die. Hopefully, that won't happen soon!

Brain Beach I bought this three years ago and finally got to it. Great premise. Weak follow through. So as far as 'brain bleach' this was okay. Nowhere near a great read, I didn't stop reading it but I didn't take it seriously.

Normally I do not write reviews and if I do they are pretty short and to the point. These two books however have me wishing I could get back the couple of days I spent reading it. A Marked Man wasn't too bad, but Alaska with Love had me gagging and not in the good way! I thought this series would give me something to read until the final book of the Cut & Run series comes out, but I think I'll pass.

****SPOILERS****

I mean SERIOUSLY! The author repeats herself constantly. I know how the MC met, I read it in chapter One. Why in the hell are you mentioning it again in Chapters 5-9?!? Can you honestly expect us to believe that within a month the guys are falling in love and getting married? Huh? Alaska with Love was horrible. I am all for a GFY story, but seriously, the STRAIGHT guy, Josh, all of a sudden has a hard on the minute he looks at Mark?!? I understand Mark went through a terrible time and it would be traumatic for anyone, but there is NO WAY I believe that Josh would all of the sudden be okay with being the bottom the VERY FIRST time they have sex. I perceived Mark as a bit girly. I mean she said the man giggles. Giggles!!!!! Women and my very feminine friend Armando giggle. So, imagine my surprise when they were having sex and Mark all of the sudden becomes this super macho man. I can't deal with the stupidity of it all. I do not think I will continue with the series. I just can't.....

I enjoyed the first book better than the second. Overall, I found the writing stilted, plot movement too slow, too much sex, not enough realism, and it was all way too sappy for me. Too much talk about how beautiful they were, too much reassurance, constant repetition, especially in the second book. I gave two stars for the first book, but I didn't think the second deserved that many. Needs a ruthless editor, but I get the feeling someone wanted all that filler.

Also, these two books are not about shifters, in case that's what you're looking for.

Loved it!!!

Ok for all those authors out there who think that just because it's gay romance we want to bypass the romance and get straight to the action, take a lesson. This is how you write a gay romance, just the right amount of love to balance out the lust. I wanted to know these guys, they became real for me with every page I turned. This is one series I will definitely come back for more of (and with 20 our so books I'm gonna be a happy girl). I also loved that the author gave herself enough space to develop the story (about 220 pgs per book).

Riley looked into those hazel eyes and almost sighed. An assassin sure, but a caring one nonetheless.

“Huh?” Josh was lost in those deep blue pools. God, he was drowning and he didn’t care.

Surprise Surprise

These books are freaking good! You get action, adventure and suspense. Even though there's plenty of killing in here it's not the only thing going on. Each story has tough men getting a surprise they weren't expecting. The mm action is damn hot and sweet. For me this was a book that also made me laugh...it can't get any better. Enjoy, I did...on to #3.
